GGF18 in Washington, DC is only 2 weeks away. I hope you are planning to
come. We have a lot on the schedule, and I'm hoping to make good progress on
our documents.
Right now, we are scheduled for two sessions:
Document Discussion: Wednesday, 13 September, 10am-11:30pm; Room 160
Joint RG/WG Session - Resource Usage Issues: Wednesday, 13
September, 6:30-7:15pm; Room 160
The Version 1 document has been updated to include responses to the comments
(submitted during the public comment period) that we as a group decided were
appropriate for this version of the document. Please review the document,
available on the UR-WG website at http://www.psc.edu/~lfm/PSC/Grid/UR-WG/
and bring your comments and questions to the meeting Wednesday morning.
The second session we're scheduled to host is planned to be a joint session
with other resource-related working and research groups. I will extend
invitations to these groups shortly, so please let me know which ones you
feel should be included. The list I have so far is:
OGSA Resource Selection Services (OGSA-RSS-WG)
OGSA Resource Usage Service (RUS-WG)
Production Grid Services (PGS-RG)
Standards development organizations Collaboration on networked
Resources Management Working Group (SCRM-WG)
In related news, the "Topics in Grid Management" Workshop is turning out to
be accounting and usage tracking -heavy. I'll be posting a schedule of the
talks hopefully by the end of the week on the Production Grid Services RG
website (http://www.psc.edu/~lfm/PSC/Grid/PGS-RG/). I hope you are planning
to join these sessions as well.
Thanks. See you in DC!
