[MERRY CHRISTMAS] - Revengeful wife - [PEACE]

Merry Christmas yo! May your new year be a healthy one with abundant opportunities to find that which yer Souls seek for ya mangey selves :D Me? I might be right on the edge o' perfection - just about to live for eternity in peace and divine serenity. Or something ;) Life's tough at the cutting edge of "perfectly humble" - which reminds me, gotta tee up anuddah of my humility workshops for the Dalai Llama to attend - I hear he's eager to really learn some true humility. Ya know, just as well there's someone as ego-less as me to run them... ----- Forwarded message from Gil May <gilmay97(a)gmail.com> ----- From: Gil May <gilmay97(a)gmail.com> Date: Sat, 21 Dec 2019 19:53:59 +1000 Subject: Fwd: A funny... A woman, cranky because her husband was late coming home again, decided to leave a note, saying "I've had enough and have left you...don't bother coming after me" Then she hid under the bed to see his reaction. After a short while the husband comes home and she could hear him in the kitchen before he comes into the bedroom. She could see him walk towards the dresser and pick up the note... After a few minutes he wrote something on it before picking up the phone and calling someone... "She's finally gone...yeah I know, about bloody time, I'm coming to see you, put on that sexy french nightie. I love you...can't wait to see you...we'll do all the naughty things you like." He hung up, grabbed his keys and left. She heard the car drive off as she came out from under the bed. Seething with rage and with tears in her eyes she grabbed the note to see what he wrote... "I can see your feet. We're outta bread: be back in five minutes."

Chelsea Manning attempts to destroy 'grand jury' system using their actions as wrecking ball!

We have too many damn laws. Mandatory reporting laws are best written as extension to the old misprision laws. Banning terrorism already exists as treason against state governments, murder, and violence are already crimes. I don't see how all these laws serve to protect anyone.

Re: California Penal Code 12355 - importance of reputation in fully decentralized networks

Furthermore, it only cost you $10 to learn that the guy isn't trustable. way back when, i wrote a decentralized resource discovery protocol. key to this design was the concept of reputation among peers, and peer discovery weighted by reputation. providing communication was a lightweight UDP protocol that could support tens of thousands of concurrent connections with minimal memory overhead and a single UDP socket. by building peer reputation directly among a very large peer group, you developed a deep basis for ranking peers useful to you in the past, and likely to be useful in the future. likewise, the useful peers of my useful peers are likely to be useful to me, and thus the recommendation engine proceeds... rich reputation in decentralized networks is still a poorly explored space. this should change! :) best regards,

Re: NYT: Total Surveillance Is Not What America Signed Up For

The pinnacle of Jeffersonian democracy is when every man aspires to commit treason. His Empire of Liberty idea was not so great. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.

NYT: Total Surveillance Is Not What America Signed Up For

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/12/21/opinion/location-data-privac… Grim, omits NYT's and journalism's large benefits of smart devices spying by advertisers. And avoids spying corps generous support of NGOs and political office holders. Doesn't touch smart cities, kiosks, cryptographers, and fora like cypherpunks. Kinda down-dumbing blaming. So roll outs galore of improved privacy protection apps, gadgets, TED talks, carefully redacted/hobbled to appear trustworthy.
