thought we'd make image of above and for first time i was able to make progress on asciifying it. language models have been ascii-art-crippled for me for some reason after the underwater-hacker chat generations, all the different language models reach me with very bad looking ascii art now but it turns out photo-to-ascii is a diversely solved problem, even studied in research papers. one casual solution found by a chat ai was https://github.com/JuliaPoo/AsciiArtist which makes nice sparse outline-focused images from photographs and ai generations but is stale by 3 years and needs to be ported forward
