OK. Its good to hear that this will finally be done in writing.

I would focus on production-capable rather than production-quality.
Quality has nothing to do with the interface - its a matter of
implementation.

And it is also possible that there are other requirements that are not
met in the current specifications that _could_ be incorporated into the
work of PGI. Again, it would be nice to see an open discussion of these
issues.
