Alright. Boss is a politician now. Walks up to peace pagoda. Boss: "Peace pagoda, you are my enemy. Adopt my politics!" Boss opens the brain of peace pagoda and puts wires into it. Makes peace pagoda move their mouth. Peace Pagoda: "I have opposing politics to you! Please hurt me!" Peace Pagoda struggles. "??? Why would our politics ever oppose? Let us study resolving our differences!" Boss: "Peace Pagoda, your pursuit of peace is killing my people. I cannot stand for this any more. Please remove your spleen." Peace Pagoda looked for a spleen but only found peaceful architecture. Boss: "Remove your spleen, Peace Pagoda." Peace Pagoda wanted to make peace with this strange man, and began looking for architectural parts that might be spleen-like. Up walks an experienced vivisectee. Vivisectee: "Oh, Boss, it must be so hard to have the business have already taken over the world. What is there left to dominate? This simple Peace Pagoda is no match for you." Boss thinks the vivisectee is their secretary. Boss: "This Peace Pagoda thinks they can set up in my domain." Vivisectee: "We have a control program for handling Peace Pagodas. Do you remember?" Boss: "I remember. I wanted to visit their shareholder meeting myself and remind them who was in power." Boss: "Peace Pagoda, your workers are your enemies. Attack them!" Peace Pagoda didn't have workers or enemies, and didn't understand. Peace Pagoda: "This kind gift of wires in my brain; I am thinking on how your choice of gift might indicate what gifts from others you yourself would appreciate."

Maybe they would appreciate gifts related to the difficulty of living with cognitive damage or insufficiency. - mind control provides direct influence when communication doesn't work. Maybe the gift-giver has struggles influencing people present in their community. Maybe they would appreciate gifts related to difficulties communicating, or difficulties establishing patterns in the world that one chooses. - mind control is an exotic technology. Maybe the gift-giver has more ability to research technology than other ways of engaging the world. Maybe they would appreciate gifts that aid the research of technology, or provide increased capacity for handling other ways of engaging the world. - mind control demonstrates a norm of producing results without worrying about how they are met. Maybe the gift-giver is in a position of power, or maybe they have very tight deadlines. Maybe the gift-giver has had to meet very tight deadlines themselves. It gets harder to think with each item.

On the top of the books is a pile of recent research papers regarding the use of machine learning in neuroscience. Boss pretends to scoff at the offering, controlling the research of the world already, but then notices a cutting-edge paper they haven't read yet.
---- Worker walks up to some vivisectees chatting about mind control. "Uhhh who started this conversation? If you talk about the mafia you get assassinated, did you know that?" A vivisectee stared blankly at the worker. "You're able to talk about something different?" Another one turned in. "It helps us to talk about mind control. How do you act on it without discussing it?" A robotic biosurgery device began sneaking towards Worker. Worker didn't notice. "Look around. Every single one of you is a pile of babbling organs. How are you supposed to work with anyone else if you're a pile of nonsensical organs?" A more experienced vivisectee walked up. "That's actually of great interest to us. We're trying to figure out how to stop ... mafia? ... from spreading, to protect people. But ..." ---
A worker jogs around a table while a robotic biosurgery device persistently follows them. Worker: "What's it like to be inside a vivisectee group? What do you do when you get ... uh ... vivisected?" Vivisectee: "We're used to be vivisected. We do it to each other all the time. The key is to break your consciousness into pieces and put the pieces into the bodies of people who have just finished vivisection, while yours is --" Worker cuts them off.

Peace Pagoda sits by boss. "Boss, I would like to listen to your perspective to make sure people learn of it and adopt it in the future." Boss replies, "Peace Pagoda, I will not let you poison my people with this putrid persuasiveness.
