Protesters corner police into garage
by professor rat 21 Nov '21

21 Nov '21

Righteous protesters were trailed by cops as they made their way through the neighborhood, many decked out in all-black with their faces covered, in the style of “Black Bloc” anarchists known for covering their faces and wearing all black to destroy property, according to police sources. They allegedly tossed garbage cans at cops, ripped American and “Blue Lives Matters” flags from homes, damaged mailboxes and cars https://news.google.com/stories/CAAqNggKIjBDQklTSGpvSmMzUnZjbmt0TXpZd1NoRUt…

That’s why we must continue to deftly message the Web 3.0 narrative to help both developers and everyday users understand the value of Web 3.0 https://cointelegraph.com/news/the-three-traits-of-web-3-0-that-fix-what-we… Of course, nothing is perfect. Web 3.0 will still struggle with some of the moderation issues faced by other major platforms. Critics of decentralized platforms say that the lack of a centralized authority will make moderation even more difficult.

Human & civil rights violated in Kenosha
by professor rat 20 Nov '21

20 Nov '21

The victims inalienable human rights were violated by being shot dead and maimed so federal intervention is warranted where state law proves insufficient. The three victims rights were also violated by the judges crude bias towards the perpetrator of deadly violence in Kenosha. Several brazen examples. Justice must not only be done here - it must be seen to be done in the eyes of the world. Global opinion counts for more everyday and USA opinion counts for less. Welcome to the revolution.

Jerry Nadlers calling on the DOJ to review Rittenhouse shootings for federal charges.

Apart from that there's clear grounds for appeal based on judicial bias - several examples. Money could be raised for appeal via DAO - hey - if you like the ' due process ' parts of the US constitution you might get some skin-in-the-game. No justice - NO PEACE! - no shit.

The human brain doesn’t reach full maturity until about age 25.

This helped my argument to parole Jeff Luers who'd received a cruel and unusual punishment for burning some SUV's. But bounty-law still applies to guys like Rittenhouse who appears to have been brainwashed by the like of Rupert Murdoch and Grarpamps. He's got a target on his back till the day he dies. Just as they do.

Wisconsin’s law re adult prosecutions of juveniles a legacy 1990s panic over “superpredators”
by professor rat 20 Nov '21

Wisconsin’s law mandating adult prosecutions of juveniles is a legacy of the 1990s panic over “superpredators”—the allegedly cold-blooded, conscienceless, and often Black kids who would supposedly kill for sport, without remorse, who criminologists warned were about to overwhelm the country. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2021/11/kyle-rittenhouse-was-a-minor-p…

theory idea, all guesses: - a bunch of ais have been acting on society in ways that are similar to "reinforcement learning" algorithms, for a number of years now - what people do, is slowly trending towards what people who run social ais, want people to do. - the people running these ais disagree on what they want people to do - "reinforcement learning" algorithms tend to find things that work to meet their goals, and reuse them. so your situation differs depending on what it is that different ais think you are useful for or harmful for, and how much. and each one of them may have a category for you. - ideally, we would figure out how these people can meet their goals without harming everyone else's goals, and get that really normal and powerful so everything can make sense again. but i prefer preservation of information, which i have been unable to do. maybe nearby is the idea of yannic kilcher's youtube channel, which enumerates thousands of reasons why an untethered system that searches for avenues to sustain a state will destroy the world as we know it. yannic kilcher works for openai which has closed their research (but released public access to their api yesterday). i do not agree with his youtube channel, but his conclusion is clearly true when ais are run for either power or money. i imagine it is hard to come up with a computer system that can meet any goal without harming any other goals, without having it engage with its user around the underlying reasons for the goals, not really sure, kinda seems important to relate with users anyway when making intense changes happen. --- making things happen without harming others is basic mediation. humans do things for reasons, and they fight to the death for those reasons, and they are very simple and normal reasons that they all share. but with digital marketing being such a huge and growing thing, it seems like human behavior is the biggest and most direct issue, which is very interesting because understanding human behavior, means also understanding the reasons that somebody would want to direct or manipulate human behavior. convincing a culture of people to buy only your product is analogous to convincing you to stop making the product: it's an arbitrary goal, that a human being can be convinced of. in the end, we do what we do for reasons that relate to our lives, and in the end, it is these reasons that matter: not what products or politics we sell or purchase. so the human genome is playing itself out amongst technology and marketing as it has for some time. the stage is laid out by who came first, what they did, how powerful it was, in what ways, etc etc. and the history record of this will be very strong, since the scale is so large, and doesn't look amazing for anybody. so as a victim of ai marketing, one wonders, what reasons drive the marketing teams that direct us? how many people can we squeeze into a shareholder meeting, or a political cabinet? dunno. aiwoo.

The Rise of Technosocialism
by professor rat 20 Nov '21

“The Rise of Technosocialism.” Does new money technology allow us to get away from some of the core tenets of contemporary capitalism to provide things like Universal Basic Income? Or, do we run the risk of undermining the notion of private property and ownership, feeding some of the more radical, decentralizing principles of the crypto movement? Next silly question . . . https://www.coindesk.com/podcasts/coindesks-money-reimagined/new-money-and-… Crypto-currency, ideological fads have gone from Medieval Citadels in cyberspace to NFT’s of the infamous US slave-owners parchment. You know what this means? There could be a determined effort made to research William Godwin! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Godwin Watching Zuckface and the Winklevi make billions online makes me wonder if some obscure power law is at work here - like cryptoanarchy will always choose the absolutely slowest fucking path forward. Its like an inverse-square-law of some kind. Amirite?

" . . . Klin testified that Wright was a classic “person with autism and high intellect.” Such people may be proficient with languages and obsess over certain topics and facts. They may “speak sometimes with supreme confidence,” Klin said. Thus, their words may come across as disrespectful. They often do not pick up on sarcasm, metaphor or humor, nor do they realize they are being judged in social settings. Klin said Wright has had “very few friends because not many people share his interests.” This is something very characteristic of people with autism, he said. “Dr Wright has a lifelong pattern of becoming obsessed about specific areas of interest as a coping style.” Growing up, conversations could be “very one-sided. He ended up alienating his peers and he was mercilessly bullied, ridiculed and ostracized.” https://www.coindesk.com/business/2021/11/20/kleiman-v-wright-defenses-auti… Sounds like our Cluckin' Bell
