[wg-all] OGF 41 Atlanta news: XSEDE14 hotel and registration rates extended

For those of you planning to come to OGF 41 at the XSEDE 2014 conference July 13-18 in Atlanta, please note that the hotel and registration dates have now been extended through June 27, as summarized in the announcement below.

The schedule for the week is also online at http://xsede14.sched.org and includes five blocks of Open Grid Forum track sessions to occur on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings as well as afternoons and also Thursday morning. This should cover the session requests for working group, community group and BOF meetings received so far. The meetings that have been requested will be assigned among these time slots shortly.

XSEDE14 hotel and registration dates extended!

XSEDE14 kicks off in Atlanta on July 13 and will include high-quality presentations in four technical tracks, tutorials, a visualization showcase, birds-of-a-feather talks, posters, lightning talks, various sponsor activities, a day-long workshop on reproducibility, a job fair and a variety of opportunities for student involvement.

Among the various plenary speakers are Dr. Farnam Jahanian, the Assistant Director for the National Science Foundation’s Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), and Dr. Irene Qualters, the Division Director for the Division of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (CISE/ACI).

The XSEDE14 planning committee has announced the extension of hotel room block rates and conference registration rates to June 27. Conference registration will remain at $500 for full conference registration before increasing to $600 after June 27.

XSEDE14 will take place in Atlanta from July 13-18, 2014 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and will showcase the discoveries, innovations, challenges and achievements of those who utilize and support XSEDE resources and services, as well as other digital resources and services throughout the world. The theme of XSEDE14 is “Engaging Communities,” to engage both traditional users of digital resources and people who have not traditionally used digital resources but would benefit from their usage.
