I agree -- this was indeed my point as well. Typically, F2F meetings  
are useful for solving "disputes" and reaching a common understanding  
on parts of our work where there is controversy, lack of clarity or  
plain disagreement.

I don't have anything against mailing lists of course, I just think  
they fulfil different needs :-) A combination of the two would  
probably be the best solution.

But really, we must define a technical roadmap and Marcin has made a  
start towards that recently. Should we get started on the template  
and try to see if there is something missing from it, and whether we  
must introduce additional (sub)sections? My feeling is that this  
might not be necessary, but of course it's something to discuss on  
technical grounds.
