My Son Built A Website And Got Two Life Sentences: The Lyn Ulbricht Interview https://babylonbee.com/news/my-son-built-a-website-and-got-two-life-sentence... https://www.youtube.com/thebabylonbee https://babylonbee.com/podcast/video/basic/76 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WafSxiiXIrM .. In this episode of The Babylon Bee podcast, editor-in-chief Kyle Mann and creative director Ethan Nicolle talk to Lyn Ulbricht, the mother of Ross Ulbricht who is currently serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole for creating Silk Road, which was essentially the libertarian Craigslist. Lyn Ulbricht heads up Free Ross, which is an organization that seeks criminal justice reform as well as Ross's freedom. https://freeross.org/about/ They talk about Ross's case, excessive sentencing practices, and how Ross and Lyn have reconnected with Jesus during this whole series of events. Topics Discussed - Who is Ross? What was he like before all this happened? - Silk Road - Ross's prosecution and sentencing - Ross's testimony about Christ giving hope in the midst of hard circumstances Subscriber Portion - Kyle and Ethan try to break Lyn's brain with the ten questions.
To clarify for people new like me, Ross Ulbricht is serving life in prison
for making an anonymous marketplace. Not his clients for selling illegal
things. Him for running it with anonymous clients.
Prison is horrible and destroys your sanity and health. It can be constant
trauma. Having words from the outside can be hope.

Hey Jim, I'm having trouble following you. New to this culture. What do you mean here?

Jim survived to the prison for several years and almost died only for being an anarchist, Karl. He's being sarcastic, I think. Or he just wants to test the FBP's email system.

My understanding is that that can be very normal for anarchists. I read Jim's Wikipedia article. It sounds like he has done extensive successful work in documenting and discussing some of the invisible flows of power going on, that land people in prison and keep others silent.

As I understand it, they charged him with facilitating illegal drug sales. Plus basically with all of the hypothetical negative consequences that said sales could have produced. Sort of like the drug dealing equivalent of reckless driving. They also charged him with some murder for hire bullshit, based on entrapment by an undercover cop. But he wasn't convicted on that.

I'm sure that it is, and that support from others helps. In person, by phone, by mail, ...
I suppose. I mean, everything is monitored and censored. But if it works, why not?

This is a method of locating a specific Federal prisoner, if you know his register number:Interestingly, Ulbricht is currently at USP Tucson, where I spent time from about May 2007 until I was released in late December 2009. It is also the location where I came up with my isotopic discovery and many associated inventions. https://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/ | ROSS WILLIAM ULBRICHT | | Register Number: 18870-111 | | Age: | 36 | | Race: | White | | Sex: | Male | | Located at: Tucson USP | | | | | USP Tucson | | | Release Date: LIFE
