FWIW, I gate all my subscribed mailing lists to local newsgroups because my newsreading tools are much better than my mailreading tools.
The down side is that Usenet is more or less a sewer these days, and some of it's bound to spill over.
The unfiltered list already had spammers and flamers. Would you expect nore sewage, different sewage or a combination? - -- Roy M.
