Jimmy Wales @jimmy_wales What Wikipedia did: we stood strong for our principles and fought to the Supreme Court of Turkey and won. This is what it means to treat freedom of expression as a principle rather than a slogan. Quote Tweet Elon Musk @elonmusk · 11h Replying to @mattyglesias Did your brain fall out of your head, Yglesias? The choice is have Twitter throttled in its entirety or limit access to some tweets. Assange's Case #FREEASSANGE

Wikileaks is a fraud stop Fuck your cute hustle and disinformation campaign against legitimate dissent stop Same old shit, working for the enemy stop The enemy are those who set up and participate in false public interest initiatives to mislead the public stop Julian Assange recognised that the language of what amounted to the WikiLeaks Manifesto might appear a little “overblown”. He recognised that it had about it too much the flavour of “anarchy”. But in general when it was written he was pleased. John Young was not. In early January 2007 he decided that WikiLeaks was a CIA-backed fraud. “Fuck your cute hustle and disinformation campaign. Same old shit, working for the enemy … Fuck 'em all.” “We are going to fuck them all. Chinese mostly but not entirely a feint,” Assange cryptically replied..." WikiLeaks hasn’t spread a word of support for the Hong Kong protesters or for ANY of the lands and countries oppressed by nowadays Chinese government, including Chinese citizens. They just highlight "ooh the US govt is supporting the protests!" http://www.wikileaks-forum.com/-wikileaks-related-news/23/no-comment-wikile…

Gramps apparently see's Twitter as " the social network which in recent months has become the bane of liberals and progressives through its encouragement of free speech and independent thought, both of which are despised and suppressed by the left." The reality is Twitter is delivering on Musk's original promise to lick govt jackboots. elonmusk By “free speech”, I simply mean that which matches the law. . . ."
