National Conservation Commission: USA's oil supply "will be entirely used within 25 or 30 years" at present rates
by Zenaan Harkness 17 Oct '19

17 Oct '19
"an alarming report that the national supply of oil will be entirely used by within just 25 or 30 years more at the rate that the country is currently burning through the precious and decidedly finite fuel source" The Cheapest Oil Ever Sold https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/cheapest-oil-ever-sold https://oilprice.com/Energy/Oil-Prices/The-Cheapest-Oil-Ever-Sold.html An elite government-appointed group called the National Conservation Commission is charged with taking a comprehensive inventory of natural resources in the United States and discover where resources are being inefficiently handled and even squandered. They come back to the United States Congress with an alarming report that the national supply of oil will be entirely used by within just 25 or 30 years more at the rate that the country is currently burning through the precious and decidedly finite fuel source. The year is 1909. [That said, oil alarmists are still going strong today. ... lots of interesting history tidbits in article.]

This has resulted in leads sent to 38 countries and yielded arrests of 337 subjects around the world. The operation has resulted in searches of residences and businesses of approximately 92 individuals in the United States. Notably, the operation is responsible for the rescue of at least 23 minor victims residing in the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom, who were being actively abused by the users of the site."

" About cypherpunks mailing lists ------------------------------- I. Administrivia (please read, boring though it may be) The cypherpunks list is one of three lists discussing cryptography, privacy, and social issues relating to them. The three lists are: cypherpunks moderated to suppress spam and flames cypherpunks-unedited all submissions, just as they arrived cypherpunks-flames the submissions that didn't pass moderation All of these lists are high-volume mailing lists. Most people will not want to subscribe to more than one of these lists. (If you aren't sure, you can find out which list(s) you are on by sending a message containing just the word which to majordomo(a)toad.com.) The cypherpunks-unedited list has the highest volume and is also the quickest to spread news. The cypherpunks list incurs a moderation delay, but its signal-to-noise should be quite a bit higher. The cypherpunks- flames list is only for masochists. If you don't know how to do something, like unsubscribe, send mail to majordomo(a)toad.com and the software robot which answers that address will send you back instructions on how to do what you want. If you don't know the majordomo syntax, an empty message to this address will get you a help file, as will a command 'help' in the body. Even with all this automated help, you may still encounter problems. If you get really stuck, please feel free to contact me directly at the address I use for mailing list management: cypherpunks-owner(a)toad.com Please use this address for all mailing list management issues. Hint: if you try to unsubscribe yourself from a different account than you signed up for, it likely won't work. Log back into your old account and try again. If you no longer have access to that account, mail me at the list management address above. Also, please realize that there will be some cypherpunks messages "in transit" to you at the time you unsubscribe. "Attention: Starting December 14, 2019 Yahoo Groups will no longer host user created content on its sites." Smygo info... " https://www.facebook.com/groups/617024874990524/ Said Smygo, the iconoclast of Zothique: "Bear a hammer with thee always, and break down any terminus on which is written: 'So far shalt thou pass but no farther go.'" --Clark Ashton Smith The list's primary focus is anarchism & libertarianism. It carries announcements & communiques from anarchists & related groups & individuals, essays & articles of interest to anarchists, & stories from mainstream news media that mention anarchists or other topics of interest. As anarchism opposes hierarchy and all forms of illegitimate authority, the list may also include items on a wide variety of related subjects. These may include corporations, globalization, human rights, environment, marginals milieu, fair trade movement, & all kinds of progressive activism. This is an announcement group, not discussion group. But anyone may post appropriate articles, responses that add significant facts, make challenges to the accuracy of posted articles, etc. Another group, Hale_Bobb, welcomes discussions of Smygo posts. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Hale_Bobb/info This Yahoo group does not exist. Re: Snowden on CryptoPrivacy re US-UK-AUS Facebook Crypto Slapdown
by John Young 16 Oct '19

16 Oct '19
Those most avid about crypto benefits seem to know the least about how it works. Comsec experts (!) continue to exclaim about this although quite willing to reap the rewards, hardly able to believe their good luck of finding mathematics to be a fracking success. NSA and corporations are avid about their capabilities to combat threats so long as funds increase. It is this which confirms Snowden's advocacy: none of these security and privacy fans and industry want threats to diminish.
