Oregone State Republican senators: “Send bachelors, and come heavily armed” - CircUSA Clown World - HONK HONK - [PEACE]
by Zenaan Harkness 22 Jun '19

22 Jun '19

This be a rare day where one faction of representatives exercises their right to not even turn up to a vote insisted by the other faction of representatives, to avoid the existence of the minimum number of representatives voting, to stymie the vote. The Dems are intent on some incremental global one world government carbon tax regime, and the Repubs are oddly enough opposed. And then state troopers get "authorised" by the D's to arrest the R's, and at least one R says "send bachelors and come heavily armed" - exactly how willing to exercise such rights as the right to bear arms in the face of opposition to your right to not turn up to the senate for a vote ... as a senator ... is arguably a mildly rare event. Let's see who prevails in the land of the most mature, grounded and stable people - the USA. build confidence in your Western banking system - run mock stress tests every few months - [MONEY]

"Plunge protection teams", "stress tests", "liquidity phone calls", wash, rinse, repeat. Cross fingers and hope like crazy folks believe you when you say !!! EVERYTHING IS AWESOME !!! The greatest way to build confidence in your global banking system, like ever? https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-21/all-banks-pass-fed-stress-test-wo… All Banks Pass Fed Stress Test... Would Lose $410 Billion Having been told numerous times that banks "are in far better condition now than before the crisis," we should not be at all surprised that all major banks passed The Fed's "adverse scenario" stress test. As The FT reports, US banks would lose $410bn if there were another severe global recession, but would maintain enough capital to keep lending to companies and individuals, according to US regulators. Eighteen of the country’s largest banks all passed the first round of their annual stress tests on Friday, as Federal Reserve figures showed the US financial services industry is well-enough capitalised to weather a worst-case scenario economic downturn. Wondering how terrifying the adverse scenario is... well it is certainly a big drop BUT expectations that it will all be forgotten in a couple of years seems a little ambitious if we ever see these kind of collapses again... Randal Quarles, the vice-chairman of the Fed in charge of banking oversight, said on Friday: “The results confirm that our financial system remains resilient. The nation’s largest banks are significantly stronger than before the crisis and would be well-positioned to support the economy even after a severe shock.” So why did The Fed abandon its normalization of the balance sheet? As Bloomberg reports, results posted so far show banks are getting better at coping with what’s become one of the most rigorous supervisory efforts: They maintained a collective common equity Tier 1 ratio that was double the regulatory minimum even at the depths of the theoretical recession. Lenders have been building capital for years, and while this year’s exam was harsher on credit-card loans, trading losses were down from last year at four of the five biggest Wall Street firms. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley improved on last year’s poor results in the first round of the latest Federal Reserve stress tests, a sign they may have more flexibility to boost payouts to shareholders. ... [As long as interest rates stay at or literally below zero, tha banks cin cash up to the hills and thus be "strong in their ability to support the economy" - no real surprise when you can literally print as much money as you could ever want - so why bother with interest for anyone at all? Oh right, control - that's right, normal sheeple must be under the thumb...]

Kickstarter, premier SJWs defend us all against probematic "hateful" facts - [PEACE]

All the more reason for decentralised anonymous coinage... In Sweden, analysing the public rape and gang rape data is apparently a racist and possibly unlawful intention. Some facts are more hateful than others of course... Avalanche of Donations After Kickstarter Ban on Swedish 'Rape Book' https://sputniknews.com/europe/201801291061149927-sweden-rape-book-crowdfun… Kickstarter's ban against a crowdfunding attempt by a Swedish Conservative parliamentary candidate, who is writing a much-anticipated book about rape, has resulted in a torrent of direct donations greatly exceeding the initial goal. Last week, Ann Heberlein's Kickstarter project for her upcoming book "Rape and Culture — a Survey of Group Rape" had been closed down following numerous reports of "racism." Before the ban, Heberlein managed to attract a total of SEK 161,704 ($21,500), still far short of the target of SEK 400,000 ($51,000). … In October 2017, a private survey revealed immigrants' drastic overrepresentation in sexual assaults, with men of foreign descent allegedly committing over 90 percent of rapes. The 80-page investigation involved over 4,000 rulings from 40 Swedish courts between 2012 and 2014, which is before the migrant crisis of 2015. READ MORE: 'Politically Incorrect' Report on Rape-Prone Migrants Inflames Debate in Sweden The Swedish authorities said they intended to remain firm on retaining the taboo around disclosing the perpetrator's nationality, a practice they have followed in recent decades. Last time a survey was compiled on the percentage of crimes committed by the foreign-born was in 2005. Ever since, profiling by nationality or race has been considered unethical and offensive both within the police and the media. Sweden's Justice Minister Morgan Johansson argued that the common denominator for all the offenses in question is that the perpetrators were men, and it did not matter whether they were black or white. READ MORE: 'Men, Not Immigrants': Sweden Rules Out Mapping Rapists' Ethnicity Earlier in January, however, the Swedish government tasked the Crime Prevention Council (Brå) with researching the reasons behind the spike in rape cases (such as a 400 percent increase in Stockholm over the past two decades alone). As it is unclear how deep the government investigators are prepared delve into the matter, Heberlein's report is seen as an alternative. …

Bitcoin Billionaires: A True Story of Genius, Betrayal and Redemption infohash: 42E19B33DA9159E932278D1DF50AB77C50606FAC epub infohash: 0138A1C043C92A0FCED14131BAB0CFF6F5344464 mp3 Ben Mezrich’s 2009 best seller The Accidental Billionaires is the definitive account offounding - and the basis for the Academy Award-winning film The Social Network. Two of the story’s iconic characters are Harvard students Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss: identical twins, Olympic rowers, and legal foils to Mark Zuckerberg. Bitcoin Billionaires is the story of the brothers’ redemption and revenge in the wake of their epic legal battle with- and the first great audiobook from the world of bitcoin. Planning to start careers as venture capitalists, the brothers quickly discover that no one will take their money for fear of alienating Zuckerberg. While nursing their wounds in Ibiza, they accidentally run into a shady character who tells them about a brand-new idea: cryptocurrency. Immersing themselves in what is then an obscure and sometimes sinister world, they begin to realise ‘crypto’ is, in their own words, ‘either the next big thing or total bulls–t.’ There’s nothing left to do but make a bet. >From the Silk Road to the halls of the Securities and Exchange Commission to theboardroom, Bitcoin Billionaires will take us on a wild and surprising ride while illuminating a tantalising economic future. On November 26th, 2017, the Winklevoss brothers became the first bitcoin billionaires. Here’s the story of how they got there - as only Ben Mezrich could tell it.

Cryptocurrency: When? (ex: Privacy Coins, Why and How They Work)
by grarpamp 20 Jun '19

20 Jun '19

https://z.cash/technology/paramgen https://twitter.com/peterktodd/status/1052999647793504256 It's more the idea that coin privacy is important and required, the idea is more valuable than any past or current implementation, it is the idea that will survive to eventually reach deployment, brought forward by those who follow its requisite nature. Sure people will misapply, oldref, fail to upgrade their evals to current and future tech, bad journo, bash, troll and shill all sorts things and ideas as usual. That's to be expected in the Wild West. With old world adversaries many and powerful. Yet for those who follow new ideas to be playing there, sinking investments in and or falling to those games, is often just a lot of wasted resources, of which they have few early on, and these are still early times... best reallocate them to better use. Stupid coinwars, bitchfights, anything other than cypherpunk cryptocurrency tech application, eval, mashup, integration, and adoption... needs to stop. All things come from a true cryptocurrency, not the other way around, certainly not from all the Fiat-alikes out there. And all the centralized ICO token nonsense, coin scams, their shills... at best a somewhat helpful confusing blitz upon the real enemy, yet one with no particularly profound effect in the end, a weaksauce, yet another misallocation of resource. > bitcoin is getting some privacy upgrades. They had over 10 years to do that, you'll be lucky if BTC embeds strong privacy in the native protocol anytime within the next 10 years. By that time it may be too late. Even right now today would be precariously close to too late. The longer you wait, the longer you fail to come together to get things done, the more you have to rely soley on the magical properties of a true cypherpunk cryptocurrency to come dig you out and save your ass from the network effects of your past non-true coin deployments. That's incredibly risky proposition, and squanders the extremely rare oppurtunity to drop change and see truth in your lifetime. So much broken shitcoin, pointless token, and Fiat State Control Power Censor and selfish MyCoinFirst think out there in the space, so little cypherpunk cryptoanarchy being applied. > bitcoin is junk Bitcoin-BTC in its current state today, is not capable of meeting the needs of a global cypherpunk cryptocurrency. Major scaling, fee, txrate, decentral tx mining, and privacy issues including by not evolving beyond storage to an online UTXO db, going down tech development paths that are questionable as to proposed success, big corporate capture and freespeech debacles. And more you can list. As a regulated hardly usable gold maybe, but that's a pointless outcome. As a long term global cypherpunk cash for billions to use even once a week... not at current, not without utter laughing stock position reversal (such as raising blocksize, killing Lightning, etc), or a proper revolt or takeover. The question is not which are junk, 99% are. But which small set of tech and dedicated group of proponents acting globally, will make up the 5 or so coin that will win the real battle, in the true cypherpunk cryptoanarchy cryptocurrency way that is requisite to bring any real change to the world. Else just stick with Fiat. Then you've got the massive education effort of the entire space still todo on cypherpunk cryptoanarchy political economic... that education project got foolishly left behind in the stupid get rich first explosion and corruption. And got exploited by the "we have to be regulated and central" FUD propaganda. So that now many new people who see the light are afraid to speak, and old school visionaries have retired. That activism must return to the front lines. There's even possible todo on the right spin and partnering of your own to fake out the States and Statists giving you more time to drop change. There's also so much coin tech out there now as to make finding actual good candidates among them for an ideal cypherpunk cryptocurrency to be a major project in itself. Feel free to start such a project, create your criteria, and suggest your own finds. 10+ years, nearly an entire working generation gone by. But how many toward actual cryptoanarchy freedom for all... 3? How many stupidly invested waiting dancing around false hopium solutions, creating fakes for greed, etc... 6+? Yet there's still time... the entire space really needs to refocus, refactor, combine, and launch the real war to get it done :)

Cryptocurrency: zk-SNARK Privacy Coins, Why and How They Work
by grarpamp 20 Jun '19

20 Jun '19

https://z.cash/ https://z.cash/technology/ https://z.cash/upgrade/ https://arxiv.org/abs/1906.07221 Maksym Petkus (Jun 2019) Despite the existence of multiple great resources on zk-SNARK construction, from original papers to explainers, due to the sheer number of moving parts the subject remains a black box for many. While some pieces of the puzzle are given one can not see the full picture without the missing ones. Hence the focus of this work is to shed light onto the topic with a straightforward and clean approach based on examples and answering many whys along the way so that more individuals can appreciate the state of the art technology, its innovators and ultimately the beauty of math. Paper's contribution is a simplistic exposition with a sufficient and gradually increasing level of complexity, necessary to understand zk-SNARK without any prerequisite knowledge of the subject, cryptography or advanced math. The primary goal is not only to explain how it works but why it works and how it came to be this way.
