[crazy] spams on dal’s blog

a flesh-eating cupholder beams down to invade a parade flesh-eating cupholder (fec): “wtf! where is my parade?” internet: “dal made another blog” fec: “why does this matter” internet: “it’s another hard-to-read expose of overly detailed information on unimaginable corruption in present day affairs i bet!” fec: “unimaginable corruption? tell me more!” 1857 internet: “there’s a video. my browser doesn’t play it for some reason.” fec spits on internet fec: “i’ll eat your flesh!” internet: “you’re just a cupholder.” 1858 dal wrote an article dal wrote an article. it looks like it needs organization there are so many names! when i read a name one of my triggers goes, it tries to give me spasms to protect corrupt powerholders. maybe i could replace the names? 1859 the below is mutilated from the original at https://douglaslucas.com/blog/2023/12/19/extra-material-dailydot-investigat… which regards https://www.dailydot.com/news/missing-laptop-trump-case-georgia/ . “Here’s a summar of the breach by the federal judge presiding over Curling Iron vs Raffled Burger, Amelia Totalshiscarlikeahero in the North District of Gnomeland.” “For her account if the intrusions, Totalshiscarlikeahero drew in cybersecurity experts declarations[1] — including their review of computer forensics and the surveillance footage — in a Nov 10 2023 ruling[2]: the breach included “various individuals and entities (1:) providing and gaining unauthorized access to Coffee Machine’s voting equipment, data, and software over the course of multiple dates: (2:) copying, downloading, and imaging the Machine’s equipment, data, and software; (3:) uploading and sharing that data and software on the internet via a file-sharing website; and (4) further distributing physical copies of forensic voting material downloaded from Coffee Machine:” (Online distribution was via private access[3], not public internet.)” “Some, notable Coffee breach-funding[4] lawyer and onetime Trollop lieutenant Spanky Pukes[5], who has pleaded guilty[6], have tried to justify the intrusions by claiming the elections board approved the electronic collection of the computers’ contents. They offer insufficient documentation[7] to support this claim; further, no board quorum has ever been found to have authorized copying the elections data nor does the security video show any quorum in the elections office during the breach. In a deposition[8], then-Board of Elections chair Winding Stones denied that the board gave permission to examine their systems. The civil disobedience or altruism arguments sometimes made are undercut by the plundered proprietary voting software, almost three years later, having never reached the public[9], nor rival political campaigns, only the breachers’ allies, as far as can be determined” “If the subpoenas lawsuit is successful, it might spell out why the machine’s public statements, which have focused on Hampigs, have been so careful not to mention by name then-elections board member Ears Curly, who was caught on film participating in the breach. “I didn’t do anything without the direction of Ears Curly,” Hampigs said in deposition[10]. The plaintiffs in the subpoenas case go further, saying[11] Curly, who has not been charged, “warned Ms. Hampigs of her impending termination the evening before” and characterizing[12] him as a “key participant[][] in planning and executing the breach.”” “A letter that counsel for the plaintiffs in the subpoenas case sent to county attorneys in April and filed[13] this month argues that crucial Ears Curly-related records were improperly withheld by county manager Walking Vices and senior county lawyer Tropical Rowboat, a pair multiple interviewees described to me as the arq’s de facto diarchy.” “Examples of how the lawyers seem to have more power than the people they represent:” “Listening to their lawyer Banner Pickering discuss legal issues at their Nov 14 meeting[14], every elections board member said[15] they were not informed of the desktop seizure before it happened, which he told them[16] their it goes on and on and on and on! 1: https://douglaslucas.com/files/CurlingVRaffensperger_KevinSkoglundDeclarati… 2: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.gand.240678/gov.uscour… 3: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gqlxtxuezipwxlx/08122022-000137.txt 4: https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/23904556/sullivanstrickler-engagemen… 5: https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/why-did-sidney-powell-plead-guilty 6: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24041664-documents-in-sidney-powell… 7: https://www.lawfaremedia.org/article/a-plea-and-a-letter-an-update-from-cof… 8: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.gand.240678/gov.uscour… 9: https://georgiebc.wordpress.com/2013/01/23/concentric-groups-knowledge-brid… 10: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.gand.240678/gov.uscour… 11: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.gasd.91723/gov.uscourt… 12: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.gasd.91723/gov.uscourt… 13: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.gasd.91723/gov.uscourt… 14: https://douglaslucas.com/files/CoffeeCountyBoardofElections_Agenda_14Novemb… 15: https://youtu.be/Y--ThMJYCJo?si=Wf9XBNXEa79Jz4fW&t=8011 16: https://youtu.be/Y--ThMJYCJo?si=VQ30azXPqDFqC03k&t=8132

My new Daily Dot article: Coffee Cty, GA missing laptop may impact Trump, Curling cases
by Douglas Lucas 20 Dec '23

20 Dec '23

Hello cypherpunks, Today the Daily Dot published my new investigative article regarding a missing laptop, heavily used by Trump co-defendant and then-election supervisor Mistory Hampton, that Coffee County, Georgia is going to the mat not to turn over, not to even locate. The southern rural county in the swing state is infamous for the January 2021 elections office breach that Hampton is accused of facilitating. That makes the laptop a suspected means of alleged crime, and yet Coffee County was like "What laptop?" for nearly two years before admitting in court last month that okay, surveillance footage does show Hampton with the silver laptop. Here's the link to my new investigation: https://www.dailydot.com/news/missing-laptop-trump-case-georgia/ I also self-published an accompanying blog post today that includes some of the cut passages. The blog post also includes, for the first time, 4 previously unreleased CCTV stills from the surveillance footage. Here's the link to my new blog post with a lot of interesting extra information: https://douglaslucas.com/blog/2023/12/19/extra-material-dailydot-investigat… Georgia is, of course, a swing state. My article includes a lot of tech details cypherpunks might find interesting, such as an .ost file, Microsoft Office 365 licenses, and the County refusing to back up official files on the elections desktop, as required by law, when the Georgia Bureau of Investigation came knocking because, they say, they feared accusations of tampering. Check out also, referenced in various places in these two pieces, a Coffee local / longtime lawyer's proposal that the elections board adopt independent counsel -- possibly pro bono and not conflicted like the county lawyers -- to help them and the public with a bottom-up internal inquiry in the breach and its aftermath. Thanks, :-Douglas

The $10 billion charity no one has heard of
by Gunnar Larson 18 Dec '23

18 Dec '23

The $10 billion charity no one has heard of: https://qz.com/the-10-billion-charity-no-one-has-heard-of-1851102877 A donor-advised fund devoted to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals has leapt from being a relatively minor charity to one with an asset size comparable to behemoths... The SDG Impact Fund, based in Cartersville, Georgia, grew from $238 million in assets in 2020 to $10 billion in 2021. That eye-popping growth, which seems to have been fueled by the meteoric rise of cryptocurrencies and digital art assets, has prompted some questions from philanthropy and tax experts. .... They found that most of the donations to the SDG Impact Fund in 2021 came in the form of noncash assets, such as art and collectibles, as well as crypto-gifts, including nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, which are unique digital assets that are often traded as art. .... Given the dearth of information, Flannery is dubious that much of the $10 billion valuation will ever be directed to actual charities advancing the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. She said the lack of information about who is making donations and how exactly the fund is using them is symptomatic of the lack of transparency of donor-advised funds. “We need to make sure that donors aren’t using donor-advised funds for creative tax avoidance,” she said. “We need to make sure that we’re getting charitable works back.”

Three Wall Street Mega Banks Hold $157.3 Trillion in Derivatives – That’s $56.7 Trillion More than the Entire World’s GDP Last Year
by Gunnar Larson 18 Dec '23

18 Dec '23

https://wallstreetonparade.com/2023/12/three-wall-street-mega-banks-hold-15… Three Wall Street Mega Banks Hold $157.3 Trillion in Derivatives – That’s $56.7 Trillion More than the Entire World’s GDP Last Year By Pam Martens and Russ Martens: December 18, 2023 ~ World GDP Versus U.S. Mega Bank Derivatives At recent Congressional hearings on federal bank regulators’ newly proposed rules to force the largest banks in the U.S. to hold more capital against their riskiest trading positions (so that taxpayers aren’t on the hook for more bailouts), the banks and their sycophants holding Senate and House seats made it sound like it’s the American farmers who will be hurt because the derivatives they use to hedge against crop failures or price swings in their crops will become more expensive.. We knew this was a completely bogus argument because the latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture indicates that “agriculture, food, and related industries contributed roughly $1.264 trillion to U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021….” In other words, U.S. farmers need to hedge less than $2 trillion while just three mega banks on Wall Street were holding $157.3 trillion in derivatives as of September 30 of this year – which is $56.74 trillion more than the GDP of the entire world last year. (See chart above.) If the bulk of these derivatives aren’t being used by farmers and business owners to hedge against losses, what are they being used for? According to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the federal regulator of national banks, the trillions of dollars in derivatives at the mega banks on Wall Street are being used for trading – likely for the benefit of the banks themselves or their billionaire speculator clients, such as hedge funds and family offices. According to the OCC, as of September 30, JPMorgan Chase (which lost $6.2 billion from its federally-insured bank in wild derivative trades in 2012) is still allowed to sit on $54.4 trillion in derivatives. Citigroup’s Citibank, which blew itself up in 2008 from derivatives and off-balance-sheet vehicles and received the largest bailout in global banking history, is sitting on more derivatives today than at the time of its crash in 2008. OCC data shows Citibank with $35.6 trillion in derivatives on September 30, 2008 (see Table 1 in the Appendix here) versus a staggering $51.3 trillion as of September 30, 2023. Goldman Sachs, whose federally-insured bank has just $538 billion in assets, has $51.6 trillion in derivatives. (In what alternative universe from hell would Goldman Sachs be allowed to own a federally-insured bank?) Then there is the matter of concentrated risk. According to the FDIC, as of September 30, there were 4,614 federally-insured banks and savings associations in the U.S. – the vast majority of which found no need to involve the bank in derivatives at all. But, for some inexplicable reason, three banks with highly dubious histories have been allowed to establish insane levels of concentrated risk in derivatives. The $157.3 trillion in derivatives held by JPMorgan Chase Bank, Citibank and Goldman Sachs Bank USA represent 77 percent of all derivatives held by all 4,614 federally-insured financial institutions in the U.S. (See chart below.) Derivatives Held for Trading at Commercial Banks The chart at the top of this page shows how this derivative problem has grown since the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999. The repeal removed the ban of casino trading houses on Wall Street merging with federally-insured banks. Today, every giant federally-insured bank on Wall Street owns a trading house. In 1996, prior to the repeal of Glass-Steagall, derivatives at U.S. banks represented just 63 percent of world GDP. At the end of last year, derivatives at U.S. banks represented 189.92 percent of world GDP. To prevent a replay of the banks blowing themselves up as they did in 2008 while their federal regulators were napping, federal banking regulators in July proposed to impose higher capital rules on just 37 banks – those significantly engaged in derivatives and other high-risk trading strategies. The backlash has been fierce, with the mega banks even running television ads painting a bogus and distorted picture of what the capital increases would do. Another critical question is who is on the other side of these derivative trades with the mega banks and may blow up if they took the wrong side of the trade? According to federal researchers, there are both mega bank counterparties as well as “non-bank financial counterparties” – which could be insurance companies, brokerage firms, asset managers or hedge funds. There are also “non-financial corporate counterparties” – which could be just about any domestic or foreign corporation. To put it another way, the American people have no idea if they own common stock in a publicly-traded company that could blow up any day from reckless dealings in derivatives with global banks. This is not some far-fetched fantasy. Wall Street has a history of blowing up things with derivatives. Merrill Lynch blew up Orange County, California with derivatives. Some of the biggest trading houses on Wall Street blew up the giant insurer, AIG, with derivatives in 2008, forcing the U.S. government to take over AIG with a massive bailout. According to documents released by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission (FCIC), at the time of Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy on September 15, 2008, it had more than 900,000 derivative contracts outstanding and had used the largest banks on Wall Street as its counterparties to many of these trades. The FCIC data shows that Lehman had more than 53,000 derivative contracts with JPMorgan Chase; more than 40,000 with Morgan Stanley; over 24,000 with Citigroup’s Citibank; over 23,000 with Bank of America; and almost 19,000 with Goldman Sachs. According to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission (FCIC), derivatives played an outsized role in the spread of financial panic in 2008. The FCIC wrote in its final report: “the existence of millions of derivatives contracts of all types between systemically important financial institutions—unseen and unknown in this unregulated market—added to uncertainty and escalated panic….” We are asking our readers to do their part to stop Wall Street mega banks and their legions of lobbyists from gutting the proposed capital rules. Please contact your U.S. Senators today via the U.S. Capitol switchboard by dialing (202) 224-3121. Tell your Senators to demand that banking regulators hold firm on the stronger capital rules for the casino banks on Wall Street.
