However, once you start digging into them, you can break the math apart into smaller steps, and get a feel of what goes into encryption being the modern-day magic we take for granted. Today, [Henry Schmale] writes to us about his small contribution to making cryptography easier to understand – lifting the veil on the RSA asymmetric encryption technique through an RSA calculator. With [Henry]’s calculator, you can only encrypt and decrypt a single integer, but you’re able to view each individual step of an RSA calculation as you do so. If you want to understand what makes RSA and other similar algorithms tick, this site is an excellent starting point. Now, this is not something you should use when roll your crypto implementations – as cryptographers say in unison, writing your own crypto from scratch is extremely inadvisable. [Henry] does say that this calculator could be useful for CTF players, for instance, but it’s also undeniably an accessible learning tool for any hacker out there wishing to understand what goes on under the wraps of the libraries we use. In modern day, cryptography is instrumental to protecting our freedoms, and it’s a joy to see people work towards explaining the algorithms used. The cryptography tools we use day-to-day are also highly valuable targets for governments and intelligence agencies, willing to go to great lengths to subvert our communication security – so it’s even more important that we get acquianted with the tools that protect us. After all, it only takes a piece of paper to encrypt your communications with someone.

The instructions to block authorities from accessing its IT systems were part of a sophisticated global operation by the Silicon Valley company to thwart law enforcement. The Uber files, a cache of confidential company data leaked to the Guardian, reveal how the company deployed its kill switch at least 12 times in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, India, Hungary and Romania. The Uber files is a global investigation based on a trove of 124,000 documents that were leaked to the Guardian. The data consist of emails, iMessages and WhatsApp exchanges between the Silicon Valley giant's most senior executives, as well as memos, presentations, notebooks, briefing papers and invoices. The leaked records cover 40 countries and span 2013 to 2017, the period in which Uber was aggressively expanding across the world. They reveal how the company broke the law, duped police and regulators, exploited violence against drivers and secretly lobbied governments across the world. To facilitate a global investigation in the public interest, the Guardian shared the data with 180 journalists in 29 countries via the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The investigation was managed and led by the Guardian with the ICIJ. In a statement , Uber said: "We have not and will not make excuses for past behaviour that is clearly not in line with our present values. Instead, we ask the public to judge us by what we’ve done over the last five years and what we will do in the years to come."

The worlds most powerful govt was stronger in 2003 than it is now. But it didn't take action against APster being used against it then - APster without anonymity & electronic cash - and then being used against it every year since ( " Kill the president " year in, year out for Shrub, Bambi, Dumbfuck and Biden ) That's my test-pattern. Its all on disc. We won the crypto wars, remember! Of course its only prudent to utilize anonymity in many places still ( KGB Russia, Marxist DPRK, etc ) And here - once again - we have list members with empirical knowledge in that area. Gramps, Skunk and Semich remain anonymized to this day. This list is the great, the almost omnipotent teacher. Those three may never be doxxed. Now there may be some power disparities opening up - especially in the Russia and red-fascist China regions - but don't forget we also have crypto-currencies since 2008, more people online all the time and more reinforcements are expected. ( Q-crypto and strong AI ) The real power trend is very since 2005 - why its ' the Internet Century ' and not ' the American century '. Nothings going to stop us now. Our ' Killer App ' is just one viral tweet away. But youse knew all that. Didn't youse?

People must think APster will add to an already violent world. This is a logical fallacy that doesn't take into account all the violent people APster will eliminate on day one. A similar fallacy appears to be at work with Btc. Clearly it uses a lot of energy. But its a logical fallacy to highlight that at the expense of potentially huge savings with the elimination of so much expensive ( and energy intensive ) banking security. TL/DR cryptoanarchy will minimize violence of all kinds and save the planet from runaway greenhouse. We have a good news story to sell, sorry, tell. Thank youse for listening.

I think I've read like one of these in my life, but I didn't think critically of them or anything.
