>From the "Consequences for literally failing to lie for the USA public prosecution" dept. Imagine our SHAWK, SHAWK I tell ya! Flynn's Defense Files Motion Saying His Former Legal Team "Betrayed Him" https://www.zerohedge.com/political/flynns-defense-files-motion-saying-his-… Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn ... denied that he lied to the FBI during the White House meeting with then FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and FBI Special Agent Joe Pientka. The meeting was set up by now fired FBI Director James Comey and then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was also fired for lying to Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigators. Strzok was fired by the FBI for his actions during the Russia investigation. “... nor do I remember if we discussed the details of a UN vote on Israel.” ... Powell said prosecutors reversed course on their decision to not push for jail time for Flynn in early January because she said, her client “refused to lie for the prosecution” in the Rafiekian case.

https://www.wired.com/story/inside-the-nsas-secret-tool-for-mapping-your-so… Inside the NSA’s Secret Tool for Mapping Your Social Network Barton Gellman 05.24.2020 07:00 AM Edward Snowden revealed the agency’s phone-record tracking program. But thanks to “precomputed contact chaining,” that database was much more powerful than anyone knew. An integrated map, presented graphically, would eventually allow the NSA to display nearly anyone’s movements and communications on a global scale. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center https://www.google.com/maps/place/40°25'19.0"N 111°56'07.0"W https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bamford https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_data_centers https://www.qwant.com/?q=amazon+data+centers https://www.qwant.com/?q=facebook+data+centers https://www.qwant.com/?q=microsoft+data+centers The data center is able to process "all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Internet searches, as well as all types of personal data trails — parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital 'pocket litter'." "What if a small group of citizens had secret access to the telephone logs and social networks of government officials? How might that privileged knowledge affect their power to shape events? China Issues Stay-At-Home Order To Hong Kong To Prevent Spread Of Democracy https://babylonbee.com/news/china-issues-stay-at-home-order-to-hong-kong-to… .. Reaction by the American media was swift. “Wow, China is so great! I wish we could be like China!” exclaimed numerous journalists. “Why can’t Trump be China?” American politicians also spoke up on the order. “Hopefully the people in Hong Kong will be more compliant than Americans,” said Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer. “We issued our stay-at-home order far too late to stop the spread of the idea that people have liberty and can do whatever they want.” Other Babylon Bee headlines found here: To Save Time, The Babylon Bee Will Now Just Republish Everything Biden Says Verbatim https://babylonbee.com/news/biden-offered-position-as-staff-writer-at-the-b… ... grounds for censorship - Morticians are never compromised, autopsies are always perfectly true
by Zig the N.g 27 May '20

27 May '20

[From the Streissand department of always ignoring what someone you don't like says.] So it's really, really important to know that morticians never ever compromise their ethics (I mean, dead people are the most important people in the world, so no one would EVER consider, let alone actually do, a dodgy autopsy report) and, so, absolutely ALL autopsies are bonafide, +1 thumbs up, absolutely correct in every detail! Do NOT forget this truth - autopsies are always always true and correct and are never ever faked or doctored. The motivation and money bribes available by the rich and powerful to bribe a mortician has simply never made in through the squeaky clean doors of simply ALL morticians ever, so do not even consider the possibility that such abominable practices could ever happen! Squeakity squeak ... Trump Doubles Down As Widower, Media Demand "Inhumane" Scarborough Murder Tweets Be Deleted https://www.zerohedge.com/political/trump-doubles-down-media-demands-inhuma… .. Klausutis's cause was taken up by Recode editor and New York Times opinion writer Kara Swisher, once considered "the dean of tech journalism". Swisher has long been a proponent of increasing censorship across social media platforms, and her latest piece urging twitter to finally 'do something' about its most 'problematic' user' reads like just another hypersensitive, overblown piece of clickbait trash, with Swisher describing Trump's tweets as "inhumane" - yes, she used that word - as if he had signed off on the napalming of a small village in Vietnam, instead of firing off a handful of tweets, which would have only been seen by a small fraction of his 80 million users if 'reporters' like Swisher hadn't chosen to write about it. Trump offered a defense of his tweets Tuesday morning. ....about whether or not Joe could have done such a horrible thing? Maybe or maybe not, but I find Joe to be a total Nut Job, and I knew him well, far better than most. So many unanswered & obvious questions, but I won’t bring them up now! Law enforcement eventually will? — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 26, 2020 https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1265271286789558273?ref_src=twsr… .. Update (1120ET): Less than an hour after we posted our previous update to this post, Swisher popped up on CNBC, wearing her trademark dark sunglasses .. Then she launched into her argument, .. Twitter is a private, not a public, platform, therefore, it has an obligation to remove "offensive" content. Responding to the argument that Trump's tweets are inherently newsworthy, Swisher argued that there was nothing 'newsworthy' about Trump's tweets (they took one of Bolsonaro's tweets down, she protested). .. As a potential solution, Swisher said Twitter should consider adopting a "content board" to review controversial tweets.

Re: Shame on trolls

My comment was not aimed at you, a number of folks have posted requests to enlist supporters, researchers, funders, for their projects. A few have repeated the tequests for many months, became irate and accusatory at lack of response. Might wonder if the aim is/was to grab free work, or proselitize for an ideology, overcome loneliness and isolation, front for others, or to just fuck with somebody. All these have been happening on cpunks since its earliest days. Lack of moderation allows that abuse or promise. Promises have sometimes come true. Moderation never delivers on promises, usually suppresses them as off-topic or calling them trolls..
