THE OREGON AND WASHINGTON ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM HAS A MAJOR FLAW THAT ALLOWS ANYONE TO FIND THE PERSONAL ADDRESS OF ALL REGISTERED VOTERS, ALLOWS ONE TO CANCEL VOTES, AND ALLOWS INDIVIDUALS TO ISSUE BALLOTS IN OTHER'S NAMES! This is not a joke people. Last night, black hatters successfully used the system to find the personal addresses of Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates[1]. The Black hatters then discovered a system of online voting designed for senior citizens and disableds to vote. This system was then used to cancel the ballot issued by Mayor Ted Wheeler (D, Portland) to President Donald Trump as proof of the flaws. Voter registrations were then changed for numerous individuals to change their mailing address to gibberish.[2] This is NOT A BUG, this is a DESIGN CHOICE for convenience. Furthermore, it was also brought to attention that people can email a vote in. The way the system works is that the most-recent ballot is the only valid one, and all previous ballots were canceled. This group of blackhats, posting to the 4chan board /pol/, were later suppressed and silenced. I expected this to be front-page news by morning. I see nothing of it. Shortly after this was discovered, the voting system was briefly down but restored Sunday morning. No changes were made. All one needs to do is know the Legal Name, and the birth date of the individual to find their private information. No other qualifiers are necessary. The website itself for voter registration[3] does not have a TLS Certificate, meaning the connection is insecure and any information submitted to it is vulnerable to a simple MITM attack. This is the /least/ of the problems at hand. I do not know when this system was implemented, but I believe it may have been as far-back as 2008. Maybe I'm just not cut out for politics. My automated-friendly-hug bots always get labeled 'spam' or 'terrorist propaganda' before I make them. They're so important! A few weeks ago, my friend, who often has fbi agents follow him (that's where people get the federal business card bouquets, they ask the surveillance workers who are always nearby), shared a movie from youtube, to an anonymous e-mail list of people who may be in similar situations. Unfortunately, right after his share, the movie was censored on youtube to everyone in our country. Naturally (actually this is pretty rare for me nowadays), I downloaded the movie from another country using tor and youtube-dl (which required a small bit of hacking due to some bug), uploaded it to somewhere else, and shared it back so he could redistribute a working link, and because it's fun to try to productively and inspirationally push the edges of this unfortunately-deadly-for-other-people struggle, as I can't do much else with my life at this point. Yesterday, this same friend sent out another movie, also on youtube. This time, the youtube video was censored worldwide! ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Jq5bwI3j6g ) Not only that, as you may have heard, youtube-dl's source repository was issued a dmca takedown notice the very same day and is no longer easily accessible. The video is also missing on amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/95ers-Time-Runners-Alan-Peterson/dp/B00JP5R09K ) and other services; I haven't looked to see if these other unavailabilities are new or old. I eventually found the producer of the video on facebook, who raised it from a kickstarter, and messaged them. I eventually downloaded this movie from a very old torrent, which only went to 99.9% completion because I didn't hunt down the last few pieces. Torrents are so much more reliable than youtube. To resolve server admins being targeted, -> set up a server -> run a simple wiki (preferably one users can fork; mediawiki has a basic poorly-maintained git remote that works enough) -> run a simple service that watches a page on the wiki for changes -> the service waits for the page to change, and then for that page to go for 1 day/week without changes (for it to stabilize), treats the content as an e.g. docker file, and uses it to run a user-defined service towards an end -> logs are publicized on the wiki doop-te-doo
