Yeah sure, the protector must be above reproach (loose translation of the
idiom), but that doesn't say anything about self-sacrifice you twit.
To be "without blame" (a more precise translation) only mean to have not
acted in an unfair way. Shooting guys who are trying to bash you with a
steel cylinder is not unfair, it's just good sense.
