Classic Lefty propaganda parades itself for our analytical pleasure :) Liberal Lefty propaganda hit squad mug shots, exposing themselves in all their factless feely fuhrenlugenlumpenessenen inglory: - "the infamous memo" is only ever alluded to, never quoted quoting the source would of course despose the lie exposed in reposing factual prose - clever rhetoric effectively disguising the lack of any critical/constructive analysis of the memo itself whatsoever, and thereby short ciruiting all rational, critical debate e.g.: "You've read the memo, right?" - feelings are the only significant things, and all feelings are facts, and the world must revolve around feelings, e.g.: "Yesterday the women in the Ads group got together ... listening session ... and it's hard to not feel like that's an attack on you personally" and more tear jerkingly beautiful morono propo ganda: "Steve Kovach: Why did you want to talk to me? Lauren: Mainly because I felt like no one was asking the women of Google how they felt" And the joy turns ecstatic as we realise that, instead of actually responding to any (as in ANY) of the claims made by Damore in his 10-page memo (plenty of quotable material in that 10 pages too), this Lauren woman then goes on to -complain- that: "What about all the women? ... no one is asking us to respond to the claims that he made about us" - classic faux empathy/ pretend group-alignment e.g.: “Look, I’m a conservative. Radiohead hides ZX Spectrum proggie in OK Computer re-release Unclear if code was first mistaken for avant garde instrumental By Simon Sharwood, APAC Editor 17 Jul 2017 at 07:27 Rock deities Radiohead have snuck a program for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum into a re-release of their seminal 1997 album “OK Computer”. Dubbed “OKNOTOK”, the re-release can be had as £100/US$130/€120 boxed edition that includes three vinyl records, books galore and “a C90 cassette mix tape compiled by us, taken from OK COMPUTER session archives and demo tapes.” The Spectrum app resides – natch – on the C90 cassette, as that medium was the dominant way of storing Speccy programs and data. Accounts of the cassette's track list suggest it opens with a track named “Zx sprectrum symphony” but that the application is listed as “Ok Computer Program” and is the last track on side B. Buyers quickly identified the track as sounding just like a Spectrum program's distinctive series of beeps and clicks. Before long clever folk had ripped the audio and fed it to Spectrum Emulators, producing the results below. Those efforts appeared at a time the Spectrum was prevalent and popular. Radiohead's release has proven an education to many, but no surprise to fans who know well that track five on OK Computer, “Let Down”, featured sounds produced using a Spectrum. Radiohead guitarist/keyboardist Jonny Greenwood made those sounds as he is known to have learned to program the machine.

Arguments on parallel construction not convincing

I've previously written about there was only a 40% chance OJ killed his ex-wife and Goldman. I've also written about how the arguments on the Clipper chip wasn't convincing. It also leads to arguments about how arguments on parallel construction is not convincing, those arguments pretty much boil down to the government is being suspiciously secretive and illegally dishonest. I found the arguments on parallel construction to be more convincing than the Clipper chip though, but upon further thought, I'm not longer convinced by current arguments against parallel construction. The defendant still committed the crime (ignoring selective enforcement), it is just that classified information is used as hints to find a different set of evidence. They were proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, a very high bar to meet. Or is it a very high bar to meet? The ACLU, the great absolutionists of our time, insist on no death penalty. Because based on the number of people who were exonerated before ever being executed should have instead been sentenced to life imprisonment, who if exonerated, would still be released? Well ignoring that, there is an alarming number of people convicted beyond a reasonable doubt. Based on some circumstantial evidence here, prior relationship there, lack of alibi, and having the same blood type (although thanks to CSI, more exacting and numerous tests are demanded now), and you have a pretty convincing story (which is all it takes). Obviously the proper argument is to find that all murderers were incorrectly convicted and should be retried under stricter procedures. Everyone bemoans that Matthew Keys was convicted by... a jury. We have fallen far, far, below our desired standard for "... ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer". My argument about parallel construction is different, the defendants should have access to classified information to prove their innocence if there is a large scale program by the government to prove guilt using classified information. It could give an edge to the defendant to find that one pattern or one bit of evidence that would throw doubt onto the prosecution's case. Because the defendant is not presumed innocent. If there is no doubt as to the prosecution's case, the jury will convict, do not delude yourself otherwise. It's funny how the status quo stays the same when it benefits the government, but suddenly we have a FISA Amendment or a Patriot Act otherwise?
