I don't know much about blackhat communities, but there was a time when malicious digital behavior was held with value online. Before things like banking happened on the internet. I think I've read like one of these in my life, but I didn't think critically of them or anything. Mostly unsubscription requests from a mailman 2.1 list. I have a mental disability and the mailbombing is confusing and taxing to me. Is there any configuration option I can ask the list administrator to enable, to require my password to be provided before the confirmations are sent to me? If this configuration option does not exist yet, could anybody advise what sourcefiles would need modification so as to contribute it as a feature addition? Thanks a bunch, Karl Semich

IBM’s 3D chip stacking process could revive a famous rule on computing power https://share.newsbreak.com/1epjejbm IBM Research and Tokyo Electron (TEL) collaborated on a new breakthrough in 3D chipmaking that uses a novel method to keep Moore's Law in motion. The two companies partnered on a chipmaking innovation that simplifies the process for producing wafers with 3D chip stacking technology, a press statement reveals. They announced that they successfully implemented the new process for producing 300 mm silicon chip wafers for 3D chip stacking technology. It is the world's first 300 mm level example of this technology.New chip-stacking process uses laser invisible to silicon Chip stacking typically requires vertical connections between layers of silicon, called through-silicon vias (TSVs). The layers are usually extremely thin, having a thickness of less than 100 microns. During the production process, each of these wafers is attached to a carrier wafer, which is usually made of glass that is temporarily bonded to the silicon. Once the wafer is processed, the glass carrier is then removed from the silicon with the use of ultraviolet lasers. IBM and TEL's new process uses a 300 mm module with an infrared laser that carries out a debonding process. This process is transparent to silicon, meaning it allows standard silicon wafers to be used instead of glass wafers for the carrier. This means that silicon wafers can be bonded to other pieces of silicon, meaning glass carriers are no longer necessary in the manufacturing process.

Civil rights and media groups opposed the measure that Republican Gov. Doug Ducey signed Thursday. The law makes it illegal in Arizona to knowingly video police officers 8 feet (2.5 meters) or closer without an officer’s permission.Someone on private property with the owner’s consent can also be ordered to stop recording if a police officer finds they are interfering or the area is not safe. The penalty is a misdemeanor that would likely incur a fine without jail time. There needs to be a law that protects officers from people who “either have very poor judgment or sinister motives,” said Republican Rep. John Kavanagh, the bill’s sponsor. “I’m pleased that a very reasonable law that promotes the safety of police officers and those involved in police stops and bystanders has been signed into law,” Kavanagh said Friday. “It promotes everybody’s safety yet still allows people to reasonably videotape police activity as is their right.” The move comes nearly a year after the U.S. Department of Justice launched a widespread probe into the police force in Phoenix to examine whether officers have been using excessive force and abusing people experiencing homelessness. It’s similar to other investigations opened in recent months in Minneapolis and Louisville.

a couple nights ago, i woke up and the ipad near me, which was still in airplane mode, had a webpage open that i had no memory of opening nor interest in. last night and today, a 12v power supply i have keeps running its fan. the only thing plugged into it is a usb hub and a device charger with nothing conencted to the device charger. the usb hub has an rtl-sdr connected to it, and a disconnected micro usb cable. the usb hub is connected to this laptop. i unplugged power from the usb hub, and the fan on the power supply stopped running. the rtl sdr is a little bit warm, but not as warm as i believe they get when running constantly at high rate. oops: the usb hub is actually connected tyo a raspberry pi that is on with no keyboard plugged in, not this laptop. its attached lcd shows some usb errors regarding 1-1.3 and 1-1.1-port1 after the power cut.
