According to a letter dated 7-12-1968--shortly after passage of the Omnibus Crime Act, which contained most of GCA '68, but four months before enactment of the full law -- the Library of Congress provided Sen. Dodd(Dem) a requested translation of the 1938 Nazi gun control law and returned "the Xerox copy of the original German text which you supplied."
