I've read the additions to the document and I like the additional
alternative discovery mechanism which uses multicast. Perhaps other
mechanisms in a grid fabric might also use multicast to convey information.
<AD>IN THEORY YES </AD>
What is your opinion on this possibility: When a user submits a job
request (via a portal for instance), the job manager would convey the
request to other services which trigger the (potential) instantiation of
new services. Any new service addresses are returned as part of the
instantian process and are conveyed directly to the information services
and others. Since the locations (EPRs or WS-Names) of the services are
passed around in an event driven model, would it obviated the need for
searching (discovery)?
<AD>WHERE IS MULTICAST USED HERE, IT CERTAINLY IS APPROPRIATE FOR SERVICES TO ANNOUNCE
THEMSELVES WHEN THEY ARE INSTANTIATED. AN INFORMATION SERVICE CAN "LISTEN" TO SUCH ANNOUCEMENTS
AND REGISTER SUCH SERVICES DYNAMICALLY. </AD>
I thought the naming section was important. Was it replaced by
something else or moved elsewhere?
<AD> MOVED - SEE ANDREAS MESSAGE </AD>
