https://joebot.substack.com/p/synthetic-salvation-on-genomics-mind Synthetic Salvation - On Genomics, Mind Uploads, & The Quest For Immortality Submitted by Joe Allen's substack, Singularity Weekly. Our elites want to live forever. The rest of us will make for rich compost Fear of death is intrinsic to human life. As our years accumulate, we watch friends and family drop off, one by one, disappearing from our presence and lingering only in memories. Barring some miracle, divine or otherwise, we’re all soon to follow, down to the sweetest baby ever born. Unfazed by this horror, the faithful are emboldened by belief in resurrection or reincarnation—a direct participation in the eternal. For religious people, the body is just a vehicle for a transcendent soul. The mystery of death is a rite of passage. For the materialist, there is only this world, beyond which the dying meet total annihilation. The brain dissolves into black nothingness. Consciousness stops with the Big Zero at the end of our lives. And for all sentient beings, and all memory of our existence, there awaits the Big Zero at the end of the universe. The cosmos is nothing but atoms and the void. To make matters worse, the atoms are slowly freezing to death. Wallowing in this trance of sorrow, our elites, and most anybody else, would pay anything to live forever—or just a little longer. Held in thrall by old age, disease, and death, they put faith in biomedical protection racketeers who swear they can keep the Reaper at bay. Today, it’s the vaxx-addicts and maskholes. Tomorrow, it’ll be needle-pocked mutants with blinking devices stuck all over them, who pray to AI for a place in the cloud. Transhumanism offers synthetic salvation through three basic methods—bio longevity, bionic continuity, and digital immortality. Genomics will stop aging on the cellular level. Bionics will keep the body running with replacement parts. Once artificial intelligence is sufficiently advanced, mind uploads will allow eternal communion with the digital deities whom techies are busy creating. “I think that there’s a good probability,” the human-reptile hybrid, Jared Kushner, recently said, “that my generation is—hopefully with the advances in science—either the first generation to live forever, or the last generation that’s gonna die.” A more likely scenario? This is the first generation to merge with machines, and the last generation to regret it. Kushner is not alone. Many of our credulous elites, from Wall Street to the World Economic Forum, have been ensnared by a techno-religion. Its unfrocked priests are the scientists and futurists who push radical gene therapies, brain-computer interfaces, and various life-logging gadgets. As the actual technology becomes more and more sophisticated, you can be sure every atheist and his lapsed uncle will fall prey to this cosmic scam. And for those who can’t afford it? Well, you know, there’s only so much room on the lifeboat. Bio Longevity In order to cheat death, at least for awhile, the first method is to preserve the body at the cellular level. One proposed line of attack is to correct defective genes and defuse the cell’s innate self-destruct programs. With the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 complex in 2012, geneticists now have the power to more easily knock out faulty genes, and even insert new, superior genetic codes. Joe Biden’s recent executive order, the National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative, has slated $2 billion for these “high-risk, high reward” projects to “write circuitry for cells and predictably program biology in the same way in which we write software and program computers.” There are also less invasive procedures, to be used in conjunction with gene-editing, such as munching vitamins morning, noon, and night, or gaining self-knowledge through Internet of Bodies surveillance devices—wearable trackers which feed every biometric data point into an artificial intelligence system, putting flesh on the bones of your “digital twin.” In theory, the resulting simulation could be used as a reference for targeted gene-editing. “By preventing 90 percent of medical problems,” Ray Kurzweil wrote in The Singularity is Near, “life expectancy grows to over five hundred years. At 99 percent, we’d be over one thousand years. We can expect that the full realization of the biotechnology and nanotechnology revolutions will enable us to eliminate virtually all medical causes of death.” Inspired by this sort of statistical fantasy, Big Tech oligarchs are pouring billions into various life extension laboratories: SENS Research Foundation – Co-founded by the transhumanist Aubrey de Grey in 2009, this organization seeks to halt and reverse aging. “No matter what caused a given unit of damage in the first place,” they assure us, “the same regenerative therapeutics can be used to repair it.” Altos Labs – Founded by Jeff Bezos and the corporate transhumanist Yuri Milner in 2021, this is a “new biotechnology company focused on cellular rejuvenation programming to restore cell health and resilience, with the goal of reversing disease to transform medicine.” Calico Labs – Acquired by Google in 2015 at the behest of Larry Page and Sergey Brin, this company is focused on “the convergence of biology and technology, coupled with a long-term perspective and funding” with high hopes of “curing death.” Methuselah Foundation – Bankrolled by Peter Thiel (along with many other immortality start-ups), this foundation is on a mission to “make 90 the new 50 by 2030.” And the list goes on and on. By all appearances, billionaires fear death as if hell awaits, and they’ll pay any amount to avoid it. If you’re lucky, you too might add a few years to your life through trickle-down immortality. Should these gene-therapies and 3D-printed organs fail to keep your carcass shambling along, there are always cryonic doctors who’ll freeze you right before you die, then thaw you out once these transhumanists finally get their shit together. Alcor Life Extension Foundation, for example, charges $80,000 to freeze your head, and $200,000 for the full body treatment. It’s a small price to pay for a shot at immortality. Bionic Continuity The second method is to replace failing tissues and organs with mechanical parts. We do this already with pacemakers, prosthetic limbs, cochlear implants, dental implants, deep brain stimulation devices, and flag-raising penile implants. In a real sense, the entire plastic surgery industry—from hair transplants to rubber duck lips to silicone boobs—is a means to stave off our inevitable dissolution, if only on a superficial level. Transhumanists foresee a day, just over the horizon, when more advanced prosthetics will offer superior functionality—including brain function. We’ll have Swiss Army knives for fingers and versatile artificial genitals, sort of like today’s transgenders, but presumably way better. Any prospective immortal had better hope so. This cyborg dream was fleshed out in the early 20th century by the Marxist thinker J.D. Bernal. “Already we know the essential electrical nature of nerve impulses,” he wrote in 1929, “it is a matter of delicate surgery to attach nerves permanently to apparatus which will either send messages to the nerves or receive them. And the brain thus connected up continues an existence, purely mental and with very different delights from those of the body, but now perhaps preferable to complete extinction.” Bernal compared this bionic transformation to the metamorphosis of a butterfly, albeit one with hideous wings. “Apart from such mental development as his increased faculties will demand from him,” he speculated, “he will be physically plastic in a way quite transcending the capacities of untransformed humanity.” Screenshot: “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” (1991) As we hurtle toward this nightmare in the 21st century, futurists claim it’ll soon be possible to model the entire human brain—down to the last electrochemical thought pattern—using artificial intelligence. The transhumanist guru Ray Kurzweil predicts this will be accomplished by 2029. (It’s unclear if that will be early in the year, or just in time for Christmas.) Following an AI-created digital template, doctors will replace our dying neurons with artificial neurons. Bit by bit, our meat brains will be transformed into a latticework of lightning fast transistors. It’s an upgraded mind-brain that could last forever—so be sure to get a warranty. Would this mechanical monster still be you, though? The idea is that a pattern is a pattern, and the human “soul” is just a pattern of information. It doesn’t matter what the medium may be. Think of it this way—if you replaced every thread in a sweater, strand by strand, with artificial wool, it would still feel like the same old sweater. Maybe even better. In a similar manner, many believe your personal consciousness will survive the transition from gray matter to circuitry. This mind-machine merger would be like looking out at the world through your smartphone—forever. You’d hardly notice the difference. “If you think about replacing the neurons one at a time by prosthetic neurons made of silicon,” explains the philosopher of consciousness and NYU-employed transhumanist, David Chalmers: Just say I replace ten percent of my brain with silicon chips…do it one at a time, and keep going and keep going…and they interconnect with the other ones in a perfect way. … I think as long as you do it gradually, and replace the neurons one by one, then it’s gonna be like getting prosthetic limbs or [an] artificial heart. You’re gonna be replacing parts of me, but I’m gonna be present throughout, and I think I could even stay conscious. Of course, these artificial neurons haven’t been developed yet—not even close—but they will be one day. You’ll see. Have a little faith. Scientists are working hard. It’s a solid investment. Digital Immortality The third method to attain quasi-eternal life is basically the digital side of bionic continuity. Rather than, or in addition to, replacing neurons with artificial neurons, the mind will be gradually uploaded to a computer, where the patterns of one’s personality can be entombed in perpetuity. Transhumanists delight in pointing out we’re already doing this. Everyone from toddlers to creaky old codgers is feeding their inner self into Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, third-party data vultures, and any intelligence agencies with backdoor access to these companies. Perhaps one day they’ll sell our digital twins back to us so we can inhabit our virtual wraiths. “Currently, when our human hardware crashes,” Ray Kurzweil wrote, “the software of our lives—our personal ‘mind file’—dies with it. However, this will not continue to be the case when we have the means to store and restore the thousands of trillions of bytes of information represented in the pattern that we call our brains.” Kurzweil believes injectable nanobots are the key to this uploading process. These microscopic robots will travel through the brain, mapping every neuron and synapse, creating a perfect facsimile of the “soul” in a computer. But there’s more than one way to skin a cat. As with most transhumanists, Kurzweil was deeply influenced by the Carnegie Mellon roboticist Hans Moravec, who in 1988 described a gruesome uploading procedure now known as the “Moravec Transfer.” Basically, the patient commits suicide by having his or her brain scraped off, like whittling an onion, with each skin copied in silico: You are fully conscious. The robot surgeon opens your brain case and places a hand on the brain’s surface. This unusual hand bristles with microscopic machinery, and a cable connects it to the mobile computer at your side. … The surgeon’s hand sinks a fraction of a millimeter deeper into your brain, instantly compensating its measurements and signals for the changed position. The process is repeated for the next layer, and soon a second simulation resides in the computer, communicating with the first and with the remaining original brain tissue. Layer after layer the brain is simulated, then excavated. Eventually your skull is empty…your mind has been removed from the brain and transferred to a machine. Some would call this biohorror, but transhumanists revere the “Moravec Transfer” as a pioneering vision of synthetic salvation. Screenshot: “The Lawnmower Man” (1992) One of Kurzweil’s distinguished disciples, the transgender tech innovator Martine Rothblatt, proposes a kinder, gentler man-machine merger by way of mind-cloning. “This blessing of emotional and intellectual continuity or immortality,” she (he? whatever) wrote in Virtually Human, “is being made possible through the development of digital clones, or mindclones: software versions of our minds, software-based alter egos, doppelgängers, mental twins.” In other words, with sufficiently detailed surveillance, our personal data can be processed through artificial intelligence to create a new, more durable “soul” in silico. “When the body of a person with a mindclone dies,” Rothblatt goes on, “the mindclone will not feel that they have personally died, although the body will be missed in the same ways amputees miss their limbs but acclimate when given an artificial replacement. … The mindclone is to the consciousness and spirit as the prosthetic is to an arm that has lost its hand.” Having been baptized in electromagnetic waves, you will become your digital ghost, floating forever among the AI angels. The metaphysics of this process make no sense, but then, why should the transhuman techno-cult be any more realistic than traditional cults? Their delusions would be funny if they weren’t constantly intruding upon our lives through ubiquitous screens and surveillance devices, and blasted into our brains with wall-to-wall propaganda. “If anything,” Rothblatt conceded in a TED interview, “I’m perhaps a bit of a communicator of activities that are being undertaken by the greatest companies in China, Japan, India, the U.S., Europe.” You have to wonder if we’ll have social credit scores in heaven. So You Want To Live Forever—Good Luck With That Humanity is composed of three primary elements—the spiritual, the biological, and the technological. At best, we are eternal souls enshrined in bodies, with exceedingly powerful tools in our hands. At worst, we’re bumbling monkeys in the Machine. As the materialist worldview erodes our spiritual consciousness, we’re left with nothing but mortal bodies. When God is dead, technology is exalted as the highest power, holding out the promise of free WiFi and synthetic salvation. The delusion of physical immortality, whether bodily or digital—or both—is capturing our elites’ imaginations. It doesn’t take a mathematical genius to figure out that if they actually managed to live forever, and the planet has finite space and resources, some number of us will have to become compost for their biomechanical gardens. Personally, I don’t mind the idea of being turned into mulch. That’s the fate of every man and woman ever born. What is eternal will endure. My fear, writhing deep in my paranoid brain stem, is that our technocratic rulers, sweating over flawed calculations, are willing to huck us into the mulchers long before our time. God will not be mocked. Nor will Mother Nature. I’m certain that, in the course of time, every billionaire cyborg and half-retarded upload will shuffle off this mortal coil. Unfortunately, I also suspect they’d happily push the rest of us offstage while they do their apocalyptic jig.

Edward Snowden Gets Russian Citizenship

Putin approves Snowden's Russian Citizenship application. https://edwardsnowden.substack.com/ https://twitter.com/snowden https://edwardsnowden.substack.com/p/americas-open-wound https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250237231/permanentrecord Unfortunately the US will still be able to, and indeed will, abduct him from far too many global vacation spots. #FreeSnowden #FreeAssange “They who can treat secretly of the affairs of a nation have it absolutely under their authority; and as they plot against the enemy in time of war, so do they against the citizens in time of peace.” ― Baruch Spinoza Did you know that whistleblowers are sentenced to more time in prison than corrupt officials who trade secrets for sex—more time than even actual spies? The government has made *telling* the truth a greater crime than *selling* it. Continuing Ed — with Edward Snowden America’s Open Wound The CIA is not your friend Edward Snowden Sep 20 “Better that right counsels be known to enemies than that the evil secrets of tyrants should be concealed from the citizens. They who can treat secretly of the affairs of a nation have it absolutely under their authority; and as they plot against the enemy in time of war, so do they against the citizens in time of peace.” ― Baruch Spinoza It hasn’t been a month since President Biden mounted the steps of Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, declaring it his duty to ensure each of us understands the central faction of his political opposition are extremists that “threaten the very foundations of our Republic.” Flanked by the uniformed icons of his military and standing atop a Leni Riefenstahl stage, the leader clenched his fists to illustrate seizing the future from the forces of “fear, division, and darkness.” The words falling from the teleprompter ran rich with the language of violence, a “dagger at the throat” emerging from the “shadow of lies.” “What’s happening in our country,” the President said, “is not normal.” Is he wrong to think that? The question the speech intended to raise—the one lost in the unintentionally villainous pageantry—is whether and how we are to continue as a democracy and a nation of laws. For all the Twitter arguments over Biden’s propositions, there has been little consideration of his premises. Democracy and the rule of law have been so frequently invoked as a part of the American political brand that we simply take it for granted that we enjoy both. Are we right to think that? Our glittering nation of laws observes this year two birthdays: the 70th anniversary of the National Security Agency, on which my thoughts have been recorded, and the 75th anniversary of the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA was founded in the wake of the 1947 National Security Act. The Act foresaw no need for the Courts and Congress to oversee a simple information-aggregation facility, and therefore subordinated it exclusively to the President, through the National Security Council he controls. Within a year, the young agency had already slipped the leash of its intended role of intelligence collection and analysis to establish a covert operations division. Within a decade, the CIA was directing the coverage of American news organizations, overthrowing democratically elected governments (at times merely to benefit a favored corporation), establishing propaganda outfits to manipulate public sentiment, launching a long-running series of mind-control experiments on unwitting human subjects (purportedly contributing to the creation of the Unabomber), and—gasp—interfering with foreign elections. From there, it was a short hop to wiretapping journalists and compiling files on Americans who opposed its wars. In 1963, no less than former President Harry Truman confessed that the very agency he personally signed into law had transformed into something altogether different than he intended, writing: “For some time I have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble…” Many today comfort themselves by imagining that the Agency has been reformed, and that such abuses are relics of the distant past, but what few reforms our democracy has won have been watered-down or compromised. The limited “Intelligence Oversight” role that was eventually conceded to Congress in order to placate the public has never been taken seriously by either the committee’s majority—which prefers cheerleading over investigating—or by the Agency itself, which continues to conceal politically-sensitive operations from the very group most likely to defend them. "Congress should have been told," said [Senator] Dianne Feinstein. "We should have been briefed before the commencement of this kind of sensitive program. Director Panetta... was told that the vice president had ordered that the program not be briefed to Congress." How can we judge the ultimate effectiveness of oversight and reforms? Well, the CIA plotted to assassinate my friend, American whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, in 1972, yet nearly fifty years of “reforms” did little to inhibit them from recently sketching out another political murder targeting Julian Assange. Putting that in perspective, you probably own shoes older than the CIA’s most recent plot to murder a dissident... or rather the most recent plot that we know of. If you believe the Assange case to be a historical anomaly, some aberration unique to Trump White House, recall that the CIA’s killings have continued in series across administrations. Obama ordered the killing of an American far from any battlefield, and killed his 16 year-old American son a few weeks later, but the man’s American daughter was still alive by the time Obama left. Within a month of entering the White House, Trump killed her. She was 8 years old. Nawar al-Awlaki It goes beyond assassinations. Within recent memory, the CIA captured Gul Rahman, who we know was not Al-Qaeda, but it seems did save the life of Afghanistan’s future (pro-US) President. Rahman was placed in what the Agency described as a “dungeon” and tortured until he died. They stripped him naked, save a diaper he couldn’t change, in a cold so wicked that his guards, in their warm clothes, ran heaters for themselves. In absolute darkness, they bolted his hands and feet to a single point on the floor with a very short chain so that it was impossible to stand or lie down – a practice called “short shackling” – and after he died, claimed that it was for his own safety. They admit to beating him, even describing the “forceful punches.” They describe the blood that ran from his nose and mouth as he died. Short-shackling, as described by survivors Pages later, in their formal conclusion, the Agency declares that there was no evidence of beating. There was no of evidence torture. The CIA ascribes responsibility for his death to hypothermia, which they blamed on him for the crime of refusing, on his final night, a meal from the men that killed him. The CIA claimed the complaints of a man they tortured to death — regarding the violation of his human rights — were evidence of a “sophisticated level of resistance training.” In the aftermath, the Agency concealed the death of Gul Rahman from his family. To this day, they refuse to reveal what happened to his remains, denying those who survive him a burial, or even some locus of mourning. Ten years after the torture program investigated, exposed, and ended, no one was charged for their role in these crimes. The man responsible for Rahman’s death was recommended for a $2,500 cash award — for “consistently superior work”. A different torturer was elevated to the Director’s seat. The Judgment of Solomon, Rubens, 1617 This summer, in a speech marking the occasion of the CIA's 75th birthday, President Biden struck a quite different note than he did in Philadelphia, reciting what the CIA instructs all presidents: that the soul of the institution really lies in speaking truth to power. “We turn to you with the big questions,” Biden said, “the hardest questions. And we count on you to give your best, unvarnished assessment of where we are. And I emphasize ‘unvarnished.’” But this itself is a variety of varnishing — a whitewash. For what reason do we aspire to maintain — or achieve — a nation of laws, if not to establish justice? Let us say we have a democracy, shining and pure. The people, or in our case some subset of people, institute reasonable laws to which government and citizen alike must answer. The sense of justice that arises within such a society is not produced as a result of the mere presence of law, which can be tyrannical and capricious, or even elections, which face their own troubles, but is rather derived from the reason and fairness of the system that results. What would happen if we were to insert into this beautiful nation of laws an extralegal entity that is not directed by the people, but a person: the President? Have we protected the nation’s security, or have we placed it at risk? This is the unvarnished truth: the establishment of an institution charged with breaking the law within a nation of laws has mortally wounded its founding precept. >From the year it was established, Presidents and their cadres have regularly directed the CIA to go beyond the law for reasons that cannot be justified, and therefore must be concealed — classified. The primary result of the classification system is not an increase in national security, but a decrease in transparency. Without meaningful transparency, there is no accountability, and without accountability, there is no learning. The consequences have been deadly, for both Americans and our victims. When the CIA armed the Mujaheddin to wage war on Soviet Afghanistan, we created al-Qaeda’s Osama bin Laden. Ten years later, the CIA is arming, according to then-Vice President Joe Biden, "al-Nusra, and Al-Qaeda and the extremist elements of jihadis coming from other parts of the world." After the CIA runs a disinformation operation to make life hard for the Soviet Union by fueling a little proxy war, the war rages for twenty-six years — far beyond the Union’s collapse. Do you believe that the CIA today — a CIA free from all consequence and accountability — is uninvolved in similar activities? Can you find no presence of their fingerprints in the events of the world, as described in the headlines, that provide cause for concern? Yet it is those who question the wisdom of placing a paramilitary organization beyond the reach of our courts that are dismissed as “naive.” For 75 years, the American people have been unable to bend the CIA to fit the law, and so the law has been bent to fit the CIA. As Biden stood on the crimson stage, at the site where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and adopted, his words rang out like the cry of a cracked-to-hell Liberty Bell: “What's happening in our country is not normal.” If only that were true. Raids: Anonymous Safety Deposit Box US Private Vaults, FBI Illegal General Warrants

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-04-02/fbi-beverly-hills-vault… FBI Raids Business Renting Anonymous Safety Deposit Boxes, Forces Customers To Reveal Identity To Get Stuff Back In a case that's already sparked one lawsuit, a Beverly Hills strip mall business which rents private, anonymous safe deposit boxes was raided by the FBI last month - at which time the agency conducted a blanket seizure of hundreds of customers' belongings. Federal agents relied on informants and at least one undercover officer to gather information about transactions that took place at U.S. Private Vaults. (Irfan Khan / Los Angeles Times) To retrieve their valuables, customers will need to "identify themselves and subject themselves to an investigation to verify their legal ownership," according to the Los Angeles Times, which noted that one customer has already gone to court claiming that the government overreached by confiscating the contents of every security box. The company, U.S. Private Vaults, has been accused of laundering money for drug dealers - who anonymously stashed guns, drugs and cash. In an indictment against U.S. Private Vaults, Inc., the U.S. attorney for Los Angeles accused the company of marketing itself deliberately to attract criminals, saying it brazenly promoted itself as a place customers could store valuables with confidence that tax authorities would be hard-pressed to learn their identities or what was stored in their locked boxes. To access the facility, customers needed no identification; it took just an eye and hand scan to unlock the door. “We don’t even want to know your name,” it advertised, according to prosecutors. -Los Angeles Times The feds used "multiple informants and at least one undercover police officer who posed as customers" to surveil the store and gather information about its customers. One of the company's owners and several employees are accused of being involved in drug sales that took place at the business, as well as helping customers to convert cash into gold in a way that would avoid suspicion. Of note, U.S. Private Vaults shared a storefront with Gold Business - named as a co-conspirator in the indictment - which is accused of helping customers convert cash into gold to avoid having to report currency transactions which exceed $10,000. A sign taped to the front door of U.S. Private Vaults instructs customers on how to recover their possessions. (Irfan Khan / Los Angeles Times) In the March 9 indictment that was unsealed Friday, a federal grand jury charged U.S. Private Vaults with three counts of conspiracy — to launder money, distribute narcotics and structure cash transactions to dodge detection. None of the people who are allegedly behind the operation were named in the court records. It is was not immediately clear whether any individuals will face criminal charges as well. -Los Angeles Times The FBI and Drug Enforcement Agency took five days to go through and process all the boxes after the raid began on March 22, according to court documents. US prosecutors argued on Friday that while the original warrant remains under seal, the magistrate judge who approved it thought that the sweeping seizures were appropriate. "The government seized the nests of safety deposit boxes because there was overwhelming evidence that USPV was a criminal business that conspired with its criminal clients to distribute drugs, launder money, and structure transactions to avoid currency reporting requirements, among other offenses," prosecutors claimed in papers filed in Los Angeles federal court. According to prosecutors, the raid produced an unspecified number of weapons, fentanyl, OxyContin, and "huge stacks of $100 bills" which were flagged by drug-sniffing dogs. One box reportedly had $1 million in cash. The indictment was unsealed on Friday - just one hour before a court-issued deadline to respond to a lawsuit brought by a US Private Vaults customers who alleged that the blanket seizure was unconstitutional. The unnamed customer, listed in court papers as John Doe, said the search warrant should not have authorized seizure of the jewelry, currency and bullion that he kept in his three boxes at U.S. Private Vaults, because there was no probable cause to suspect the person committed a crime. “Just as the tenant of each apartment controls that space and therefore has a reasonable expectation of privacy in it, each of the hundreds of renters of safety deposit boxes ... has a separate reasonable expectation of privacy in his or her separately controlled box or boxes,” the person’s attorney, Benjamin N. Gluck, wrote in the complaint. -Los Angeles Times The customer seeks to stop the FBI from requiring anonymous customers to reveal themselves and undergo an investigation to verify legal ownership of their valuables - with attorney Benjamin Gluck arguing that the government is holding his client's goods "hostage" until he identifies himself. Gluck pointed to a statement by assistant US Attorney Andrew Brown describing the procedure for retrieving valuables. "Though Mr. Brown perhaps deserves credit for his candor, his announced plan is grossly improper and manifestly unconstitutional," wrote Gluck, noting that Brown had previously conceded in court papers that some US Private Vaults customers were "honest citizens to whom the government wishes to return their property." "But the majority of the box holders are criminals who used USPV’s anonymity to hide their ill-gotten wealth," he wrote. "To distinguish between honest and criminal customers, the government must examine the specific facts of each box and each claim, precisely what the anonymous plaintiff wants to prevent by refusing to disclose not only his identity, but even the specific boxes he claims are his." Federal agents have seized evidence from U.S. Private Vaults, a Beverly Hills business that has been charged with three counts of conspiracy. (Irfan Khan / Los Angeles Times) Beverly Hills attorney Nina Marino, who represents several US Private Vaults clients, said that even if there were some criminal customers, "that does not authorize the government’s conduct in this sweeping action of not only seizing innocent box owners’ property, but viewing that property." "Every single person that paid money on a monthly basis did that with the expectation of maintaining their anonymity, and it’s just outrageous that the government has such low regard for the 4th Amendment and for an individual’s expectation of privacy," she added. UCLA law professor Beth Colgan called the issue "fascinating," adding that the big question is whether the search warrant was based on sufficient probable cause to believe that evidence of criminal wrongdoing would be found in virtually all of the safe deposit boxes. "I would just be very surprised if a judge had approved a warrant that would allow the FBI to go through every single box absent evidence that the entire system was corrupt," said Colgan. "Maybe they have the evidence, and that’s the thing we don’t know."

Voluntaryism: Taxation = Theft , Govt = Slavery , Voting = Violence

https://www.governmentisslavery.com/ https://www.governmentisslavery.com/governmentisslavery.pdf 06/21/2019 Taxation is Theft [1], therefore Government is Slavery [2], therefore Voting is an Act of Violence [3]. IF you IGNORE the empirical factuality of these observations, fail to recognize them to be true by logic and definition, or fail to reach the correct and logical conclusion that: it is immoral, wrong, supremely detestable, etc., to condone or participate in "government", then... I propose this is because you have been BRAINWASHED, dumbed-down and indoctrinated to inhibit or disable even consideration of these ideas, never-mind educate yourself and engage enough thought process to actually understand them -- conditioned to group-think rather than taught how to actually think for yourself. With the conditioned reflex of a fish in a school, or a denizen of 'The Matrix [4]', you will probably argue in defense of the very system of our enslavement to mass murderers and unspeakable evil: "government". This sentiment of suckers, typifying the rampant COWARDICE infecting society, is based on a fear and loathing so very glorified by our "culture" of statism: that of personal responsibility to acknowledge truth and act morally. Your IGNORE-ance of these obvious facts is an insult to the entire human race, including yourself, and is on my list of things that are worth being angry about. But I don't expect many to understand or agree, due to pervasive stupidity. No offense to anyone... After all, 99%+ of people on this madhouse planet are insane, supremely ignorant cowards who will accuse me of being the crazy/stupid one. Wake up. Grow a set. Educate yourself... And whenever any number of men, calling themselves a government, do anything to another man, or to his property, which they had no right to do as individuals, they thereby declare themselves trespassers, robbers, or murderers, according to the nature of their acts." - [65] Lysander Spooner "The belief in "authority," which includes all belief in "government," is irrational and self- contradictory; it is contrary to civilization and morality, and constitutes the most dangerous, destructive superstition that has ever existed. Rather than being a force for order and justice, the belief in "authority" is the arch-enemy of humanity." - [66] Larken Rose, [67] The Most Dangerous Superstition "Those who believe that "Authority" is necessary and that it must continue, have actually been duped into believing that human SLAVERY is necessary and must continue in order to prevent Chaos. Violence and Slavery CAN NOT prevent Chaos. Violence and Slavery ARE Chaos. The Fear of the possibility of Chaos IS the Fear of True Freedom" - Mark Passio [68] WhatOnEarthIsHappening.com "The essence of all slavery consists in taking the product of another's labor by force. It is immaterial whether this force be founded upon ownership of the slave or ownership of the money that he must get to live." - Leo Tolstoy "Through taxation, pacifists are forced at gunpoint to pay for killing machines; vegetarians are forced at gunpoint to subsidize grazing land for cattle; non-smokers are forced at gunpoint to support both the production of tobacco and the research to counter its impact on health." - Dr. Mary Ruwart, [69] Healing Our World "There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want, merely because you think it would be good for him." - Robert A. Heinlein "Naturally the common people don't want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship." - Herman Goering "A people that elect corrupt politicians are not victims... but accomplices." - George Orwell "Voting has become a farce, if indeed it was ever anything else. By voting, the people decide only which of the oligarchs preselected for them as viable candidates will wield the whip used to flog them and will command the legion of willing accomplices who perpetrate the countless violations of the people's natural rights." - [70] Robert Higgs "Having been convinced that "authority" is real, and that by way of it, some human beings have acquired the moral right to initiate violence and commit acts of aggression against others (by way of so-called "laws"), every Democrat, every Republican, every voter, and everyone else who advocates "government" in any form is a proponent of violence and injustice. Of course, they do not see it that way, because their belief in "authority" has warped and perverted their perception of reality." - [71] Larken Rose "The disappearance of a sense of responsibility is the most far-reaching consequence of submission to authority." - [72] Stanley Milgram "Loyal obedience to "authority," while painted by many as a great virtue, is really nothing more than a pathetic attempt to escape the responsibility of being human and reduce oneself to an unthinking, amoral, programmable machine." - [73] Larken Rose "Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hard-headed realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives [abdicate responsibility] to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners." - [74] Edward Abbey "Anarchism: A Philosophy of a new social order based on liberty unrestricted by man-made laws; the theory that all forms of government rest on violence, and are therefore wrong and harmful, as well as unnecessary." - [75] Emma Goldman "The understanding of Natural Law is centered upon bringing our own Conscience into alignment with [76] Objective Morality." - Mark Passio "The thought of how far the human race would have advanced without government simply staggers the imagination." - [77] Doug Casey "To say an anarchist society would be devoid of morality ignores the entire reason people are anarchists. The only reason to be an anarchist is the realization that the state itself is an immoral institution. Anarchism is rooted in a belief in morality." - [78] Fred Autonom "Anarchists did not try to carry out genocide against the Armenians in Turkey; they did not deliberately starve millions of Ukranians; they did not create a system of death camps to kill Jews, gypsies, and Slavs in Europe; they did not fire-bomb scores of large German and Japanese cities and drop nuclear bombs on two of them; they did not carry out a 'Great Leap Forward' that killed scores of millions of Chinese; they did not attempt to kill everybody with any appreciable education in Cambodia; they did not launch one aggressive war after another; they did not implement trade sanctions that killed perhaps 500,000 Iraqi children. In debates between anarchists and statists, the burden of proof clearly should rest on those who place their trust in the state. Anarchy's mayhem is wholly conjectural; the state's mayhem is undeniably, factually horrendous." - [79] Robert Higgs "If you endorse a system of violence and coercion that threatens me with force on a daily basis, and I advocate for the abolition of that system, this is not just some difference of opinion where we can simply agree to disagree. You are actively participating in conspiracy to commit theft, assault, kidnapping and murder. There is no other context in which anybody would find this an acceptable pattern of behavior, the fact that billions of people across the globe allow you to be a willing participant in violent crime doesn't mean that you are entitled to the opinion that violent crime is a good thing, you have no right to be that wrong." - Chris Cantwell "Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves." - [80] Henry David Thoreau "If you personally advocate that I be caged if I don't pay for whatever government things YOU want, please don't pretend to be tolerant, or non-violent, or enlightened, or compassionate. Don't pretend you believe in live and let live, and don't pretend you want peace, freedom, or harmony." - [81] Larken Rose "I wonder how many such men in America would know that Communism, The New Deal, Fascism, Nazism, are merely so-many trade-names for COLLECTIVIST STATISM, like the trade-names for tooth-pastes which are all exactly alike except for the flavouring." - [82] Albert Jay Nock "Democracy is also a form of religion. It is the worship of Jackals by Jackasses." - [83] H. L. Mencken "There can be no socialism without the state, and as long as there is a state, there is socialism. The state then is the very institution that puts socialism into action; and as socialism rests on aggressive violence directed against innocent victims, aggressive violence is the nature of any state." [84] Hans-Hermann Hoppe "Taxation of earnings from labor is on par with forced labor. Seizing the results of someone's labor is equivalent to seizing hours from him and directing him to carry on various activities." - [85] Robert Nozick "Interestingly, even those who talk about "representative government" refuse to accept any personal responsibility for actions taken by those for whom they voted. If their candidate of choice enacts a harmful "law," or raises "taxes," or wages war, the voters never feel the same guilt or shame they would feel if they themselves had personally done such things, or had hired or instructed someone else to do such things. This fact demonstrates that even the most enthusiastic voters do not actually believe the rhetoric about "representative government," and do not view politicians as their representatives." - [86] Larken Rose "...the American government you see today is exactly what its designers wanted when they designed it, and the excuses given by American "patriots" not to burn it to the ground today are the same weak excuses they gave at every stage of its development since 1787. The Constitution of the United States of America was and is a document of enslavement intended to fool the weak minded while pacifying those who possess the moral fortitude and intelligence to stand up to tyranny." - [87] Sedition, Subversion and Sabotage Field Manual No. 1 [88] fb.com/BadQuakerDotCom "Political parties are disease vectors. They are hybrid cocktails of the milgram experiment and the stockholm syndrome with a strong police state chaser to set the virus in place. The virus is used to render an otherwise healthy ecology of spontaneous order into a shambling and largely inefficient engine for selecting a group of controllers to benefit at the expense of the whole. It is no more complex than that." - [89] zerogov.com What makes sex not rape? Consent. What makes a job not slavery? Consent. What makes taxation not theft? War, Drug War, GMO Subsidies, Surveillance, Police Brutality, Common Core, Roads. "Mutualism is applicable to every human relations. Throughout the whole gamut of existence, from birth to death, mutuality -- voluntary association for reciprocal action -- is everywhere and at every moment waiting to solve every problem of social intercourse, to decide every issue that arises in commerce and industry. In order to practice mutualism, it is necessary to name only two conditions; that the non-invasive individual shall not be coerced, and that no part of the product of any one's labor shall be taken from him without his consent. With those negative generalizations thus postulated, thereby affirming the sovereignty of the individual, therefrom flows naturally the positive and constructive corollary -- reciprocity; which implies individual initiative, free contract, and voluntary association." - Clarence Lee Swartz, [90] The Practicability of Mutualism "Those who advocate either slavery or income taxation should be ashamed of themselves. Genuine freedom entails the abolition, not the reform, of income taxation and the IRS, just as genuine freedom entailed the abolition, not the reform, of slavery." - [91] Jacob G. Hornberger "Freedom is the societal condition that exists when every individual has 100% control of his own property." - [92] Andrew Joseph Galambos "Statement of Purpose: Voluntaryists are advocates of non-political, non-violent strategies to achieve a free society. We reject electoral politics, in theory and in practice, as incompatible with libertarian principles. Governments must cloak their actions in an aura of moral legitimacy in order to sustain their power, and political methods invariably strengthen that legitimacy.Voluntaryists seek instead to delegitimize the State through education, and we advocate withdrawal of the cooperation and tacit consent on which State power ultimately depends." - [93] voluntaryist.com "You assist an evil system most effectively by obeying its orders and following its decrees. An evil system never deserves such allegiance. Allegiance to it means partaking of the evil. A good person will resist an evil system with his or her whole soul." - Mahatma Gandhi "The system cannot be fixed by the system." - Tom Morello "The most dangerous thing you can do is educate people. Because when people become educated, you cannot control them, you cannot frighten them. People who are educated know their own power, and don't surrender it to others." - [94] Jordan Maxwell "Our countries are corporations and the world is a business controlled by a small group of untouchable banking families. The laws that control our society have been meticulously structured over thousands of years to protect the corporations, while giving us the illusion that we are free. We, the people, are blissfully ignorant that we are the slaves and the assets of those who control the business. It is time to wake up and free ourselves. Nobody will do this for us. The universe awaits our action, so that it can respond through the law of attraction, and welcome humanity into the universal community of beings of higher consciousness." - Michael Tellinger, [95] UBUNTU Contributionism "Using these new and old technologies, dissent and original thought are being ripped from us. Traditions of individual sovereignty and freedom are being expunged from our minds and from the history books. And, due to the multitude of anesthetics we have been shot up with, we don't feel a thing. If we do not succeed in stopping the Controllers, ultimately the only people left will be the marching morons, the gullible, and those so apathetic as to have entirely forgotten that freedom can exist." - Jim Keith, [96] Mass Control: Engineering Human Consciousness PDF of this page: [97] GovenrmentIsSlavery.com/governmentisslavery.pdf References 1. http://exploreistaxationtheft.com/ 2. http://strike-the-root.com/government-is-not-civilization-it-is-slavery 3. http://forejustice.org/vote/voting_is_an_act_of_violence.htm 4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaDqNDLpZa8 5. http://www.triviumeducation.com/ 6. http://www.voluntaryist.com/ 7. http://www.whatonearthishappening.com/ 8. https://www.corbettreport.com/corbett-report-documentaries 9. http://www.tragedyandhope.com/ 10. http://www.logosmedia.com/ 11. http://www.notbeinggoverned.com/ 12. http://www.agorism.info/ 13. http://www.liberty.me/ 14. http://www.c4ss.org/ 15. http://www.mises.org/ 16. http://www.theconsciousresistance.com/ 17. http://www.thefreethoughtproject.com/ 18. http://www.libertarianinstitute.org/ 19. http://www.bravetheworld.com/ 20. http://www.theanarchistlibrary.org/ 21. http://www.mindbendingtruth.com/ 22. http://www.mises.org/profile/murray-n-rothbard 23. http://www.sek3.net/ 24. http://archive.org/details/EndOfAllEvil 25. http://bastiat.org/en 26. https://fee.org/people/tom-g-palmer 27. http://brucelevine.net/ 28. http://dollarvigilante.com/ 29. http://ronpaulinstitute.org/ 30. http://thepholosopher.com/ 31. http://www.facebook.com/firstanarchyball 32. http://thecrowhouse.com/home.html 33. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cody_Wilson 34. http://tomwoods.com/ 35. http://archive.org/details/nonedarecallitconspiracy_201904 36. http://libcom.org/files/Fire%20in%20the%20Minds%20of%20Men.pdf 37. http://www.michaeltsarion.com/ 38. http://archive.org/search.php?query=g%20edward%20griffin 39. http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/ 40. http://gbt.org/text/sayers.html 41. http://wakeup-world.com/category/contributing-writers/ethan-indigo-smith 42. http://archive.org/details/Tavistock_201601 43. http://archive.org/details/TheFranklinCover-upByFormerGreenBeretJohnDecamp 44. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW6Y-93gl0w 45. http://mirrors.wordsforgood.org/educate-yourself.org/tg/index.html 46. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-LsHRalB1Yci 47. http://archive.org/details/BeholdAPaleHorseMiltonWilliamCooper 48. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSc_IlFBWkw 49. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgI0liAee4s 50. http://nakamotoinstitute.org/authors/timothy-c-may 51. http://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Satoshi_Nakamoto 52. http://www.infowars.com/ 53. http://www.davidicke.com/ 54. http://darkjournalist.com/ 55. http://twitter.com/hashtag/trutherbot 56. http://www.thevinnyeastwoodshow.com/ 57. http://twitter.com/youranonnews 58. http://brovids.com/ 59. http://jamesfetzer.org/ 60. http://daviddfriedman.com/ 61. https://mises.org/profile/edward-stringham 62. http://www.bcaplan.com/ 63. http://www.stephankinsella.com/ 64. https://www.youtube.com/user/AdamKokesh/videos 65. https://mises.org/profile/lysander-spooner 66. http://www.larkenrose.com/ 67. https://www.mensenrechten.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/the-most-dangerous… 68. http://www.whatonearthishappening.com/ 69. https://archive.org/details/HealingOurWorldTheCompassionOfLibertarianismHow… 70. https://mises.org/profile/robert-higgs 71. http://www.larkenrose.com/ 72. https://www.simplypsychology.org/milgram.html 73. http://www.larkenrose.com/ 74. http://www.abbeyweb.net/ 75. https://theanarchistlibrary.org/category/author/emma-goldman 76. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpsToEHuQAU 77. https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=Doug+Casey+quotes 78. https://twitter.com/frednomasters 79. https://mises.org/profile/robert-higgs 80. https://www.ibiblio.org/ebooks/Thoreau/Civil%20Disobedience.pdf 81. http://www.larkenrose.com/ 82. https://mises.org/profile/albert-jay-nock 83. https://fee.org/articles/12-hl-mencken-quotes-on-government-democracy-and-p… 84. http://www.hanshoppe.com/ 85. https://www.iep.utm.edu/nozick/ 86. http://www.larkenrose.com/ 87. https://badquaker.com/ 88. https://www.facebook.com/BadQuakerDotCom 89. http://zerogov.com/ 90. https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/clarence-lee-swartz-the-practicabil… 91. https://www.fff.org/blog/ 92. http://voluntaryist.com/how-i-became-a-voluntaryist/charles-r-estes/ 93. http://www.voluntaryist.com/ 94. https://jordanmaxwellshow.com/blog/about/ 95. https://the-eye.eu/public/concen.org/Anunnaki%20and%20Ancient%20Hidden%20Te… 96. https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/32717602/Mass_Control_-_Jim_Keith 97. https://www.governmentisslavery.com/governmentisslavery.pdf http://governmentisslavery.com/blog/ http://governmentisslavery.com/forum/
