It simply doesn't can't and won't work. Nodeless is a GovCorp custodial intermediary to BTC-LN. Silicon Valley Crypto is not altruistic, it exists to make money, any way, and by any lie it can, period, any human benefit is secondary. As far as Human Freedom goes, it's all garbage... Govt and Banks are now all feeding the hype on Bitcoin because they know that since it is not privacy-enabled and that its low txrate and storage demands and fees and corporate dominated ASIC mining all continually forces it toward full custodial and censorship for 90% of humanity, that they can eventually control and usurp it into becoming their Devil's CBDC, now being trojaned upon the 90% with great fanfare of "Bitcoin" "laser eyes" "gainz" etc, great wealthy powers playing their extraction game as usual. "Our goal is to make Bitcoin a medium of exchange by making it as easy as possible for merchants to accept Bitcoin," Nodeless's pseudonymous creator UTXO told Decrypt. Still, using Lightning non-custodially—without a middleman taking control of a user’s funds—can be tricky for newer users. In some ways, Nodeless's functionality is similar to OpenNode, another Lightning-based Bitcoin payments provider. But Nodeless offers one key difference: users don't have to share identifying information to begin accepting payments using the platform. In other words, it's a non-KYC (Know Your Customer) service. ‘Nodeless’ payments Using Lightning non-custodially generally requires a user to run their own Lightning node. This can be tricky for non-technical users or users strapped for time. There are already platforms out there like Voltage or Greenlight, however, which provide a one-click solution for setting up a Lightning node, and where users don't have to maintain the node over time. But Nodeless takes a different approach. Nodeless is "nodeless" in the sense that a merchant accepting payments doesn't have to run their own Lightning node—which takes time and resources to establish and run, and eats up computational resources. There's still a node involved—a node is always involved when sending a Bitcoin or Lightning payment. But instead of a user running their own node, Nodeless's node is the one passing on the payment. When a payment is sent to the merchant, it's sent to Nodeless. Nodeless then immediately sends the payment to the merchant’s on-chain or Lightning address. "Technically we custody individual payments for several seconds while the payment is in transit. We believe this is a fair trade-off versus the complexities of running a lightning node," UTXO said. So, Nodeless is technically a custodial solution in that it holds a user's funds for a minute. But it promises to give it back very quickly. Users provide a Lightning address or cold wallet storage Bitcoin address to which Nodeless will promptly forward the user's funds. Privacy money Some Bitcoiners expressed skepticism about this model, arguing that as the company grows, KYC requirements from governments will get more stringent. Or, since Nodeless is technically a centralized solution, governments could conceivably step in and force the company to stop transactions it doesn't like. But UTXO thinks Nodeless can bypass these pressures. Nodeless operates legally in Canada, where transactions under $1,000 don't require KYC identification. In the long-term, they're looking to move to El Salvador, known for its lax measures toward Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, where UTXO said "this business is welcomed with open arms." "I also think [governments will] be more interested in the non-KYC custodians before Nodeless," UTXO said.

i linked some time ago to a small 4-legged walking robot i started making during chemotherapy, when i was able to work on it for many weeks. i didn't finish this. one next option was implementing an algorithm for planning steps. my hands broke the controller and refused to fix it as this developed. it seems there's still value to writing this algorithm. it seems nice to engage it a little.

Should the Mange present in court as a journalist / publisher seeking free-speech protection he may be cross examined on these statements of his that he is a spy and/ or a combatant in a war and a war propagandist. Media practitioners and their advocates routinely emphasize the civilian and protected nature of their professional work when reporting on armed conflict. They never claim to be spies and/or warfighters. Any argument Assmange is a journalist - publisher confronts statements of his that contradict this. For example. That WL are ‘spies for the people’ and that the organization is a peoples intelligence agency. Journalism has rules, ethics; espionage has no rules/ethics. Then - in May 2017 - Assmange suggest a ’ proper war is commencing’, calls for ’ acts of resistance’ and sez WL is a ‘combatant’. Journalists are neither combatants, nor spies. They are civilian non-combatants.

Apologies for the lack of quoting y'all, can't at the moment, I'll try to paraphrase fairly. Professor Rat said something like, why is this article important to cypherpunks, besides in a know-thy-enemy way. I think the Georgia situation will further spiral out of control as time goes on, getting wilder and wilder. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point WL or DDoSecrets or who knows else, publishes the swiped Dominion Democracy Suite 5.5-A or something like that. So I'm hoping my article prepares cypherpunks for such an event, because most likely, of all that may happen due to the breach of Coffee County 5.5-A, the biggest thing will be disinfo that includes elements of the swiped source code, already happened at CPAC [1]. The (so far, far right partisan restricted) leak of State (well, Dominion Voting Systems, but what's the diff) governance source code strikes me as a matter of cypherpunks interest ... I have a strong sense there's more on the way between now and Election Day 2024. Professor Rat and Karl went back and forth a little about the importance or not of representative voting/consensus methods. Without delving into it in great detail, I will say I basically oppose representative governance (and hierarchy governance like fascism or monarchy), and think direct voting/consensus should primarily be limited to very small groups (e.g., "Can the three of us come to consensus about what we want for dinner tonight?"). There are other paths, e.g. stigmergy. But how to get from here to there. I wrote a single installment on whistleblower Reality Winner so far for the _Texas Observer_. Due to their (well publicized) financial restructuring, my next installments are in slow-mo. But one of them will most def be about grassroots activism to not only protect/secure, but also to evolve voting. So for example, in Texas where I'm from, there are almost never referendums on the ballot -- only in rare cases of amending the state constitution. So Texans can only vote for representatives/politicians. But here in Seattle we have referendums all the time (i.e. many of the red state people, much of the country, don't even know what referendums are). Just a few election cycles ago, Seattleites voted directly on an *idea* rather than personalities ... namely, whether soda should or shouldn't be taxed to fund pre-k education and other social services. Forget the specifics or whether for/against that particular example/tax, just the idea of voting directly on a proposition is something that could be spread throughout the country to (hopefully) reduce the apathy and celebpolitician-worship of John Q Public. Other way to evolve democracy could be, you know, you can vote with a ballot, but you can also "vote" with your actions, such as Food Not Bombs or torching a slaughterhouse. So I plan to delve into just that kind of stuff in a future installment. Unless in a ' Know your enemy " way. Voting in nationalist elections is strictly against the anarchist religion - one of the few issues anarchists are in accord about over the last 180 odd years. I just targeted that scumbag loser, Porter Smith for trying to smuggle in this loudly inferior form of democracy to web 3. Him, and that scumbag loser, Balaji and Mollusk are now trying to do for net politics what the crypto industry suits are trying to do for the world economy. Anarchists use direct-democracy, consensus and constituent assemblies NOT representative democracy, MAGAT populism and Town Squares run by the likes of Pinochet and Elon Musk.
