When governments or central bankers denigrate Bitcoin, you hear the same old story over and over again. These powerful people in the current system will tell you that Bitcoin is a scam used by some to defraud poor innocent people. They will tell you that Bitcoin is being used massively on the Dark Web for illegal activities. They will even go so far as to say that Bitcoin facilitates the financing of terrorism and the resale of weapons and drugs. Others will try to appeal to the ecological fiber that is increasingly awakening among the general public by saying that Bitcoin is an ecological disaster that endangers the future of humanity. These same politicians will then vote for the extension of coal-fired power plants in their countries ... If these powerful people cared about humanity, they would act differently in all areas. In reality, they only think about their interests. And that means saving the current system at all costs. It doesn't bother them in the least that the current system is unfair and hurts a majority of people. If the politicians wanted to stop all these illegal activities, they would ban the US dollar then... Then they would attack the banking system that has facilitated money laundering for decades while participating in the financing of terrorism in one way or another. The reason why the powerful in the current system denigrate Bitcoin is simple: Bitcoin challenges an order that has been in place for centuries regarding money creation. They want to keep the power of money creation at all costs. But Bitcoin is there to take the power of money creation out of the hands of the states and give it back to the people. It is therefore eminently political and strategic reasons that motivate governments, the World Bank, the IMF, the Fed, or the ECB when denigrating Bitcoin. The reason is that the very foundations of Bitcoin are embedded in its source code and cannot be manipulated by arbitrary decisions. It is impossible to arbitrarily change the maximum supply of BTC. They cannot arbitrarily change the monetary policy of Bitcoin. With Bitcoin, governments and central bankers can no longer manipulate the system. Bitcoin is truly the separation of money from the hands of the state. And that's what scares the powerful in the current system. They are afraid of a system that gives power back to the people and gives everyone the same opportunities! So don't be surprised to see these powerful people (falsely) denigrate Bitcoin on every possible subject. Ecology, money laundering, scams, criminal use of Bitcoin, ... All clichés are used to scare the general public. The reason is that these powerful people want to avoid it at all costs so that the general public can think for themselves and finally understand that Bitcoin is our way out of a flawed and not fixable system. A system that is fairer to the many and has the potential to change the world of the future for the better. If you dig into the subject of Bitcoin, you will find that terrorists or arms dealers have no interest in using Bitcoin for their activities. Why not? Because the Bitcoin blockchain is an open, decentralized ledger. Authorities can easily trace all transactions that take place on the Bitcoin network. This is why the current system with the US dollar is still preferred by those who want to act illegally. The US dollar, not Bitcoin. With Bitcoin, you have a revolutionary system accessible to everyone. A secure, transparent, traceable, decentralized system that allows us to improve all of our interactions without having to resort to third parties who take their share of the pie in the process. Bitcoin mining is an industry spread across the globe that supports the development of renewable energy. Bitcoin is a force for good in the fight against climate change. It guarantees all humans basic rights. Rather than unnecessarily fighting Bitcoin, states should seize this opportunity to improve the world of tomorrow for the many. Of course, to do this, they will have to agree to give power back to the people in a system that they cannot manipulate for their profit. Something extremely difficult, but by supporting the peaceful Bitcoin revolution, you will be presenting these powerful people with a fait accompli. On your side, you have to make the only choice you can: think for yourself! Don't let others tell you what to think about Bitcoin. Take charge of your life and do your research on Bitcoin, money, and the economy. Everyone who has dared to think for themselves and dig deep into the Bitcoin issue has eventually become a Bitcoiner. Except for Nassim Nicholas Taleb who finally decided to become an opponent of Bitcoin after being a Bitcoiner as early as 2017. One would think he would respond to political pressure ... With this troubling exception, everyone who takes the time to carefully study Bitcoin and the current system eventually opens their eyes and embraces the Bitcoin revolution. This is no accident. The latter takes place, if at all, glacially. Technologies have the ability to shift things virtually overnight. Mentioned in that STRticle, among other things, were 3D printed guns (also known today as “ghost guns” because of their untraceable nature), and in fact I just very recently finished reading Cody Wilson's book, Come and Take It: The Gun Printer's Guide to Thinking Free. One thing not mentioned in my piece, however (though it was touched upon by a commenter there), was Bitcoin. Of course, in 2012, Bitcoin stood virtually alone in the cryptocurrency world and was not yet a big deal according to most forecasters. I guess here is the part where I say, “Boy has that ever changed!” Bitcoin, as the premiere and still predominant cryptocurrency, almost crossed the $20 thousand Federal Reserve Note mark within recent memory. At the time of this writing, it hovers at somewhere around $14,500 FRNs. A far cry from the days when 10,000 bitcoins bought two large pizzas. Its price index remains volatile for the time being, making it both attractive and bearish to some investors, and the number of places where it can be exchanged for real goods and services is expanding slowly for the time being. It also faces much competition. At present, there are well over 1,300 Bitcoin imitators, with new ones cropping up on an almost daily basis. Some emphasize expediency and low computing power requirements (like NEM's XEM – now the second most popular cryptocurrency in Japan), others stealth and privacy (Monero, Dash, and the nascent Spectrecoin come to mind). Still others thrive on marketability and name-recognition – such as Litecoin, or the Bitcoin blockchain-fork derivatives, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. But back to good old standard Bitcoin for a moment: In a recent New York Times opinion piece, that arch and dogmatically committed advocate of all things Marxist and retrogressive, Paul Krugman, has delivered what might be considered an ultimate and unabashed coup de grace showing of his hand (as if one were still needed at this juncture). The title leaves little room for speculation about Krugman's attitudes towards free markets and individualism. “Bitcoin Is Evil” makes sure to decry both the cryptocurrency and gold itself (though the latter to a slightly lesser degree, predictably), while touting centralized banking and the almighty Federal Reserve Note as the only bastions of socialist sanity in an ugly, reckless, and flat-out bizarre world of anti-governmentalism and capitalist greed. Just bear witness to the quote Krugman cites from an article by fellow uber-leftist Charlie Stross: “BitCoin looks like it was designed as a weapon intended to damage central banking and money issuing banks, with a Libertarian political agenda in mind—to damage states ability to collect tax and monitor their citizens financial transactions.” Before uttering “Duh, Sherlock!” we might first pause a moment to consider that Krugman, Stross, and all those who think like them – a considerable segment of the population – see nothing wrong whatsoever with centralized banking and money issuance, taxation, and the ability of governments to monitor all financial transactions. In fact, not only do they see nothing wrong with these things – they see any attempt to hinder or thwart them as “evil.” This is what we are up against. And I hold out little or no hope that such a twisted mindset can ever change. Fortunately, emerging technologies have the ability to bypass people's belief systems in ways that render their objections meaningless. Yes, that's a double-edged sword, and states can and do use technology to violate privacy all the time. But with cryptocurrency now on the digital map, I get the feeling we're going to finally start giving more than we're getting when it comes to sticking it to Big Brother. Ultimately, even lefties like Krugman – who infamously once opined that the Internet would lead to no greater changes than were introduced by the fax machine – will likely be co-opted into using cryptos whether it dissolves their Marxian leviathan agenda or not. People en masse rarely if ever think about the philosophical ramifications of a new technological development that makes life quicker, easier, and less expensive – even if and when it contravenes their belief system. In the case of cryptos, this works in favor of liberty, and not at all against it. Just like most if not all prior leaps in technology. The development of the Internet itself, and the social and alternative medias which have sprung up as a result, may have expanded and accelerated the ability of freedom advocates to reach others, and to a not insignificant degree this has borne fruit. That said, the libertarian message has run and is still running up against the resistant and obstinate nature of the human mind. Bitcoin, and all of its crypto-progeny, are encountering very few of such psychological barriers. And this is cause for some hope.

Crypto-trading is now officially approved in the UAE and Israel - and you don't get half-pregnant with this stuff. So Israel it is true, in causing a social revolution in Palestine, was actuated only by the vilest interests, and was stupid in her manner of enforcing them. But that is not the question. The question is, can humankind fulfil its destiny without a fundamental revolution in the social state of Asia? If not, whatever may have been the crimes of Israel she was the unconscious tool of history in bringing about that revolution.

Crypto writ large is making great strides overall in the areas like the social-security side of global governance. However, like the UN, its flailing and failing on the defense security side. Clearly crypto-currencies without APster can never deliver crypto-anarchy. Many may well look askance at a movement that can't remove its own anti-social criminals - the likes of Julian Assmange, Ross Ulbricht and Alex Jones. " They can't protect themselves let alone anyone else!? " Sadly that remains the case. But all that said, things still happen fast these days. Its safe to say APster virality will arrive this decade.
