When the idea of the NC was first floated, I thought to myself what an absolutely terrible idea it was.
So did I -- then it struck me that if they soup up the V-Chip a bit, and consider that the Telecom Deregulation Act specifically allowed the cable TV provider to also provide telephony, i.e. a 2-way connection, you could have near-universal Internet access.
