My second Facebook thoughtcrime in two weeks!
by Steve Kinney 21 Apr '19

21 Apr '19

Me so proud: Just got locked out of The Facebook for the second time in two weeks, this time thanks to a MegaChurch Xtian bitch I happen to know IRL, who recognized herself "all to clearly" in this post and falsely reported it as a TOS violation: http://pilobilus.net/good.little.nazis.html Don't y'all hate on me 'cause I have an account at The Facebook. I set it up when I needed to verify the promotional gimmicks I was building into a couple of commercial websites - the effectiveness of "share on Facebook" buttons (home made, non-tracking unless the sucker clicks on them), positive control of the preview images and text presented, etc. Once it was there, I started using the Facebook account to pump out propaganda. If nothing else, the local activist community noticed and I got yanked into the scene and 'made use of.' My kind of fun! I encourage CPunks readers who also maintain accounts at The Facebook - no need to confess that sin here - to share the above link. Since it's hosted on my website vs. presenting as your very own thoughtcrime, this should not lead to any sanctions. I will, of course, make the said link my own first post once "allowed" to access The Facebook again. Have you annoyed a polite, respectable Nazi Pig today? :o)

Yep, if he's extradited, this is how it will go. Unless choked to death in a paddy wagon, poisoned, knifed, shot, dropped from a chopper, droned, electrocuted, chemo'd, infected with fatal disease, or converted to a high value undercover (deeper than since 2006). Meanwhile, El Papa Frank is working a quickie sainthood with eternal asylum in St. Pete's Squat coutured in finery with Yahweh's holy sexual predators. At 03:19 AM 4/19/2019, you wrote: >https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-47874728 > >"Almost 300 years ago, the foundations for American protections of >the free press were laid in the trial of John Peter Zenger. Where reporters once arranged for drop >spots, there are now digital equivalents for such exchanges.

But after lobbying from trade associations that represent the interests of Google, Amazon -- makers of the microphone-enabled Google Home and Alexa smart speakers, respectively -- and Microsoft, among other companies, the interests of big tech won out... In its current, neutered form, the bill provides exclusive authority to the Attorney General to enforce the Act, which means regular citizens won't be able to bring forward a case regarding tech giants recording them in their homes. Ars Technica notes the move comes after Amazon admitted thousands of their employees listen to Alexa recordings -- "something not mentioned in Echo's terms of service or FAQ pages." Vice points out that sometimes those recordings are shared "even after users opt out of having their data used in the program." In an interview on iFixit's Repair Radio [YouTube], Rep. Jeff Morris said that "word on the street" was that Microsoft, "marshalled forces to keep the bill from moving out of the House Rules committee." He claimed "there was a tax proposal here ... to pay for STEM education," and that "in exchange for Microsoft support[ing that tax,] having Right to Repair die..." was a condition, as well as another privacy policy Microsoft wanted to advance. The state representative hedged that "I can't confirm or deny this, because I have not seen a smoking gun." But he also told his interviewer that to paint a discouraging picture of the landscape after passage of the bill, "Microsoft was going around telling our members that they wouldn't sell Surface Tablets in Washington any longer."

Fwd: [Cryptography] [ADMIN] Too many fake "Satoshis"

Self described "libertarian", thinking freely as usual... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: "Perry E. Metzger" <perry(a)piermont.com> Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2019 16:00:32 -0400 Subject: [Cryptography] [ADMIN] Too many fake "Satoshis" To: cryptography(a)metzdowd.com We've got a bunch of people currently subscribed to the Cryptography list with various permutations of the name "Satoshi Nakomoto", which is sort of harmless if a bit bizarre. However, at intervals, someone tries to post messages under that name, usually promoting some scam. Naturally, the moderators reject all such posts; we're not morons. Unfortunately, I think the time has come to be a bit more formal about this because I'm sick of wasting time on it. So, I'm instituting a new rule. No one is even going to be allowed to subscribe to the list under that name any longer (let alone post!) unless they are capable of signing a reasonable demonstration message under a public key known to be controlled by the "Satoshi Nakomoto" pseudonym. The real "Satoshi" would have no problem doing that. For the rest of you, don't even bother; as I said, we're not idiots. I will also be unsubscribing all of the current fake "Satoshi" addresses in a little bit. (If you're actually "Satoshi" and want to subscribe under that pseudonym, feel free to get in touch with appropriate public key signed evidence, though I suspect that the real "Satoshi" has no such desire. If you get in touch without such evidence, your message is getting thrown away without a reply.) Perry -- Perry E. Cryptocurrency: Cockroach Protocols, End NYDFS Bitlicense, CSW Behavior Slammed Delist BSV

https://twitter.com/AriDavidPaul/status/878958948589678593 In the "nuclear war" between governments and blockchains, only the cockroach protocols will survive. "The key measures are censorship resistance, resiliency of the network and community, and anonymity. I have often thought this as well and wondered why anonymity features aren't prioritized with Bitcoin. It is beginning. The crackdown. The European Union introduced harsh legislation against crypto currencies recently aswell. They can't take that everything is becoming decentralized and out of their reach. Once a decentralized system succeeds they can't do anything about it, there is no organisation, no nothing they could attack. Their only advantage now is the gateway to crypto currencies - FIAT. They will loose this in the foreseeable future. If trading is made decentralized even for fiat they can't do anything. They are loosing control on all fronts and they are panicking. Decentralized marketplaces like open Bazar is the next thing. On all fronts cryptos are offer decentralized solutions and the government is watching live how things get out of their hand.
