Dear all,

Following are the topic discussed on today's phone meeting:

- Current situation:
APEL uses CAR for CPU.
StAR is used to send to APEL but it is not published anyway.
CAR and StAR are quite similar to UR2 but no implementation seems to be available now.

- Plans for the "dissemination" and advertisement of UR:
Improve the UR-WG web page.
Provide some slide to document the UR definition (probably some slide from the last OGF can be used).
Provide a downloadable file with the xsd schema.

- Plans for future development of UR:

The new UR, if there will be one, should be only an upgrade and be 100% retro-compatible.
At least GPU and pilot job should be taken in consideration for a new version.

Regards,
Andrea

P.S.: after EGI TF and OGF in Madrid we should have another phone meeting and if there is enough interest we should resume the work on the future version, "dissemination" and advertisement. If anyone has also suggestion of conferences or meeting where we could advertise our work it might be useful.

Dear all,

Not many of us voted the Doodle pool:

Anyway the end of August is closing in an I would say that the best day for the meeting seems to be the 13th of September from 14:00 CEST to 15:00 CEST.
I think that it will not take more than one hour. We should discuss how to move on from now. What do we need on the UR? Who can contribute on the work? Shall we resume the bi weekly phone meetings?

I think that we should not start any technical discussion but, as far as possible, decide only how to organize the future work.

Regards,
Andrea
