Ok, ok, enough with the serious "bitcoin muh millions" talk (as important as that is to the future of our species, in fact the entire galaxy!), the Huwaite House delivers some comedy gold: Liberal snowflake CNN-loving loony trigger warning: CNN gets trashed, the following is no safe space, you might wanna read no further - you ave been warned. http://redpilltimes.com/cnn-will-boycott-white-house-christmas-because-trum… CNN will boycott White House Christmas Party, 'cause Trump hurt their feelz! For real... … CNN reply to Trump’s fake news branding, was given on Sunday, when the news network floated the idea to viewers that perhaps it was time to “ban the term Fake News.” … Yeah, that'll work CNN - great going with that idea :)

The Saker, from the heart: ** How I Became a Kremlin Troll - The Saker's Short Autobiographical Note https://russia-insider.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fa2faf7034c3c3c413… ------------------------------------------------------------ by The Saker on Wed, Nov 29, 2017 Dear friends, Today, with the kind permission of Phil Butler, I am posting the full text of my contribution to his book “Putin’s Praetorians: Confessions of the Top Kremlin Trolls“. There are a couple of reasons for that. The main one is that I strongly believe that this book deserves a much bigger visibility than it has received (this is also why, exceptionally, I am placing this post in the top “analyses” category and not elsewhere).

New Element - Governmentium
by Zenaan Harkness 30 Nov '17

30 Nov '17

----- Forwarded message from Gil May <gilmay97(a)gmail.com> ----- New Element - Governmentium Scientists at CERN in Geneva have announced the discovery of the HEAVIEST element yet known to science. AND yes ... it was discovered in Australia, which is now the leading producer. The new element is Governmentium (Gv). It has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lefton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons or protons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes in contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction normally taking less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years. It does not decay but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass. When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons. All of the money is consumed in the exchange, and no other by-products are produced.

absurd MacOS High Sierra bug
by John Newman 30 Nov '17

30 Nov '17

https://it.slashdot.org/story/17/11/28/2135236/macos-high-sierra-bug-allows… The title pretty much says it all - you can login as root with no password, or elevate to root privileges to make system changes with no password, on all the current MacOS High Sierra releases. There is a work around (I think you simply have to enable the root account, with a password), but man.. wtf !? It shouldn't affect sshd - PermitRootLogin defaults to no. However it does appear to affect VNC / Apple Remote Desktop connections. LOL! How does something like this get past QA ? -- GPG fingerprint: 17FD 615A D20D AFE8 B3E4 C9D2 E324 20BE D47A 78C7

YubiKey
by John Newman 30 Nov '17

30 Nov '17

Does anyone have any experience with a YubiKey? Specifically using it with the PAM module you can download from their site and tying it to logins for Linux/*BSD/MacOS ? I've got lots of experience (from jobs) using RSA SecurID tokens, tying them to sshd/login/sudo/etc with pam and the securid PAM module, and it works really well.. I understand YubiKey is not going to print out a stream of changing digits for me, but nor will it require an RSA SecurID server and all that goes along with it.. And also I've read you can store your GPG private keys on the yubikey, which sounds cool. Is it worth the buy? Anyone using it for any of the above (or other) purposes? I suppose I should do some more reading, just curious if anyone loved it or hated it or whatever.. thanks! -- GPG fingerprint: 17FD 615A D20D AFE8 B3E4 C9D2 E324 20BE D47A 78C7
