Dear friends,

As you already know, one of the aims of the Grid4Utility research activity
is to deliver
components that complement the GridWay metascheduler and the Globus Toolkit
to enable the deployment of federated grid architectures, allowing companies
and research centers to access their in-house, partner and outsourced
computing resources via automated methods using grid standards in a simpler,
more flexible and adaptive way.

In the context of this activity, we are pleased to announce the release of
the following components:
- A new version of GridGateWay (1.0.1), that encapsulates a GridWay
metascheduling instance and so a grid behind a WS-GRAM service
- Scripts that allow the creation of Transfer Queues for Sun Grid Engine,
thus allowing it to submit jobs to either GT4 WS-GRAM service or directly to
a GridWay server.

These two components (GridGateWay and SGE Transfer Queues to GT and GW) can
be used together to virtualize a Grid and make it available to a local LRMS
as
SGE. This can be done configuring a GridGateWay behind a WS-GRAM service and
creating a Transfer Queue to GT4.

All components are available for download under the terms of the Apache
License, Version 2.0.

With kind regards,

Ignacio
