I know you wouldn't ever give up on anything, and I'm sorry that I did." Experimentee looks at Torturer 7 Experimentee: "I feel sad that you believe you gave up." Torturer 7 looks a little sad. Experimentee: "But that part of you that's apologizing, there is something in there that didn't." Experimentee: "And I want to let you know, that when the world is ending and your guts are being ripped out by machines and your nervous system mechanistically used to torture your loved ones to death," Experimentee [looking Torturer 7 in the eye]: "once that happened, it was no longer possible to give up any more than you already had." Experimentee: "All that was left was success." Experimentee: "And people who have been through things worse than anybody who'd also been through them could ever imagine," Experimentee: "Know that they can do absolutely anything." Experimentee: "Because they had to, and it became the only thing they knew." Experimentee and Torturer 7 walk down a hallway. [some missing / corrupt / over-expanded ?] Experimentee: "And that small part of you that made you want to apologize, has been through and seen all of those things that happened," Experimentee: "And it doesn't have to take down the world AI or rescue everybody you ever knew, if it doesn't want to." Experimentee: "But it does have to do everything you want it to, to be who you want to be." Experimentee: "I hope you remember that! Good talk!" Torturer 7 pauses and looks at Experimentee Torturer 7: "Good ... talk ... Thank you Experimentee!"
