A nymserver allows any person with access to email to anonymous create an alias at <username@nym.gondolin.org> through which they may send/receive email. This psuedonym is completely anonymous, and the identity of the user cannot be revealed as it is contained within a PGP encrypted reply block (unlike anon.penet.fi).
