Title: SAGA API Extension: Service Discovery API

Abstract: This document speciï¬es a Service Discovery API extension to
the Simple API for Grid Applications (SAGA), a high level,
application-oriented API for grid application development. This
Service Discovery API is motivated by a number of Use Cases collected
by the OGF SAGA Research Group in GFD.70, and by requirements
derived from these Use Cases, as speciï¬ed in GFD.71. It allows
users to ï¬nd services with minimal prior knowledge of the grid or
grids they plan to use.
