Slovak MP criminally charged for "we should also secure the future of white children"
by Zenaan Harkness 29 Mar '17

Well, we may not live in the age of freedom of speech, but sure live in an age of the testing of the validity of criminal charges against those saying things that other people object to. In Slovakia, it seems their laws fail to protect the "political" speech of their MPs - in Australia for example, we have relatively strong protection for our politicians, so they can usually get away with saying just about anything they want (why this should only apply to politicians?). And so, a few words which are considered, in Slovakia at least, potential "hate speech": "we should also secure the future of white children, not only the other ones" Razer, looks like you're gonna hafta RiseUp with your Soros buddies in Eastern Europe and stamp this Nazi rebellion into the ground! As you've said a few times now, on the spot death to all who speak such words (and therefore hold such views) is the only, dare I say final, solution ... "Razer's" "justice" is not the world I want to live in .. Slovakian MP to be criminally charged for stating: “…we should also secure the future of white children…” http://bbs.dailystormer.com/t/slovakian-mp-to-be-criminally-charged-for-sta…

Isis vows to destroy Iran - for tolerating Jews

Apparently this is the narractive sincerely put out by the Times of Israel. Of course there's no coincidence in the timing and this propaganda piece is highly believable, and there's no contradictions in play at all... not. We're at peak ludicrous news, peak fake news, or peak insanity. This would be genuinely funny if not for the destruction of the White fella's homelands. WAIT WAIT! Before you jump in with "racist!" hysteria, let me first agree with you - Sweden is doing absolutely fabulously, it's a welcoming tourist hotspot, and there are not over 200 no go zones for the swedish police. Or something ... And TRUMP is at the heart of it! Selling off America's assets like there's no tomorrow, doing dodgy deals behind the scenes and NOT ADMITTING to the public this graft and corruption. If only the Clintons had found out these facts BEFORE the elections! Ha, now that would have been something! [From offlist] Re: FBI Says It Can't Find Hackers to Hire Because They All Smoke Pot

Because anything worth saying to me offlist is worth putting on the list, ESPECIALLY when it's trollbait. Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg is the founder, CEO, and owner of Bloomberg L.P., the financial software, data, and media giant. As three-term mayor of New York City, he presided over tens of thousands of small-time pot busts, despite having famously answered a question about smoking pot with: "You bet I did, and I enjoyed it." NORML used those remarks as the basis for a full-page ad in the New York Times and ads on city buses, prompting Bloomberg to say he regretted those remarks, and that he was "a believer that we should enforce the laws, and I do not think that decriminalizing marijuana is a good idea." Richard Branson. The afore-mentioned Branson not only wants to invest in marijuana, he says he smokes it with his adult son. In a 2007 interview with GQ, he told Piers Morgan as much, saying father and son had lit up during an Australian beach vacation. In that same interview, Branson revealed that he had learned the art of joint-rolling from none other than Rolling Stone Keith Richards, who should know how it's done. Hugh Hefner. The Playboy magazine founder and octogenarian serial monogamist deserves kudos for being the first businessman to get behind pot legalization, donating $5,000 to help found NORML in 1970. Hef is still sticking to that position: “I don’t think there’s any question that marijuana should be legalized because to not legalize it, we’re paying the same price we paid for prohibition,” he said in 2010. But it wasn't just politics; Hefner liked what pot did for him: “Smoking helped put me in touch with the realm of the senses,” he told Patrick Anderson, author of High in America. “I discovered a whole other dimension to sex.” Mark Johnson. Johnson may not be as well-known as some other names on this list, but he is the CEO and founder of Descartes Labs, a New Mexico-based tech company, and before that, he was CEO of Zite, a Silicon Valley personalized news streaming company. Back in his Zite days, he told Bloomberg News he was a full-on stoner, toking up day in and day out, and that so many other tech workers were, too, that it was not an issue. “People just don’t care,” Johnson said. "If you do, you don’t need to hide it; and if you don’t, you accept that there are people around you that do.” He also defended marijuana users' productivity: “Pot is an extremely functional drug,” he said. “Coders can code on it, writers can write on it.” Peter Lewis. Lewis was CEO of Progressive Insurance from the 1960s to his retirement in 2000, and served as chairman until his death in 2013. He was also "a functioning pot head" who used weed for both fun and relief from chronic pain from a leg amputation in 1998. John Sperling. The University of Phoenix CEO died last year at age 93, but not before publicly acknowledging that he smoked marijuana manage the side effects of the treatment he received for prostate cancer. He, Lewis, and George Soros were the original troika of deep-pocketed marijuana reform businessmen; now only Soros is left, although Lewis's estate continues to invest in legalization efforts. Oprah Winfrey. The iconic Oprah isn't on TV anymore, but she' worth $3 billion and she's still the chairwoman and CEO of both Harpo Productions and the Oprah Winfrey Network, where she's also CCO. She has never staked out a position on marijuana legalization, but she has twice said she smoked it, although not for a long time. She told "Watch What Happens: Live" in 2013 that she had last smoked in 1982, and she told "The Late Show With David Letterman" earlier this year that she hadn't "smoked weed in 30 years." George Zimmer. The founder and recently ousted CEO of Men's Wearhouse is an unabashed pot smoker, as well as a financial backer of legalization efforts. Just a couple of weeks ago he told CNBC that he’s “been smoking marijuana on a regular basis for about 50 years.” And he's not take it easy after his 2013 firing, either: He has since gone on to create online tuxedo rental and tailoring companies. http://www.alternet.org/drugs/seven-successful-ceos-smoke-pot Top 50: 1. DragonFlyBSD 4.8 Released, Filesystems
by grarpamp 28 Mar '17

28 Mar '17

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13969855 https://www.dragonflybsd.org/release48/ Big-ticket items Improved kernel performance This release further localizes cache lines and reduces/removes cache ping-ponging on globals. For bulk builds on many-cores or multi-socket systems, we have around a 5% improvement, and certain subsystems such as namecache lookups and exec()s see massive focused improvements. See the corresponding mailing list post with details. Support for eMMC booting, and mobile and high-performance PCIe SSDs This kernel release includes support for eMMC storage as the boot device. We also sport a brand new SMP-friendly, high-performance NVMe SSD driver (PCIe SSD storage). Initial device test results are available. EFI support The installer can now create an EFI or legacy installation. Numerous adjustments have been made to userland utilities and the kernel to support EFI as a mainstream boot environment. The /boot filesystem may now be placed either in its own GPT slice, or in a DragonFly disklabel inside a GPT slice. DragonFly, by default, creates a GPT slice for all of DragonFly and places a DragonFly disklabel inside it with all the standard DFly partitions, such that the disk names are roughly the same as they would be in a legacy system. Improved graphics support The i915 driver has been updated to match the version found with the Linux 4.6 kernel. Broadwell and Skylake processor users will see improvements. Other user-affecting changes Kernel is now built using -O2. VKernels now use COW, so multiple vkernels can share one disk image. powerd() is now sensitive to time and temperature changes. Non-boot-filesystem kernel modules can be loaded in rc.conf instead of loader.conf. AMD Ryzen support is in the release and further work will be brought in as new Ryzen developments occur. There are some cpu-reported-topology issues that will be fixed and MFC'd. There are some stability issues currently waiting on an AMD microcode update to resolve/retest. Ryzen users can be assured that we are staying on top of it!

science or something...

" Then came a big monster of an ambulance which took me from Liverpool to Watertown and delivered me to a white-coated Army staff. A young nurse volunteered to make me comfortable with a glass of orange juice, to relieve my thirst, but at the bottom of the orange juice I saw an unmistakable layer of undissolved white crystalline solids. I wasn't going to be hoodwinked by a bunch of soldiers! The juice was obviously a sophisticated cover-up for the administration of some dramatic sedative or presurgical anesthetic which was expected to render me placid and unconcerned about the medical procedures they had planned for me. I resolved to prove my masculinity and control of the situation by simply denying the white crystals their power. I would drink the whole mixture down, but I would stay awake and alert. I would be wheeled into the surgical bay as an attentive sailor who would challenge the Army surgeons with analytical perception and penetrating questions which would reveal to them the integrity of my mental status. It didn't work. The drug that rested undissolved under my orange juice was undeniably a pretty effective drug, because I succumbed to it and went completely unconscious. I have no memory of the intravenous Pentothal anesthetic that was administered to me for my surgery. And I was later told of the unprecedented half-hour I required for recovery from it. The bone infection was surgically removed, and to this day my left thumb is almost a half-inch shorter than my right. .....Eventually I healed, and had to become reoriented to military reality, but in the mean- time I had learned a couple of facts. ....The second fact was not expected at all, and it was this that started me on my career as a psychopharmacologist. I was told that the white "drug" which was undissolved at the bottom of my orange juice glass, and which had finally plopped me over the line from being an alert and defensive surgery candidate to being a comatose subject available to any and all manipulation by the operating physician, was nothing but undissolved sugar. A fraction of a gram of sugar had rendered me unconscious, because I had truly believed that it could do just that. The power of a simple placebo to radically alter my state of consciousness impressed me deeply. The contribution of the mind to the observed action of a drug was certainly real, and I decided it was possible that this contribution was a major one. Over the intervening years, I have come to believe that the mind is the major factor in defining a psychoactive drug's action. One has been taught to assign the power of a drug to the drug itself, without considering the person into whom it goes. A drug by itself can be a powder, a spoonful of sugar, without any curative value whatsoever. But there is a personal reality of the recipient of the drug that plays a major role in the definition of the eventual interaction. Each of us has his own reality, and each of us will construct his own unique drug-person relationship. The shock of the juice led explore "
