i wonder if i can use the adapter finetuning stuff to feel like i am moving forward on the semibalanced trees a little i'm imagining a model that mutates code in a way that is helpful: stabilising it, simplifying it, anything helpful for the goal if the code were small enough, it might fit right into a language model. there may even be long-context language models on huggingface, like transformers-xl, that adapter transformers could just load right up

And the Rat's silly repeated claims actually turn out to have made zero successful attack on either ZEC or XMR or any other strong privacy coin's privacy. That's what whitepapers and sourcecode are for... use them, to prove privacy, or not, openly to the world. Fanboi'ism and Maxis infesting any crypto are dangerous, especially when it is regarding privacy. Bitcoin-BTC is obviously compromised by that action, as are GovBankCorp CBDC Digital Fiat Coins and all of today's Fiat systems. Monero is well known to be infested with Fanbois expressing elements of Maxi'ism, which is obvious, and thus not to its benefit. That op diverts resource cycles, perhaps covertly and maliciously, away from proper public studies of the papers and codes, and away from the continued open competitive development of strong privacy solutions, by suggesting everything is fine just rest on it. That's bad. Cryptographically strong coin privacy means roughly 2^128-bit equivalence or better... not some lame 2^8 traceable shufflepuck over clearnet. USGov put at least a $500k AP contract hit out on Monero privacy, look it up. This implies they think a general break is possible for that amount and that takers will appear there. That's bad... and is definitely not a comfortable minimum market anyone should be racing to adopt into. Raise cost of privacy break to $100M per each false/political prosecution, then you might be able to consider that a start to a worthy privacy coin. There is no privacy-enabled coin that comes close to that level of assurance yet. Coin privacy is still early days. Best get to work on that. To the winners... privacy :)

Back in 2015, the NSA announced plans to transition to quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms in preparation for the time when quantum computers make it possible to access data encrypted by current algorithms, such as AES and RSA. No one is quite sure when that may occur but it depends on the number of qubits – quantum bits – that a quantum machine can muster, and other factors, such as error correction. Researchers at Google and in Sweden last year suggested it should be possible to factor a 2,048-bit integer in an RSA cryptosystem in about eight hours, given a 20 million-qubit quantum computer. Researchers in France claim it should be possible to factor 2,048-bit RSA integers in 177 days with 13,436 qubits and multimode memory. Current quantum computers have orders of magnitude fewer qubits than they need to be cryptographically relevant. IBM recently unveiled a 127-qubit quantum processor. The IT giant says it is aiming to produce a 1,000-qubit chip by the end of 2023 and its roadmap places machines of more than 1 million qubits in an unidentified time period. The Jülich Supercomputing Center (JSC) and D-Wave Systems have a 5,000-qubit machine. Not all qubits are equal however.
