The problem for THIS member of an opposition party is that the percentage of the U.S. budget comprising "Black" (secret, "off the books" usually mil./intelligence) programs grows yearly, like inflation. At the same time, the speed of chips increases like the national debt and their cost goes down steadily, (see Robert Hettinga's post titled, "e$: The Book-Entry/Certificate Distinction" describing Moore's law). These trends, (IMO) bode ill for my long-term personal (and political!) privacy, unless the freedom of those of you able to "write code"(tm) implement- ing my privacy is unfettered.
