CDMF alleviates the worry of having your data flow across the network in clear text. The degree of security is equivalent to encryption using DES but with keys limited to 40 bits. IBM has obtained approval from the US Government to export CDMF in products without the license required to export products containing DES.
Exportable and limited to 40 bits? Sounds like they're using RSA's RC2 algorithm. Jim_Miller@suite.com
