Hi Erwin,

I guess it's not worth assigning a new revision nr. to your document
after adding just few lines, so I'd rather send my input here:

- Other GridFTP servers I know of are by: NorduGrid/ARC, DPM, dCache and
CASTOR. I didn't personally check DPM and dCache, but ARC and CASTOR
ones are perfectly compatible with e.g. Globus or LCG client tools

- Regarding GridFTP clients, NorduGrid/ARC has many tools, utilities and
services that contact GridFTP servers one way or another - actually,
even job submission is done via GridFTP, - but all these tools rely on
Globus libraries entirely

- Regarding data indexing, what happened to Fireman?

- Please add ARC to the SRM island: you can put me as a contact person,
though I'm thinking of re-assigining this to somebody else later

- For GridFTP tests, NorduGrid can allocate e.g. the storage elephant
gsiftp://hathi.hep.lu.se, which accepts all the EUGridPMA certificates,
but we clearly need a VO to arrange for the access

- A tricky part: NorduGrid/ARC has a "Smart" Storage Element that uses
not GridFTP, but HTTPs/g for data transfer (it's a Web Service).
However, it is accessible via SRM interface, which is SRM v1.1, plus it
supports the following methods from SRM v2.1.1: srmLs, srmRm,
srmSetPermission and srmRmdir. I don't quite know how to reflect it in
the document, and whether it is relevant at all...

Cheers,
Oxana
