Sounds like an attempt to moderate the list. I mean it's easy to post out of it, but hard to answer to it. And all of the good back and forth discussion gets lost in a backwash of private email.

There is just no way I will send someone an email to a posting they post out of there. I think that would be a disservice to everyone here.
