Dear all,

We (i.e., OGF) have started some joint liaison work between OGF and the Telecommunications Management Forum (TMForum) on service agreements, including service level agreement management (e.g., WS-Agreement and WS-Agreement Negotiation applications) and the overall context of cloud and other distributed computing service agreements. Ramin Yahyapour from GWDG has agreed to act as point of contact with TMForum on this topic, and others (for example, Wolfgang Ziegler from Frauhofer Institute) who are also members of both OGF and TMForum, or who are also interested in this topic, are welcome to contribute. Note that the link in the TMForum message below is only open to TMForum members, but we have a liaison agreement in place, so please contact Ramin if you would like to contribute.

Matteo Turilli of the EGI Federated Cloud task force has also indicated some interest in this topic from the point of view of that project.

Please forward any contribution you may have, or link to related outside work that might provide use cases or standards-oriented work on metrics for clouds and on grid and cloud service agreements, to Ramin and Matteo.

In the meantime, I offer the following link to all who may find it useful to the current thinking of the OpenStack design community on cloud metrics, billing and monitoring. Similar links and contributions from those who may be working on similar cloud and grid software stack framework projects would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Alan
