[sem-grd] Attendance at GGF15 and Possible Informal Meeting

This is the exactly the right way to go - i.e. use this meeting and the list to get a draft charter (and chairs etc) together and then hold a BoF next time as the next formal step towards creating the activity. Yes, there's Grid Forge for shared document space. 

Good to use this community group list to bootstrap this, then with a standards activity in place you will have a specific GGF list for the business of that group.

Hi there,

I think that one of the first priorities for this activities is to  
establish such a forum. Principally, we can use this mailing list to  
exchange ideas, I think. I was hoping that if we become a working  
group (or whatever the appropriate terminology is in GGF), then there  
would be other mechanisms in place that we could use (perhaps a web  
site and shared file space).

I will see what I can find out next week.

The most important thing that we need to do next week is work on a  
charter to define the remit of the work that we want to address;  
people who cannot attend the meeting should send suggestions to this  
mailing list and we will try to incorporate them as we can.

After next week, I will distribute a draft charter for everyone to  
review.
