i lost read access to arweave via gateways though none of them are passing my checks and offering basic endpoints any more and the problems are more than one and changing including many tls problems. when the tls problems worsened i updated my packages and there were strangely openssl and python updates despite just recently updating and then strangely i did not have to reinstall my python packages despite a new python major version unsure
also i started fixing tls in arweave and they said they decided to remove it instead T_T T_T what is this?? makes no sense !! https://github.com/ArweaveTeam/arweave/pull/973
Actually we're probably just going to remove the TLS support entirely. Someone else noticed last week that it's not working and probably hasn't for some time - which implies no one's been using it. Thank for the report and PR. I'm happy to review any other changes you put up.
so sad. I gotta use my first AI interpreter/mediator for this one or something. been wanting TLS for years. can't be alone in that.
but the _cool awesome news_ i found migrating block structure is that _arweave supports ecdsa signatures now!!_ at a brief glance it looks like ecdsa can be used instead of rsa anywhere signatures are used, blocks and transactions, and the code defaults to rsa for backward compatibility. but it's super exciting!!

test send from panera! i got to update the block format and tests. not cery easy to do all the crypto and api porting in termux but it loads them now it looks like the arweave gateways are no longer providing *2 binary endpoints for me. uncertain whether that's filtrring or design change. at panera, some gateways work, some are blocked by dnsfilter, for me. i changed this post code to use one that provides the block information the post code uses and also works at panera.
