IQNets - low b/w end user nodes - maximise 'user experience'
by Zenaan Harkness 09 May '20

09 May '20

End user nodes which have low or relatively low total bandwidth BW, Node End-user Low Bandwidth => NELB might usefully provide only small or "marginal" b/w links, and link contracts with reduced time T. Where the end user 'experience' arising from his available b/w is already reduced/low/frustrating, any overlay which treats that end user as anything but an "mostly end user only" node, will likely be switched off/ disabled/ uninstalled, by said end user. So for a "compelling user experience", at least with NELBs, by default we ought limit both time duration T and bandwidth BW, for all link contracts handed out to incoming requests. Low T means "problematic" (from end user experience point of view) link contracts will time out "relatively soon". Low BW, as a percentage of total NELB BW, should minimize "obtrusive slowdowns due to the overlay net", again, from the end user perspective. Some aggregate numbers of global Internet users, e.g. "how many Internet users, globally, onramp at X kbps b/w?" Presumably there are still millions who have sub 256kbps? In any case, with the limit case, at least for certain groups of users, being groups of such low b/w links, a useful overlay net must usefully use "many micro connections". We can at some point test and establish useful minimum T and minimum BW for T. To optimize for such lithe links (rather, link contracts), we need to minimize "overlay network switch contract nego" latency. So various previously listed concepts are essential at the core of the overlay net - seamless utilization of many "micro" links, link aggregation, seamless handling of links that drop out, possibly fan-out (single high BW to many low BW) and fan-in hops, etc.

When we fail to vet those we allow into Australia - hate crimes against White Aussies - [PEACE]
by Zig the N.g 09 May '20

09 May '20

How do we bring peace to our countries and neighbourhoods - it's an ongoing question, and one which suggests that on a global level, different people or at least those of different religious persuasions, live different ethics, and mixing such differing "cultures" often enough results in murder, as we see here, with the police calling multiple murders a "home invasion". VICTORIA: Violent Home Invasion leaves TWO DEAD https://concit.org/victoria-violent-home-invasion-leaves-two-dead/ http://www.protectvictoria.org/youth-gang-home-invasion-victorian-style/ It may not be too late to protect our "Aussie culture" - those who live here and value the Aussie's relaxed, open and larrikin nature, would do well to contemplate on ways to protect this and uphold publicly our right to protect our culture. It is not only the "culture of minorities" that needs protecting.

PSR/panel self refresh + partial-frame updates + DP2 'standard' = arduino driven 16k :)
by Zenaan Harkness 09 May '20

09 May '20

So here's a looming God-tier level up for an aspiring legend in the making: Checking out the "iCEBreaker FPGA" arduino-class board via Crowd Supply (below) and in particular the HDMI Output Mod: "The iCE40UP5k FPGA on the iCEBreaker is fast enough to output 720p video! Based on the amazing Pmod design by Kevin Hubbard from Black Mesa Labs, we developed a new HDMI Pmod." we can't help thinking of our precious, precious resolution! Yes my precious screen real estate, yesssss :) In particular eDP (embedded display port) includes Panel Self Refresh (PSR), and eDP version 1.4 includes "it reduces power consumption through partial-frame updates in PSR mode": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#eDP there is absolutely no reason we cannot have arduinos and iCEBreakers powering 16k panels FTFW. Yeah baby! One immediate and oh-so-satisfying use for such a setup is a "mega universal performance status monitor", where a large 8k or 16k display monitors 1000s of mini graphs and stats for your cluster/ VMs/ disk arrays/ networks phys and virt, VLC aural density fourier, CPUs, memory etc etc. If your little computer board can only physically transmit say 49% of the pixels on the display in one second, then a full refresh of all monitored perf stats would take -exactly- 2 seconds; and more the point, a nice tiled/staggered/cycling update effect would be observed over each 2s period, with each subset of updates transmitted at the pace the little board can handle (then 'immediately' displayed by the "PSR + partial-frame update" panel) before the next block of updates is transmitted. AND, even in any low resolution such as 'merely' 4k, FullHD or lower, using PSR + "partial-frame updates" is an ideal solution for public signage, text based UIs (TUI), and of course the "mega universal status monitor" above, and where additionally, power use is reduced to an absolute minimum (scenario dependent) where updates are very rare - e.g. public signage where an update or transition might occur only every 10s. Trump opens to Russia: "We’re the most powerful nation, they’re a very powerful nation. Why would we not be dealing with each other?" - [PEACE]

For the first time in his USA presidency, and in the wake of the Schiff hitting the fan, Donald Trump is finally permitted to open dialog (and improve bilateral relations) with Russia and Vladimir Putin. Trump Says Told Putin [it is now] 'Appropriate Time' to Improve US-Russia Relations https://sputniknews.com/us/202005071079235533-trump-says-told-putin-appropr… .. "They’re a very important nation. We’re the most powerful nation, they’re a very powerful nation. Why would we not be dealing with each other? But the Russia hoax is absolute dishonest hoax, made it very difficult for our nation and their nation to deal and we discussed that. I said it's a very appropriate time because things are falling out now and coming in line showing what a hoax this whole investigation was," Trump told reporters at the White House. Trump was referring to the latest development related to the Russia probe. Earlier on Thursday, the US Justice Department announced it was dropping criminal charges against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. ...

I'm trying to figure this out. Am I in a hospital bed for trying to talk about sex trafficking and many other things? Or is reality the one I see around me, where when you can escape something bad, like an nsa trojan network for influencing behavior, you can find people to help you everywhere you go? Hi everyone, Just touching base with the cypherpunk lists. Indeed I am quite frustrated with the list, but who cares, I think this project deserves interest (like many other out there this is true), but at least I'd like to say I am alive and still evolving the project. Last time I surfaced I was anpha-11, now I am compiling alpha-22; it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock'n roll. I've post this in reddit, calling for alpha testers. https://www.reddit.com/r/US_Public_System/comments/gev3g7/looking_for_alpha… If you know about crypto and have explorer soul and you're so kind, please help me constructively to make this tech mainstream. It could pay off. On other matters, how are you doing?, anyway, Thanks for your feedback, no matter negative or positive. Best wishes and regards, -- Other Arkitech Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com) Secure Email.
