The Internal Revenue Service wants a piece of the crypto action

https://www.newsbreakapp.com/n/0MRBs2yi?s=a3&pd=023dWHXg The Internal Revenue Service wants a piece of the crypto action Yahoo! Donald Trump might not be a fan of cryptocurrencies, but the Internal Revenue Service still wants its cut of the profits. Shared from News Break _____________ Jim Bell's comment follows:As I understand it, in America buying and selling (foreign) currencies is tax-free. The IRS arbitrarily decided, maybe in 2013, that Bitcoin would be treated differently: presumably because they knew that it would dramatically appreciate, as it has, so that they would get a cut of the increase in value. Which, of course, is unfair. No actual value increase occurs.

Russia Probe Twist: The FBI, A Convicted Russian Agent, & A Billionaire American CEO

Intriguing relations between Russia and the USA - the FBI, very surprisingly, fails to uphold American statutory law. Another day, another exposure of Western brutishness and/ or hypocrisy and/ or outright evil. Russia Probe Twist: The FBI, A Convicted Russian Agent, & A Billionaire American CEO https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-28/russia-probe-twist-fbi-convicted-… The illegal UK seizure of an Iranian ship, and subsequent threatening of Iran with war for doing the exact same thing in response, is hypocrisy par uber: Tanker Seizures & The Threat To The Global Economy From Resurgent Imperialism https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-27/tanker-seizures-threat-global-eco… At the end of the day, it's so sad it's pathetic - partisan infighting dominates the consciousness week after week, year after year. The moral legitimacy of the West, the so called "liberal idea" etc, is in absolute tatters - or more realistically did not exist at least at the highest levels before the (((bankers))) repeatedly undermined our institutions for their personal, private gain to the detriment of all.

A simple $250M staking across up to roughly 1000 smart contracts will let you influence the entire US congress, the top two in each Executive and Military department, plus a good number of Judges, Bankers, State Governors, big city Police Chiefs and Mayors, etc. Even just half that scope is within the reach of hundreds of crypto hodlers. Given most influencees will wisely desist and or leave their GovCorp jobs well before any stake is ever expended, and only a few stakes will ever end up being spent... that seems a very low cost and low risk way for some crypto OG to impart real change in their lifetime. Not only will their smart contracts rarely trip into a spent condition, they will 100x their entire holdings by creating the most pro-cryptocurrency (aka: explicitly nonregulated) naturally adoption ready geopolitical environment they could ever dream of. Alternatively, the same $250M could also finance 5000 $50k "lobbying efforts" in favor of commitments to pro-cryptocurrency, etc. There is so much win that cryptocurrency hodlers could have out there if they would just realise and spend a little.

30 Years of Treason, Spooner
by grarpamp 27 Jul '19

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D_2EFpfXUAIiu2h.jpg https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047746AW "But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain --- that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist." - Lysander Spooner Lysander Spooner was a 19th century entreprenuer, scholar, radical abolitionist, and principled believer in natural law and liberty. Lysander Spooner came form the flinty farmland of rural New England. He was born January 19, 1808, on his father's farm near Athol, Massachusetts, the second child and second son in a family of six sons and three daughters. Before opening the American Mail Company, he sent a personal letter informing the Postmaster General (January 11, 1844), that he proposed "soon to establish a letter mail [company] from Boston to Baltimore. I shall myself remain in this city, where I shall be ready at any time to answer to any suit…" Accompanying the letter was a copy of Spooner's pamphlet, The Unconstitutionality of the Laws of Congress Prohibiting Private Mails. When his company began business on January 23, Spooner openly advertised in all the major newspapers, soliciting business. The American Letter Mail Company printed its own stamps, hired agents, and was soon conducting a busy trade. Hoping to drive Spooner out of business without raising any constitutional questions, the Postmaster General resorted to some extra-legal measures. Under a barrage of harassing legal actions, the company could not survive; for all practical purposes it had ceased to exist by July 1844. After his post office venture failed, Lysander Spooner returned to the family farm in Athol. Spooner had a clear notion of "the principles of natural equity." Although lacking formal ties before 1870 with other American anarchists, Spooner knew many of them well. The key question for an anarchist is how to combine complete individual freedom with some form of effective social co-operation. Spooner answered that community service and other social action could be realized voluntarily. He argued that "under the principle of individual consent, the little government that mankind need, is not only practicable, but natural and easy…" Spooner died “at one o'clock in the afternoon of Saturday, May 14, 1887... surrounded by trunks and chests bursting with the books, manuscripts, and pamphlets which he had gathered in his active pamphleteer's warfare over half a century long.

Faith In Technology [ex: Crypto GovBankCorp]

The real obstacle right now is probably not money or science, but religion (as infused into politics), the "go" signal... Every single major medical advance in history has been held back or at least shadowed by comments of "Gasp, you're playing God (or with Fire), only God can do that, stop now." Especially applies to any kind of "unnatural" life extension where you would have otherwise dropped... organ transplant (historically heart), etc. The Gasp's aren't making much noise about some outcomes... cancer cure, your own clone in a vat of jello in your house, brain / memory transplant, but seem to have moved on now, as their last stand in unprovable mystery, to intermediate research dependency of stem cells, embryonic blobs of a few 100k cells, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Rqw4krMOug > Moore's law applied to renewables, it's > no fucking problem :). There seems to be a going hypothesis... If Humanity can engineer biology (example halt aging, regenerate arbitrary parts, food, cures, etc) in time to be useful, then it can engineer any fix to mistakes, in time to save Humanity. > It all sounds like technology as religious experience to > me. > > Even if you buy into the inevitability of this future tech, > is it really a road map for utopia? What happens when gene > hacking becomes truly cheap and ubiquitous, and anyone > with a little biology knowledge and the right hardware can > engineer a plague? Independant Nuke and Chem are local threats, not global existential, thus can be generally ignored. Independant Bio release is the only direct global existential threat, and it only needs a brain, a little money, and a small space. With all things independant, it's extremely hard to stop a determined player... even with a geopolitical "no go" progress cap set in the world, an independant will eventually be able to push at least marginally through that artificially set development boundary. Best bet with Bio may in fact rest on having widespread ability to engineer a fix faster than a total kill can sweep. That ability requires a "go" today. It's a bit chicken egg, but you've got zero chance if you don't. > What's the answer to the Fermi paradox? Doesn't matter... alien's either do or do not exist, and they either will or will not kill us, mod any negotiations. Until Humanity itself goes interstellar or first contact or evidence happens, there seems little point in trying to plan, do, or not do, anything about such possibilities. Besides, all worthy aliens within at least a 100 light year radius already have a head start on us. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_for_extraterrestrial_intelligence https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communication_with_extraterrestrial_intellige… https://arxiv.org/abs/1707.06024 Best hope might be to bioengineer some brainless hot blondes to trade with them or use as trojan infiltrators, because on a galactic scale that might be the only unique and rare element you've got on your side... The Bimbo Attack. Another way of thinking is that Human DNA tends to do whatever it takes to survive, to advance, etc, and avoids suicide. Seems many of these debates people have "Woes, do or not do" end up moot since so long as it fits within that, it's likely to end up happening in its own course of time and progress anyways, no matter what you do.
