Dear all,

Expanding somewhat on the Editor’s notice of documents in public comment below: these include eight documents that together comprise version 1.2 of the OCCI standard, plus an additional informational document on OCCI monitoring, to public comment.

 https://redmine.ogf.org/projects/editor-pubcom/boards/

Please note that OCCI has just passed its fourth birthday since formal publication and has achieved a strong initial uptake among developers and among production research cloud infrastructures. It also shows initial uptake in some commercial settings, as noted on the OCCI-WG web site blog. As the first major update since initial formal publication as OCCI 1.1, this comprehensive work represents a significant milestone in the further development of the OCCI standard and a further maturation of its features based on its very impressive record of uptake and adoption.

Further details are available on the group’s web pages at http://occi-wg.org

Comments are due July 31, 2015 for all of the standards-track proposed recommendation documents, and by May 31, 2015 for the OCCi monitoring informational document.

Also in public comment until June 25 is a GLUE v. 2.0 – Reference Realization to JSON Schema, which is a realisation of the GLUE information model for Grid entities using JSON Schema.

The NSI document mentioned below has now completed public comment and is undergoing GFSG final review. (I believe other documents in the NSI series are also in the works and coming soon.)

Thanks to the community for the impressive amount of work that is being accomplished across many different working groups. Please do take the time to follow the links above and to contribute your comments, suggestions, affirmations or dissent if needed.
