Cryptocurrency: Saylor's Compliant Utopian Gulag, Long Game Risk

> https://dailyhodl.com/2021/12/26/these-crypto-entrepreneurs-will-be-the-mos… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUuC-NGWc0I Saylor Apologizes Saylor's a fine analyst, of but one vision and outcome. And also the biggest apologist for compliance anti-freedom-FUD GovCorp censorship kyc everything including in social media, and a maxi-hodler and deprecator of dreams. Effectively never mentions anything on freedom, rarely anything positive on competing coins except for central stables, essentially disses OG, etc. No hate, he's reg'd so isn't free until he exits. There's a long game and that's fine, but those playing it are throwing the solid early chance at a win, thus building much greater risk that they'll never get it after appeasing and growing the tentacles that want it all dead.

" Alice certainly isn't in for a very nice time of it " And in light of whats come out since this must be seen as a FEATURE, for the rapist scumbag Asshat, and not a BUG. Thank fuck this rapist criminal is now in a bear-cage where he belongs on Death Row!

So, let’s cut our teeth on the mighty Schnorr signature. This method has the great advantage that we can have multiple signers to a message or a transaction, and end up with a single signature for all the signers. It is now being used in Bitcoin transactions so that we have an efficient signature for a transaction that involves multiple entities. "The patent "In Feb 1989, Claus Schnorr submitted a patent which was assigned to no one. It has 11 claims, and allowed digital signatures to be merged for multiple signers [here]:

Cryptocurrency: MATIC's ZKP Claims to Scale... Debunked
by grarpamp 27 Dec '21

27 Dec '21

https://cointelegraph.com/news/here-s-how-polygon-is-challenging-the-limita… Polygon (MATIC), a layer-two network designed for scaling and application infrastructure development on Ethereum (ETH)... Any coin that depends on and runs on top of a network that is itself nonscalable... is therefore also not scalable. Ethereum does not scale because, like nearly all other coins, it requires an amount of physical storage space that grows without bound over time to store all the transactions. This blows out individual repos thus depending users on non-private sharding lookup schemes, over realtime non-private analyzable internets, into massive storage clouds holding lifetimes of privacy break risks, and that don't need to exist in the first place. Etc. ZKP DAG etc can help create coins whose physical growth is counted by endless transactions, but to limited addresses, a far smaller number, made further smaller due to privacy. Look into making using and adopting a new class of necessarily sans-tx-storage privacy coins. The future belongs to... privacy, sans-tx-storage, crosscoin DEX. Invent the future.

IBM and Samsung unveil semiconductor milestone
by jim bell 27 Dec '21

27 Dec '21

https://www.capacitymedia.com/articles/3830418/ibm-and-samsung-unveil-semic… " IBM and Samsung Electronics have hailed a breakthrough in semiconductor design using a new vertical transistor architecture. The new design demonstrates the potential to scaling beyond nanosheet and has the ability to reduce energy usage by 85% compared to a scaled fin field-effect transistor (finFET). The new comes amid the global semiconductor shortage which has highlighted the need for investment in chip research and development as well as the importance of chips in everything from computing, to appliances, to communication devices, transportation systems, and critical infrastructure. Produced at the Albany Nanotech Complex in Albany, New York, the new vertical transistor breakthrough could help the semiconductor industry continue to deliver significant improvements. These include, mobile phone batteries that could go over a week without being charged; energy intensive processes, such as cryptomining operations and data encryption, could require significantly less energy and have a smaller carbon footprint; as well as the continued expansion of IoT and edge devices with lower energy needs. "Today's technology announcement is about challenging convention and rethinking how we continue to advance society and deliver new innovations that improve life, business and reduce our environmental impact," Dr Mukesh Khare, vice president of hybrid cloud and systems at IBM Research. "Given the constraints the industry is currently facing along multiple fronts, IBM and Samsung are demonstrating our commitment to joint innovation in semiconductor design and a shared pursuit of what we call 'hard tech.'" Traditionally transistors have been built to lie flat upon the surface of a semiconductor, with the electric current flowing laterally, or side-to-side, through them. With new Vertical Transport Field Effect Transistors (VTFET), IBM and Samsung have implemented transistors that are built perpendicular to the surface of the chip with a vertical, or up-and-down, current flow. Using this VTFET process addresses performance barriers and limitations to extend Moore's Law as chip designers attempt to pack more transistors into a fixed space. It also influences the contact points for the transistors, allowing for greater current flow with less wasted energy. Overall, the new design aims to deliver a two times improvement in performance or an 85% reduction in energy use as compared to scaled finFET alternatives.

Google update breaks websites
by jim bell 26 Dec '21

https://nypost.com/2021/12/24/google-warns-2-billion-users-of-update-that-c… "Google has issued a warning to Chrome’s more than two billion users amid fears the browser’s forthcoming update will break a number of websites around the world. "The tech giant announced the news via its Chromium Bug tracker, the codebase for Chrome, and a solution to the issue is currently nowhere in sight. "It’s currently unclear what websites – and how many – are due to be affected by the problem. "Many of those that are will not likely know they’re affected until it’s already too late, experts say. "Users of Chrome should brace themselves for disruption or find another browser to use until the issue is resolved, a Forbes report said. “Based on Google’s current release rate, Chrome Canary users could be facing this decision as soon as next month while the billions of users running the browser’s stable version are looking at a 3-6 month countdown,” the report forecasted.

Cryptocurrency: Freedom Enabled [was: Digital Money and Crimes]
by grarpamp 26 Dec '21

>> https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidbirch/2021/04/14/new-digital-money-new-di… > If the criminals in these examples are fundamentally enabled by smartphones are these plain old crimes or smartphone crimes? Will governments ever allow such devices and services? Crime is as old as humanity, addressed well enough by humanity, nothing to see here but FUD, move along. Then there is the Crime Against Humanity of Governments trying to shutdown Human Freedom. History is rife with them, including all in existance today. Governments have always treated crypto as the conspirator party to Freedom, and thus tried to ban, jail, and kill crypto itself. Cypherpunks push and embed Freedom... strong crypto... harder, faster, farther, deeper, better, to help outpace and shutdown such would be sources of censorship. The actors and forces against freedom are substantial, and the window for freedom is not as wide or long as people think. Distributed private uncensorable permissionless unstoppable anonymous untraceable fungible digital p2p money and crosscoin DEX, etc... that real OG cryptocurrency... *IS* freedom, for you and the world, and not just in the monetary sense. That is why Gov and Corp are universally against it. GovCorp will never build the real shit, so just ignore their distractions, their hype, their job offers, leave them to their Fiat clones, ultimately there is no innovation, no change, no revolutionary Freedom there, no reason to take part in any of that. Cypherpunks job is to design, build, deploy, push, adopt, and use the real shit... now! Bitcoin-BTC was the first, but failed at privacy, thus is not freedom, and thus not crypto revolutionary. Years were wasted down that path. Godspeed real freedom.

Compliant eunuchs missing a chance to get bastinadoed in Turkey

I’m a crypto person. I want to go decentralized, non-compliant. Here’s the issue: is it going to be purest pure-play cryptos that are going to make all the money in the next stage or is it going to be compliant custodial institutions that plug into Bitcoin that are going to make all the money in the next decade? https://dailyhodl.com/2021/12/26/these-crypto-entrepreneurs-will-be-the-mos…
