In either case, it is unfit to exist." - Lysander Spooner Lysander Spooner was a 19th century entreprenuer, scholar, radical abolitionist, and principled believer in natural law and liberty. Lysander Spooner came form the flinty farmland of rural New England. He was born January 19, 1808, on his father's farm near Athol, Massachusetts, the second child and second son in a family of six sons and three daughters. Before opening the American Mail Company, he sent a personal letter informing the Postmaster General (January 11, 1844), that he proposed "soon to establish a letter mail [company] from Boston to Baltimore. I shall myself remain in this city, where I shall be ready at any time to answer to any suit…" Accompanying the letter was a copy of Spooner's pamphlet, The Unconstitutionality of the Laws of Congress Prohibiting Private Mails. When his company began business on January 23, Spooner openly advertised in all the major newspapers, soliciting business. The American Letter Mail Company printed its own stamps, hired agents, and was soon conducting a busy trade. Hoping to drive Spooner out of business without raising any constitutional questions, the Postmaster General resorted to some extra-legal measures. Under a barrage of harassing legal actions, the company could not survive; for all practical purposes it had ceased to exist by July 1844. After his post office venture failed, Lysander Spooner returned to the family farm in Athol. Spooner had a clear notion of "the principles of natural equity." Although lacking formal ties before 1870 with other American anarchists, Spooner knew many of them well. The key question for an anarchist is how to combine complete individual freedom with some form of effective social co-operation. Spooner answered that community service and other social action could be realized voluntarily. He argued that "under the principle of individual consent, the little government that mankind need, is not only practicable, but natural and easy…" Spooner died “at one o'clock in the afternoon of Saturday, May 14, 1887... surrounded by trunks and chests bursting with the books, manuscripts, and pamphlets which he had gathered in his active pamphleteer's warfare over half a century long.

digital everything (media) library - MAME 211, merge v. split packs - TODO

The personal digital library is yet to be handled. We have ebook collections, torrents of books, vids, musak (strictly the crappy elevator musak only of course), and software such as MAME/ MESS rom sets etc. Torrents are gettin a little prehistoric. The discerning hoarder needs (in that fundamental, life sustaining kinda need way) something a little more steam age, something tied to a modern VCS. One's personal library, given today's "barely enough" storage ratios, is inevitably spread across drives, sticks and internal storage. As muh collection grows, the most sane directory hierarchy changes: when storing say a dozen movies, a few audio CDs and a hanful of books, one directory per library item seems eminently reasonable, although the discerning librarian probably puts these 20 or so items into a "library" directory. As that grows, one leaps to the space age idea (almost an original concept when the neophyte first thinks of it) to categorize one's library into media types, and so under library/ come movies/, books/, musak/ and software/, leaving said neofight stunned at the awesome power of computers and the wonderous organizing power of his own mind. Soon enough, a few audio CDs turns into a few hundred, with many from this almost universal site call GewTube, and so some of the music is more like video, some of the video more like music, and movies, documentaries, tv series and home videos all evidently need new and new sub, categories. One "small library" man's "awesome categorization" inevitably ends up baroque or perhaps gothic, and forever needing re-organization. Then the wonder of symlinks rears its deceptive head as the next silver bullet, Debian's alphabetical directory layer divides the dirs such that the large one's become "hopefully not too large", per LANG/ dirs make an appearance, DEWEY looks reasonable and BIBLIO is perhaps useful, and before you know it, there are a dozen different half-updated sets of media dirs, intermixed with various layers of {a-z}s/, LANGs/, incomings/, to-sorts/ and the original plain old categories/, none ever complete or finalized. Then MAME appears evidently time consumptive to stay up to date, but git could and would provide a much more eminently reasonable versioning and distribution system, if only there were a proper integration with git, rom set bundles, and torrents, with stable "reproducible build" like git packs to be distributed Debian package distribution/ mirror style or plain old torrents. Then we want (anonymous) requests, so those who archive offline can bring online occasionally when a request or three appears on the anonywebs for some old yet timeless niche trainspotting number. Default dark for semi literate sanity, avoiding 12 yo "muh Brittany" arrest spectacles … Yes we are handling a lot of complexity, but we have a lot of hero tier level ups to achieve yet... The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the entire dehumanizing, demoralizing mass body cavity strip search—orchestrated not for security purposes but as an exercise in humiliation—was legal. In our present carceral state, there is no difference between the treatment meted out to a law-abiding citizen and a convicted felon: both are equally suspect and treated as criminals, without any of the special rights and privileges reserved for the governing elite. Does this seem like a logical course of action?

Woman commits numerous crimes, and certainly numerous acts which are an offense against society. Woman is later threatened with perjury, takes immunity, names a man, makes slanderous allegations against him, and is exonerated (???). US government investigators later go on to decide the best action, is to mount an investigation against that single man, devote millions of dollars of resources just to monitor him. Most evident motivation is to put pressure against the guy so that he may crack and do ... (???) to accomplish (???). Unclear if man is framed or somehow condoned the allegations against himself, although the latter is totally illogical? Years pass, the investigation continues, they continue efforts, and insinuate the allegations against him (when they are self-evidently false). They also begin “flexing”, showing off that law enforcement interfaces have non-public features to (???) to accomplish (???). Government admits to nothing. Situation reaches extreme ludicrousness. Somehow the investigation into this one man, that has accomplished nothing, that is unlikely to yield anything, who never met the woman in question, is prioritized over everything else, for no other reason than this is the only possible investigation that they could devote so much resources to over so long to dedicate to one person.
