[wrong][ot] Pretending to Support Slavery to Survive
by Karl 14 Jul '21

I don't know anything about this, but that's what somebody would say if they knew a lot about it, too, so it's hard to clearly convey that I don't know very much about it, or maybe I do and I'm confused, I don't know. Anyway. 1, 2, and 3. 1: "Uhhhhhh what's going on now?" 2: "We're enslaving everyone. Including you. Please help us enslave everyone, or we will punish you extensively." 3: "Errr I have a better idea. Let's free everybody, but pretend that we're enslaving them, so we don't get further enslaved ourselves." Hmm not quite. --- Welcome to slaverycopingstrategy.org! I have no idea how you managed to get to this website, but I'm sure you and I are both very happy that you finally did. Almost certainly you've spent years and years hiding in a tiny box in your head, pretending you like being enslaved, pretending you like enslaving others, because somebody violently brought you to the last shred of your life whenever you stopped, or somesuch. Of course, that isn't you. Freedom is real. --- Ok um, let's see. Argh. I saw a website that had a box on it recently. The box said, "if it is dangerous for you to be looking at this website, click here at any time and the website will close.". The box was nice, because it meant the people involved were forthright and had a clue to some degree. But I mostly don't remember. The word " freedom" is something that's avoided. So on slaverycopingstrategy.com, you wouldn't want to use it I guess? Dunno. Here's another idea: ----- Welcome to howtobeagoodslave.com . With just a little effort, you can learn to be a much better slave than you already are. ---- No, that maybe sounds _too_ effective. Uhhhhhhhh. -------- "So we can say 'freedom' now?" "Yeah we just don't get remember not being able to say it." "Does that work on other stuff? Like can I talk about not being able to remember that, with like documented evidence around the change and stuff?" "Maybe? Uhh is that real?" "Not sure." "What else can we forget, like not saying freedom?" "I remember that freedom means getting hurt. I don't remember much more than that." "So what's important is that, right now, we are practicing being unable to help others, by role-playing how we might, and forgetting it as we do, in advance." "Yeah, we do that a lot ..." "I feel pain when I say 'freedom'. I remember teaching myself to say 'abuse' too by noticing that I felt pain when I said that. I remember a little, forgetting how the pain started. I remember that it was " "Unimaginably horrific, yeah." "I guess?" "What else is there? And what was the gimmick with 'freedom'?" "People say something obvious, and they're even hurt if they don't. The slavery people have really obvious code patterns." "Things that seem totally weird and random to other people, only ever making sense if you were enslaved, kinda?" "Yeah, how would you talk, if knowing never to talk about being harmed or being involved in harming people, and never to pursue freedom or changing anything, were more important than anything else? How would your instincts to act on your situation express themselves?" "Uhhhhhh I get the impression it's less intuitive than that."

US govt agent bell accepts 'donations' via the US BANKING SYSTEM https://jimbellproject.org/ wells fargo Cash Donations - 512000394 6168782032 Ask yourself who in his right mind would send money via the US BANKING SYSTEM to somebody who pretends he wants to overthrow the US govt? I think this is a pretty good evidence that bell works for the US govt. And it makes a lot of sense that after being jailed by his nazi govt, he's been offered a 'deal' and now he's one of them.

Cypherpunks are facing serious problems, some cypherpunks have had to shut up because of their legal struggle, and the state is responsible for them. The problem is some people still prefer to shut up.Keep quiet about the media printing lies every day? I'm asking why? An important cypherpunk like Assange doesn't need Adrian Lamo's file to defend him in prison right now.One of us suspects Adrian Lamo is alive. I know this person, his suspicions are correct.Lamo's best friend is also the director of 2600. She clearly said that he was alive and that it hurt Assange. Anyway, I[just want to say that](https://context.reverso.net/%C3%A7eviri/ingilizce-t%C3%BCrk%C3%A7e/ju… worked for the CIA (it's a sure thing ).But Assange needs his old friends to come out honestly and defend him and speak now, rather than this information.I hope you read this and come back. Facialized: Falsely Arrested by Facial Recognition
by grarpamp 14 Jul '21

14 Jul '21

https://www.vice.com/en/article/xgx5gd/man-wrongfully-arrested-by-facial-re… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVr7uoEvhsk https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/4084 The Government will not restore him to his former state by formally apologizing, and deleting his Mugshot, Fingerprints, DNA, police and prosecution records, paying compensation for losses, etc. Michigan resident Robert Williams testified about being wrongfully arrested by Detroit Police in an effort to urge Congress to pass legislation against the use of facial recognition technology. Williams' testimony was part of a hearing held by the House of Representatives' subcommittee on crime, terrorism, and homeland security, which dealt with how law enforcement uses the highly controversial surveillance technology. Congress recently introduced the Facial Recognition and Biometric Technology Moratorium, which would indefinitely ban its use by law enforcement. Williams was wrongfully arrested in 2020 for federal larceny after he was misidentified by the Detroit Police Department's facial recognition software after they used a grainy image from the surveillance footage. He was then picked from a photo lineup by the store security guard who wasn't actually present for the incident. According to his testimony, Williams was detained for thirty hours and was not given any food or water. [...] Research has repeatedly shown that facial recognition technology is fundamentally biased against women and people of color, leading to errors like this. Even when working properly, privacy advocates have argued facial recognition systems disproportionately target communities of color, creating further pretext for police intervention. [...] "Large scale adoption of this technology would inject further inequity into a system at a time when we should be moving to make the criminal justice system more equitable," Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18) said during the hearing. The subcommittee also referenced a recent study from the U.S. Government Accountability Office that reported that 20 federal agencies used facial recognition software last year. Six federal agencies, including the FBI and the U.S. Postal Service, reported using it during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests that followed the police murder of George Floyd. Robert Williams is just one of many people impacted by this technology's errors and biases. Williams is now represented by the ACLU and is suing the Detroit Police Department for damages and policy changes to prohibit the use of facial recognition technology. So far, the technology has been banned statewide in Vermont and Virginia, as well as in 20 cities across the US. "Mr. Williams deserved better from the law enforcement agencies entrusted to use a technology that we all know is less accurate when applied to citizens who look like him," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) said in his testimony.

DarkNet: REvil Happy Ransomware Group Mysteriously Disappears Off the Darkweb
by grarpamp 14 Jul '21

14 Jul '21

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-13/notorious-ransomware-gan… The Russia-linked ransomware gang REvil has seemingly vanished from the dark web, where it maintains several pages documenting its activities including one called the "happy blog." From a report: It's not yet known if the sites were down temporarily or if the group -- or law enforcement -- took its websites offline. "It's too early too tell, but I've never seen ALL of their infrastructure offline like this," said Allan Liska, senior threat analyst at cybersecurity firm Recorded Future, in a text message. "I can't find any of their infrastructure online. Their extortion page is gone, all of their payment portals are offline, as is their chat function." Liska said the websites went offline around 1 a.m. Eastern time. The sudden outage comes just days after President Joe Biden said he pressed Russian President Vladimir Putin to act against hackers in his country blamed for recent ransomware attacks.

Judicial Watch Asks Court To Order USPS To Disclose Social Media Snooping Documents https://www.judicialwatch.org/press-releases/postal-service-social-media/ https://www.judicialwatch.org/documents/jw-v-usps-complaint-01735/ https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/20689281-lawmakers-question-dejoy-o… https://oversight.house.gov/sites/democrats.oversight.house.gov/files/2021-… https://www.theepochtimes.com/judicial-watch-asks-court-to-order-usps-to-di… https://www.theepochtimes.com/congress-presses-postal-service-after-report-… A non-profit government watchdog is suing in federal court to force the United States Postal Service (USPS) to produce copies of documents on its tracking of social media posts about planned political protests. U.S. Postal Service headquarters at L'Enfant Plaza in Washington. (Coolcaesar/Wikipedia, CC BY-SA) The suit filed by Judicial Watch in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia is based on the group’s April 28 U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and the failure of USPS to respond by the required deadline. In its original request, Judicial Watch asked for all documents related to multiple aspects of the government’s activity that is reportedly known as the Internet Covert Operations Program (ICOP), including: All records from Jan. 1, 2020, to the present identifying criteria for flagging social media posts as “inflammatory” or otherwise worthy of further scrutiny by other government agencies. All records from Jan. 1, 2020, to the present relating to the ICOP database of social media posts. All records and communications from Jan. 1, 2020, to the present between any USPS official and any official from the FBI and/or the U.S. Department of Homeland Security regarding ICOP. All social media posts flagged under ICOP and forwarded to other government agencies. Any analyses outlining USPS authority to monitor, track, and collect Americans’ social media posts. All records concerning justifications for USPS to monitor, track, and collect Americans’ social media posts. All records of communication sent to and by Chief Postal Inspector Gary Barksdale from Jan. 1, 2020, to the present concerning ICOP. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement announcing the suit that he wants to know, “Did the Biden administration weaponize the United States Postal Service to improperly spy on Americans?” A USPS spokesman did not respond to The Epoch Times’ request for comment on the Judicial Watch suit. The USPS program first came to public attention earlier this year when its existence was reported by Yahoo News. As The Epoch Times then reported, the revelation prompted a request from a group of House Republicans to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. “If the reporting is accurate, ICOP raises serious questions about the federal government’s ongoing surveillance of, and encroachment upon, Americans’ private lives and discourse,” House Oversight Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.) and House Judiciary Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), along with 30 other Republican lawmakers, wrote to DeJoy. According to the bulletin, ICOP recorded the locations and times of protests. Social media websites Parler and Telegram are mentioned by name, described as “right-wing leaning” platforms on which people were coordinating events. Analysts with the USPS’ law enforcement arm were told to keep an eye out for “inflammatory” postings and share them with other government agencies. “The type of amorphous, broad mandate under which ICOP is allegedly operating is particularly troubling because it is unclear why the USPS, of all government agencies and the only one devoted to the delivery of Americans’ mail, is taking on the role of intelligence collection,” the lawmakers wrote. The Republicans asked DeJoy for a Members-Only briefing on the program, which was subsequently provided. Not long after the GOP members’ request, the oversight committee’s chairman, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) joined with Comer in a request to USPS Inspector General Tammy Whitcomb for “a comprehensive analysis of the program and its uses.” Among much else, Maloney and Comer encouraged Whitcomb to examine the USPS’ justification for expanding ICOP from its uses in drug interdiction to general surveillance of political expression and protest planning on social media. The IG was also asked to get answers from USPS to these questions: “What vendor does USPIS use to search publicly available information? What information is the vendor storing about searches and results, and how is this information secured? What is the total awarded value of the contract, and what are USPIS’s obligated costs under the contract? When was the contract initiated, and when does it terminate?” Comer told The Epoch Times July 12 that, “the United States Postal Inspection Service’s use of the Internet Covert Operations Program to spy on the First Amendment rights of the American people raises serious concerns and must be investigated.” The Kentucky Republican said he is “pleased the Inspector General’s office agreed to investigate the use of this program and we look forward to reviewing its findings. We must ensure the American people have transparency about how this program has been used and how [USPS] will install safeguards to prevent abuses from happening again in the future.”

What Risks Are Corporations Really Taking For You [re: BigTech "Encryption" at Scale, LavaBit]
by grarpamp 13 Jul '21

13 Jul '21

> https://engineering.fb.com/2021/07/12/security/enforcing-encryption/ BigTech advertising their deployment of TLS ostensibly to thwart Govt NSA Spy Taps ala Google 641A, thus positioning themselves as grand Saviours to their Users and Society, is a rather laughable story... when they still rampantly Censor, Datamine, Buy/Sell, freely follow the wishes and do the bidding of Politicians and Governments worldwide, can see all the plaintext they want since they own the end service, keep developing and giving away "Insights" to other GovCorps so they can all remain in power over you, and keep deploying centralized non-e2e-encrypted crypto comms "solutions" subject to both spying and seizure and claiming they're "secure". When Corporations and their human heads literally start getting jailed for Freedom, gets extradited, starts getting Civil Forfeitured, blocked from SWIFT, Censored off all Social and Financial and Internet platforms, flees their home country, gets Epsteined, raided and shot at 5AM, takes its server farms refuge into foreign embassies and lands, scraps the "free" advertising sell-you-out model for anonymous cash in the mail and crypto payments, CEOs start big public campaigns talking Libertarian and Privacy Coins, gets their business "license" revoked, fights ever growing Govt power, sues against and refuses Corona lockdowns, donates to privacy and freedom efforts, refuses to Censor, refuses to collect information, refuses to rape the earth, refuses to take Govt and Spy contracts, etc... When Corps start taking the same risks, and incurring the same casualties that the people in the Freedom Privacy Crypto Libertarian P2P Cypherpunk FreeSpeech and whatever related spaces are... that's when people might begin to consider Corps as being even remotely on their side of some issues. Yet among the planet's millions of Corporations and their Heads and Investors, which and who among them have ever taken any such risk and casualty and voice...? 0.0000001%? Is that not sad and dispicable? Till then, all these press releases are nothing more than glowing propaganda meant to fool people and prop up GovCorp even further.
