How to defeat a secret society, a case study
by Ryan Carboni 13 Jan '20

13 Jan '20

Clearly the best way to defeat a secret society is to unceremoniously out their secrets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Superman_(radio_series)#%E2… In 1946, the series delivered a powerful blow against the Ku Klux Klan's prospects in the northern US. The human rights activist Stetson Kennedy infiltrated the KKK and other racist/terrorist groups. Concerned that the organization had links to the government and police forces, Kennedy decided to use his findings to strike at the Klan in a different way. He contacted the Superman producers and proposed a story where the superhero battles the Klan. Looking for new villains, the producers eagerly agreed. To that end, he provided information— including secret codewords and details of Klan rituals—to the writers. The result was a series of episodes, “Clan of the Fiery Cross”, in which Superman took on the Klan. Kennedy intended to strip away the Klan's mystique. The trivialization of the Klan's rituals and codewords had a negative impact on Klan recruiting and membership.

Is it possible for a group of people with unannounced affiliations to hijack the policy apparatus for their own ends? Probably. Is it possible for them to be a combined network of sociopaths and morons? The Holocaust did happen didn't it? Does the Proud Boys have Thule Orgy reenactments?

CHAMBERLEAKS: US Chamber’s Lobbyists Solicited Firm To Investigate Opponents’ Families, Children
by Ryan Carboni 12 Jan '20

The whole Palantir-HBGary scandal was interesting. I wonder what was meant by "...I can exploit the home network/system" or "Lots of vulnerabilities in social media" or "Enjoys photographing children" The meer hint or insinuation of something unsavory can destroy careers, this is a scourge upon America. Epstein made a career out of it. The whole Epstein system (that is, in goes children, out goes something totally evil) should be repudiated. To protect Epstein's network is to aid and abet a criminality that has no place in America. "Nations, like individuals, are punished for their transgressions."-Ulysses S. Grant on the impact of the Mexican-American War. https://thinkprogress.org/chamberleaks-us-chambers-lobbyists-solicited-firm…

Crazy to think that I'm using the same internet that primitive tribesman are using. Or crazy to think that anyone on the internet could be a dog or a member of a massive international sex cult. The internet is very strange.

Instagram purging posts about assassinated Iranian

Washington DC (CNN Business) Instagram and its parent company Facebook are removing posts that voice support for slain Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani to comply with US sanctions, a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement to CNN Business Friday. The Iranian government has called for nationwide legal action against Instagram in protest, even creating a portal on a government website for the app's users to submit examples of posts the company removed, Iranian state media reported. Instagram is one of the few western social media platforms that is not blocked in Iran. Facebook and Twitter are blocked but some Iranians access those sites using VPNs. In a tweet, Iran's government spokesperson, Ali Rabiei, called Instagram's actions "undemocratic." Instagram shut down Soleimani's own account on the platform last April after the US government designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization. Soleimani was an IRGC commander. "We operate under US sanctions laws, including those related to the US government's designation of the IRGC and its leadership," a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement. Iranian soccer player Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who has a verified Instagram account, posted a photo of Soleimani after his death. Jahanbakhsh said Instagram had removed that post. Details of the takedowns were reported earlier by Coda Story. As part of its compliance with US law, the Facebook spokesperson said the company removes accounts run by or on behalf of sanctioned people and organizations. It also removes posts that commend the actions of sanctioned parties and individuals and seek to help further their actions, the spokesperson said, adding that Facebook has an appeals process if users feel their posts were removed in error. CNN Business has reached out to Twitter and Google for comment to ask how they handle content related to people sanctioned by the US government. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/10/tech/instagram-iran-soleimani-posts/index.ht…

I'm concerned about small arms proliferation
by Ryan Carboni 12 Jan '20

It looks like it only costs a few million dollars to overthrow a government in charge of several million people. C-4 costs $32 per kilo? https://archive.org/details/TowerCommission/page/n257 Airlift #2 - March 1985 750,000 rounds 7.62x39 ... $210,000 1,000 RPG-7 grenades ..... 265,000 8,910 hand grenades ........ 84,645 60 - 60mm mortars ............ 96,000 1,472 kgs C-4 .................... 47,104 This is no doubt an issue of public concern. Does Bellingcat know anything more about arms proliferation than a few random pictures of cargo ships at port?

At least the conditions required for the world to be run by psychosexual nutcases no longer exists. https://qz.com/1768545/hinduisms-kali-is-the-feminist-icon-the-world-desper… Kali is the quintessential embodiment of shakti, female power. She emerges as an independent goddess around 1000 BCE and evolves as a controversial character: she is a scary, bloodthirsty embodiment of destruction, and the ultimate protector against evil. She is spiritual and bodily, erotic and sexual and as such, courageous: in the Tantrik cults that revolve around her, eroticism is primarily a way of confronting one’s deepest fears.
