China stops erroneously counting every case of Pneumonia as evidence of Corona-virus
by Razer 25 Feb '20

Case count reduced dramatically: https://www.moonofalabama.org/2020/02/coronavirus-the-decline-of-new-cases-… ...and the reality of what amounts to nothing more than economic hybrid war waged by the US comes back to bite YOU on the ASS, wage slave. You didn't REALLY think the economic elite of the US or CAPITALIST China were going to suffer, did you? "U.S. stock markets drop more than 3.5 percent amid coronavirus fears The Dow at one point plunged more than 1,000 points as markets sounded the alarm about the relentless spread and widening economic impact of the virus." https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/02/24/stocks-dow-nasdaq-corona…

Putin: "Big problem - Hillary knows!" - [PEACE] [COMEDY]
by Zenaan Harkness 23 Feb '20

23 Feb '20

Well well well, an absolutely UNredacted Trump-Putin telephone transcript. In non Soviet Russia, phone transcribe you! On problem below, subject line postulate with "If". What If Hillary Clinton Was Right... https://www.zerohedge.com/political/what-if-hillary-clinton-was-right https://www.libertynation.com/hillary-clinton-was-right-a-satire/ The following is a transcript of what Russian President Vladimir Putin recently told President Donald Trump during a phone call. This transcript was provided by an anonymous Russian – possibly the same one from whom Rep. Adam Schiff tried to get compromising photos of Trump. Unlike Schiff, we have not doctored this transcript. Vladimir Putin: “Hello, Trump, this is Vladimir. Hah! Funny man. Vladimir Putin, president of Russia. Listen, we need to have serious talk. We had agreement. You tell me you cooperate if I help you win election in 2016. What’s this make American great again sh*t? I thought that was joke. You start playing with the ball or I’m going to replace you next year with Tulsi Gabbard. “Yes, Donald, I know, but you are not helpful. Not like Obama. When I rigged his election against … what’s his name? That big, stupid Mormon? Romney, yes, Romney. When I helped Obama he promised to be flexible. Yes, he was very flexible – I got everything I wanted. He was, how you say, pushover. I hoped you would be like him, only more white, of course. “You make America strongest country in world, now. You increase energy production – that’s not good for me. You give aid to the sniveling Ukrainian dogs. You do nothing for Russia. No, that’s not funny, I tell you funny Soviet joke: What do you do with peasant who steal sack of potatoes? Send him to gulag for three winters. Hmm, perhaps it lose something in translation – in Russian, is very funny. Of course, as we used to say in KGB: In Soviet Russia, joke laughs at you. “So, listen carefully, Trump. You start helping me or Tulsi gets your job. Yes, she secret Russian asset but we have problem. Clinton knows. Yes, she knows – I read it on the News Fox and the Washington Examination. I don’t know how she knows. Probably those Ukrainian sh*ts told her – you know, the same ones who try to help her win election. “Clinton is stupid woman, though. She think I groom Tulsi to help you win next year. No, I groom her to take your place. Why? Because she better looking than you and also because I am, how you say, woke: I think it’s time to have woman Russian agent running America. I’ve had black Russian agent, orange Russian agent, and now it’s time for woman Russian agent. “Yes, it is very funny that everyone Russian agent except that crazy old communist, Bernie – and he’s the only one who wants to be Russian agent! That is right: Clinton also know that Jill Stein is Russian agent. Clinton think everyone Russian agent – it’s the only thing she has ever been right about. But she think I set up Gabbard for the third-party campaign to help you win. No, she is not smart. When you read as many of her emails as I do, that becomes clear. “What about this third party thing, anyway? You Americans have too many parties. You should have only one, like here in Russia. Your Democratic Party – that is funny name, by the way – your Democratic Party may be fools, but they understand benefit of having only one party. “Yes, I have the dirt on all other candidates. By January, Gabbard will be ready to take nomination and then you get in the line or you lose, understand? “OK, Donald, you know what you have to do or it’s Tulsi time – like the famous American country song. OK, I must go now, I have Biden on the other line. He wants his son to be next head of Russian army.” In non Soviet Russia, you have been, how we say?, line punched.

In Surprise Move, Pope Francis Shills For Renewed Connection With God
by Zig the N.g 23 Feb '20

23 Feb '20

In a surprise move today, the beloved [by Juan] Pope Francis made an international call for renewed devotion to God and prayer to Christ. The Pope has repeatedly ... hey wait, it looks like there's a new sin, literary: Pope Francis The Taxman https://www.zerohedge.com/political/pope-francis-taxman https://antoniusaquinas.com/2020/02/18/pope-francis-the-taxman/ On the heels of calling for a Marxist economic conference this coming March (“Economy of Francesco”), Jorge Bergoglio (a.k.a. “Pope Francis”) has once again opined on financial matters. The purported head of the Catholic Church has now designated “tax cuts” as sinful behavior on a par, apparently, with stealing, lying, and adultery: Today’s structures of sin include repeated tax cuts for the richest people, often justified in the name of investment and development. Bergoglio did not mention what category of sin advocacy for tax cuts falls under – venial or mortal. Maybe the details of how such a policy ranks in offending Divine Justice will be hammered out at the upcoming Economy of Francesco Commie confab! In Bergoglio’s collectivist mind, those who try and keep their wealth from the ravenous demands of the State are somehow denying the poor their just due: Every year hundreds of billions of dollars, which should be paid in taxes to fund health care and education, accumulate in tax haven accounts, thus impeding the possibility of the dignified and sustained development of all social agents. ... Glad we cleared that up. Ahem ... in a surprise move today, the beloved [by Juan] Pope Francis made an international declaration that repeated tax cuts for the rich is a sin, either mortal or venal (as yet undetermined - Not Sure (TM)(C)(R)). This literal papal declaration is considered by many as an indirect declaration of support for Bernie Sanders' presidency run. Undisclosed sources from the Vatican assured Bernie campaign staffers that Indulgences may be sold until the conclusion of the primaries, with all proceeds going to the Bernie campaign.

on the pain rebuilding US industry - MishTalk snowflake decries lack of USA industrial steel production "instant rebuild/restart"
by Zig the N.g 23 Feb '20

23 Feb '20

An important virtue today is to demonstrate virtuosity by ceaselessly complaining about the lack of instant gratification, because complaints and whining are the only way that a solid national or community foundation is built. Some snowflakes, such as Mike Shedlock (is that even a real name? sounds suspicious) of MishTalk, seem to think that rebuilding a national (say, steel) industry the size North America needs, should take no more than a year, two years tops, and a few import tarriffs. You see, snowflakes can't handle even the smallest sacrifice, shared responsibility, or long term planning - such concepts are anathema to the snowflake who melts to the cryptonite of even the smallest delay to instant gratification. Make American Steel Great Again Backfires In Trump Lawsuit https://www.zerohedge.com/political/make-american-steel-great-again-backfir… https://moneymaven.io/mishtalk/economics/make-american-steel-great-again-ba… ... Trump's Tariffs Backfire Trump had a plan to Make America Steel Great Again. ... Classic, pathetic snowflakery! "Oh gee, in 18 months we didn't get (FAILED!) multi grades bulk steel slab industrial production -competition- started just yet, let's immediately give up on rebuilding USA steel industry!" Carry on, Mish, carry on like the snowflake you are..

AI: Hutter Prize for Compressing Human Knowledge 1G to 115M = €500k
by grarpamp 23 Feb '20

23 Feb '20

http://prize.hutter1.net/ Hutter Prize for Compressing Human Knowledge This compression contest is motivated by the fact that being able to compress well is closely related to acting intelligently, thus reducing the slippery concept of intelligence to hard file size numbers. In order to compress data, one has to find regularities in them, which is intrinsically difficult (many researchers live from analyzing data and finding compact models). So compressors beating the current "dumb" compressors need to be smart(er). Since the prize wants to stimulate developing "universally" smart compressors, we need a "universal" corpus of data. Arguably the online encyclopedia Wikipedia is a good snapshot of the Human World Knowledge. So the ultimate compressor of it should "understand" all human knowledge, i.e. be really smart. enwik9 is a hopefully representative 1GB extract from Wikipedia.

1995 Cypherpunks Archive is discovered to have been heavily forged.
by jim bell 23 Feb '20

23 Feb '20

That's exactly it. I found this out a couple of weeks ago, and there has been a discussion on the Cypherpunks list for the subsequent time. About 5 months of emails have completely disappeared, Feb 14 to July 11, 1995. But from July 11 to the end of December 1995, virtually all emails with the following strings have also disappeared""jim bell", "jimbell(a)pacifier.com", " ap ", and "assassination politics". Since you were a subscriber to the Cypherpunks list in 1995 and 1996 (and possibly later as well) you probably remember what it looked like. Your assistance on the CP list is needed. Jim Bell
